Test
00:51:42 Jun 1st 08 - Mr. Ironic:

My teacher gave my class quite possibly the hardest test I've ever taken and ever will take. She didn't give us any time to study for it or anything just told us we were taking a test that we couldn't study for. Every 3 questions we got right a bonus point was added to our exams.

The rules of the exam were two members per team and  wherever necessary, answers to questions must be supplemented with a brief and precise explanation.

Me and this girl in my class teamed up got 9 questions out of 24 and I was wondering if any VUers could get more right just out of curiosity. Give me the answers by PM.This is purely for the fun of it. Anyways heres the first question.

1. What common feature do the following have that all other letters in the alphabet do not?

B D G J P Q R U

03:25:13 Jun 1st 08 - Mr. Jones:

I have a few questions...

1. In what country did you write this in?
2. Do you have the answers to all of the questions given?
3. Is this an IQ test that you took in your school, or was this test part of your class syllabus?

03:29:12 Jun 1st 08 - Mr. Ironic:

1. America

2.Yes

3. A completely random test because we finished everything including the stuff that was extra so now we have classes with nothing to do. Though he did give us an IQ test to us earlier in the year for the fun of it.

Also if you're interesting in playing post on this thread. I've only gotten about 6  messages from  different contestants.

The answer is that each of those words are made out of curved and straight lines, they're also the only ones in the alphabet that are like that.

I rather like the next question because the Don Quixote line which is the only reason I got it.

Suzlon Energy Limited, based in Pune is Asia’s largest and the world’s ninth largest manufacturer of these machines which generally stand 30-40 feet tall with galvanized steel and aluminum being the crucial materials associated with its design. A huge amount of money goes into research in this direction and each of these machines can cost several millions of dollars, achieving efficiencies of over 99%. Identify this machine that Don Quixote de la Mancha would love to hate.

Eh fine I'll put two questions up from now on. Here are the two questions.

2.Suzlon Energy Limited, based in Pune is Asia’s largest and the world’s ninth largest manufacturer of these machines which generally stand 30-40 feet tall with galvanized steel and aluminum being the crucial materials associated with its design. A huge amount of money goes into research in this direction and each of these machines can cost several millions of dollars, achieving efficiencies of over 99%. Identify this machine that Don Quixote de la Mancha would love to hate.

3.An earthquake that measures 8 on the Richter scale would be how many times stronger than an earthquakethat measures 4 on the same scale?

(the third one's not really that hard but if you don't know much about the Richter scale then you'll never be able to guess it)

15:26:42 Jun 2nd 08 - Mr. Killer:

The answer is that each of those words are made out of curved and straight lines, they're also the only ones in the alphabet that are like that.

ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

You should be more specific... And O possibly as well as the S if you're going to be really picky.

17:01:31 Jun 2nd 08 - Mr. Ant:

lol ^ he just said that and he asked you to message him with your answers

02:55:33 Jun 3rd 08 - Mr. Arvious V:

straight lines, s and u dont have straight lines

04:04:48 Jun 3rd 08 - Duke Fafnir The Odd:

Have a bigger look at it
S...no it does not have straight lines

U...on the other hand has a straight line between the curve and the top.

04:09:03 Jun 3rd 08 - Mr. Arvious V:

U curves, thatt is not considered a line, if it bender like an angle it would, but nio its mot

05:06:18 Jun 3rd 08 - Mr. Ironic:

Thats a line near the top.

18:11:25 Jun 3rd 08 - Mr. Arvious V:

That is not a line.

18:22:48 Jun 3rd 08 - Mr. Mushasji:

sure it is.

21:02:33 Jun 3rd 08 - Mr. Ant:

i suppose you could argue tat the 's' could be on the list, but the 'u' is right
