Hello there! Perhaps some of you recognize me, but im sure most of you don't!

In most games that don't facilitate ingame talking, IRC is still the predominant p2p chat. You'll find huge communities on other servers, i.e for starcraft, counterstrike, etc or shitty games like runescape.

Vets have mostly left VU, particularily the KDs that were based there (like LGC), hence no need to stay. And since there are none about to teach the scrubs and nubs how to use it (plus the 14 y olds fascination with IMAGESLOL), they've gone to intellectually inferior progs.

In terms of gaming communities, IRC is way ahead and has been for some time, it's still the prog of choice and I still have use for it on other servers. VU's vets have failed to pass the baton on though, and there does seem to be an influx of stupidity in VU these days. And unfortunately for them, IRC requires basic knowledge to run.

I do use irc, all the time, 24/7 in fact :). I have just not been idling in the VU chan that much because I havent played in a long time. However last time I was there, like 6 months ago, the vets from years and years back were still there. And now, there is NO ONE :o. I was shocked. Hopefully a few are still idling around there, and I just chose a bad time to log-on... But somehow I doubt that.

Erh. Using skype instead of irc? Yea right :p

Fixed it up for you.  Whether IRC is better than Skype or not, more people use Skype so if you just love IRC and can't possibly convert to Skype then good luck being lonely in that part of your life :P

I disagree. It's not stupidity that compels me, but ignorance. 

How is that relevant to my skills? And this IS an INTERNET page. So it gives me a right to be whatever I feel like.. an E-thug at times, annoying most of the other times, and times like now where I just say something that sounds smart so you'll shut up.. which really never works.. (reason I do it. I love starting flamers up)

Ah so sweet.  You have no idea how long he has been playing actually.  

I've tried the VU Chat, irc, MSN messenger, and Skype all to no avail. Communication is pretty poor IMO. A few eras ago there was decent (8-10) amounts in VU chat but not anymore.

Maybe I should get in a bigger KD?

You know, this is the first time I see skype actually even compared with IRC. VU never cease to amaze me!
