You can make channels, op, deop, kick, voice all IRC can do but you dont have to be online and idle 24/7 And no, I dont talk to pple on skype, I chat!

If you are in conference(talking) you can mute, or just drop out. when you will get back, they can add you back to talking. Skype is way better

Therefore, stupid people have a hard time understanding how set up server details, join channels, make their own etc. It's a bit like Darwin's work. Survival of the fittest. Those who are too stupid to work out how to configurate IRC use the ingame chat, MSN, Skype and all those other simpleton programs. Good, intelligent players use IRC. Enjoy your scrubs.

If you are telling that you are one of "The strongest, smartest invidiuals" only because you configured your IRC - I am sorry for you. You are not smarter at all - you're using uncomfortable program and think that those who are using new technology are dumb? For example: Do you also think that those who takes medicine when they are ill, instead of making religious ritual (as good old days) are stupid? Skype is newer more efficient and much more comfortable messenger. Also for many people messenger is not only for games. I personally prefer Skype, because all of my contacts and friends uses it. So why should I have second messenger eating my computer memory just for VU?

Ive been using skype for least 3 yrs now, where I live its used for many things, Ive been using it at work, staying in touch with ppl far away, for gaming etc. Skype is easy operational, what I like about skype is the sbility to read through the chats if u actually want. yes its possible to spam the chats on skype, but its also an alternative for any alliance that wants to make one KD room just for posting and one where ppl can chat in same alliance. Having said that. Not many likes that much organisation anyway and wont use it. this " omg ur so dumb cause u use IRC /skype" discussion is idiotic, skype takes more space on your computer, but has more features than IRC, You can have group calls, videocalls, play games, the multitxtbased chats that are used in alliances now, and pm's. so in many ways like MSN. skype is slightly quicker tho imo If u however wanna try it out there is options to make it lag lessunder the main frame window (tools/options/im-sms (advanced options) where u can choose how long u keep ur history for. u can also regulate this by only clearing certain chats by rightclicking them in the main window.) If u want the sound away again, main frame window tools/options/sounds. yea we might have killed of IRC but then again, some like black n white movies, some dont.. shit happens that menu there is pretty useful. and as its been said there is possibility to set your online status from receiving new popping windows.
