The 50 percent rule | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|
The 50% rule protects weaker rulers in the lesser realms. That means your attacks will be limited. If the target has one third of your land, you will not be able to attack him. If the target has half your land, you will not be able to take over or raze the city, you can still plunder+ or cast magic. The Lesser RealmsThe outskirts of the world, where new players land, is referred as the lesser realms. It's currently Valhalla, Armageddon, Talents, Midgard and any new world that is not connected. Hostile AttacksIf someone from your targets kingdom has attacked someone from your kingdom, your target will not be protected. Not all attacks count as hostile attacks though. Attacks that does not count are:
Closed gatesIf the target has the gates closed, he/she will only be protected if the attacker comes from another realm. | ||||
Why did my city get taken if I'm in 50% protection?? WTF really what happend i dont know....
please help
| ||||
were your gates closed? If they were then the 50% rule would not apply to that city as the system sees it as a blocker | ||||
The 50% rule doesn't turn on and off like a light switch. If you attack someone (as in, you aren't defending your city), then your 50% rule is negated even if they annihilate you. | ||||
What about a player who moves in to spy on your kingdom, and cannot be attacked because of the 50% rule, and the player never builds anything to remain in protection under the rule? The whole kingdom the spy is in becomes able to see your workings, and cannot be evicted. | ||||
That player would only be able to see what cities are there.. The moment the player preps on a city to try and see what GTs, troops or whatever he has in there, the army can be defeated. | ||||
That's the issue though, he can sit there indefinitely and supply information to his kingdom on the comings and goings of armies and cities. | ||||
I understand what you are trying to say. An enemy player sends a scout to your kingdom's core and stays there just to supply his kingdom with your army movements and potential threats. Personally I don't think it matters much in lower worlds | ||||
"If the target has half your land, you will not be able to take over or raze the city, you can still plunder+ or cast magic." I read this as I can still siege him also. If the spy is in your kd, that's your own fault for accepting them. Force the player to attack or live a broke visual-utopian life. | ||||
if a person goes inactive for a set amount of time they lose the protection | ||||
This rule is meant to protect newbies, what it actually does is screws the game up. | ||||
Just remove the protection from Valhalla as that world is also popular due to not having experience limit. That would solve the problem, and simply dont play worlds that have protection. | ||||
No. That's what makes Valhalla different than all the other lower worlds. If you don't like the 50% rule then play on one of the higher worlds. Taking the 50% rule off Valhalla would just make it the same as any other higher world. Valhalla is there for people who want the 50% rule but have over 5000 xp. | ||||
why can someone under the 50% protection rule cast magic on someone that has more that times their land and the person being casted on can do nothing about it? (it does not count as an "attack" | ||||
Pretty Sure it counts as an Attack. | ||||
If the cast has been done defending a city it does not count as an attack. | ||||
perhaps it was because the spell failed? not really sure. the person in question joined a kd we were at war with and so we were able to take her land anyways. but still | ||||
