I don’t see how this can be dumb… 

I don’t debate religious people on that. The fact that we don’t know leaves the possibility that what they believe can still be true…. 

It also comes back to descartes for me… starting with doubting everything. Then he started his philosophy with… ok: i think therefore i am… what if that isn’t true eighter. Then you start with a mistake. Maybe it’s not because you think that you exist. You can’t prove mind means existing. That’s no fact eighter. 


On the flat world matter also… so the fact that the things we think is common knowledge isn’t true, just proves even more to me. If the things we think are true aren’t true, then we can start doubting everything we think is true, leaving us with doubt about everything… ergo we don’t know anything. So everything is possible.
