This is actually wrong. While Germany did do initial research on the subject, it was ruled impossible to do well before the end of the war. Unlike what some very nice "what if Germany lasted a few more months" theories tell us, Germany were not months away from a nuclear device, and not only weren't they close to it, but the nublear weapons program was terminated years before.

Congress can do very little here, simply because Americans are so blindly patriotic and think it's their right to police the world. Only thing Congress can do is stop funding the troops, tell me how do you think that will play to the patriotic verging on nationalism americans?

The tree of liberty must be replenished with the blood of tyrants and patriots. We took our country from the so called Great British Empire. We can damn sure take it from these dumbasses in congress. Everyone in the military is patriotic. And if they arent they shouldnt be in the military. If this government were to take away our patrioticness, they would lose their nuclear bases, Norad, Infantry bases, tank bases whatever base there is out there. THe military would revolt.

Please re-read my post, think, re-read the posts to which I responded so that you understand the context, think some more, and then post your response.  I said that parties do not have to vote together, and your response was "just 95% of the time."  I was not making a statement about what is, but what could be if the partisan fools opened their eyes.

From your posts, it seems as though you have an inherent, illogical bias against Americans in general and feel the need to throw them all into the patriotic-nationalist basket.  Your characterization of American's views of the world is a massive generalization based on a close-minded worldview.  Because your arguments all stem from this bias, I have nothing more to say to you.

Hardly, I actually like the US, but when you have people like Frankie talking about how great and wonderful and always right the US is, I get sick after a while. Not even the US government annoys me so much as americans that think their country is pure like snow white.

The US is just like any other nation, it's out to protect its interests, no more no less. But for some strange reason many Americans have huge problems with admiting their nation does things of dubious morality. Frankie is the perfect example of this, who seems to be proposing a that the military should do a coup. Perhaps you'd like to tell us if you share those ideas?

Oh and in closing, stop with the "Everybody's against us" rethoric, it doesn't help your argument, it only makes you look foolish.

Septim, Germany are the ones who brought us into the modern day weaponry. They had machine guns, turrets, tanks etc. Everyone else just followed along and made modern day weaponry to match the germans power. The German Panzer tank was great in 1v1. But when british, american, and russian tanks gang up on them, then its a slaughter house.

Democratic and republican governments can only work in a perfect world with no greed, as well.  Face it, some people are always always going to lie, cheat, or steal to get ahead, and then shirk their responsibility when it's in their best interest to do so.

Lol late response to something hirgon said earlier, I didnt mean many lives would have been saved if america hadn't intervened dumass, I said if america intervened EARLIER many lives would have been saved and the war would have ended earlier but nvm, forget about it. Anyway one more thing...:

Dude, Great Britain never got conquered lol! We haven't been successfully invaded since 1064 by the normans, and they're what made us what we are today anyway so they kind of ARE us. The USA broke away from the brittish empire, not conquer it, you guys didnt even have a fraction of the power of our army at the time, it's just an empire is pretty hard to maintain, you have to distribute the army to all over the empire you control and at the time we were at war with france, so focusing on keeping the USA under brittish control wouldn't make sense if it meant taking troops away from the war with france or taking from defences. It's like saying, "Hey, that ant took a crumb from my cake! I'll kill you cake-stealing ant!!!"

Besides, no one was really to know the USAs full potential at the time, India was our main concern, it was one of the first countries added to our empire and it provided alot of trade. At the time america was just a backwater country without a great deal of importance, there was no aztec empire there to steal gold from and get rich of off like the spannish did, so as far as we were concerned we had bigger problems.

And my problem isn't with what america have done, or with america. There's nothing wrong with the USA, it's just some of the people that live there that I cant stand when they start getting into all the patriotic stuff. There's nothing wrong with pride in your country but some of you just take it to new extremes, I wouldn't be suprised if someone here thought jesus was from america lol.

As what Mist said earlier, some americans just can't get to terms that the USA is a normal country that does normal things. The thing that creates anger against america is normally because of over-patriosm, you see too much good in your own nation and ignore alot of the bad, everyones made mistakes geez. Then again, I guess you could say the same about quite alot of other nations too, but it's just seems to be more of it with america. And I don't think anyone can be insulted by what I just said because it's pretty basic and wasn't intending to insult anyone but hey, someone will probly come along soon and prove me wrong.

lol two years off, accident. I know SOMETHING happened in 1064 though, I think that was when the war started. But 1066 was when William actually won and took over. I have a bad memory when it comes to exact times....
