Barack VS McCain | ||||

How do you think will win the election as USA president McCain or Barack . And why you think so.
Barack Obama. Hes younger and better looking. History has shown that US voters care little about the issues, but rather who is the prettier candidate.
I personally think it will be Obama, but not because i think that voters would seriously choose a prettier candidate. If Americans actually decide the running of their country on looks they must be rather unintelligent and stupid. I think that Obama will win because he has a much fresher and realistic look upon the current issues undermining the American system. One example is the American market on Wall Street which was deemed to crash, but which Bush did nothing about. The Wall Street crash would not have even occured if it were not for his selfish and greedy attack on Irag for its oil. Everybody knows it wasn't to stop terrorists or because they had nuclear weapons, as there was NONE there. Obama would not have been so stupid, and he will hopefully make constructive and positive improvements to the American system, especially the health system. I think most people hope to god McCain doesnt win as he isn't mentally fit to be president, due to being tortured during the Vietnam War and that he is 72. Also adding the fact that he plans on drilling for oil in national parks, which won't be completed for 10 years, 2 years after his presidency finishes!

Let's elect Zeta! | ||||
Rox take a look at the portraits of U.S. Presidents starting with Washington and work your way up to today and you will find they are mostly old and ugly people.
For the financial situation in the U.S., there were very concerned Republicans who saw the impending financial problems facing the lending institutions back in 2001. President Bush called for new regulations to help avoid the potential melt down in Fannie May and Freddie Mac. Allan Greenspan also spoke of the need for new and stronger regulations. A bill was passed in the House of Represantatives to correct the problems but when it was sent to the Senate, every Republican voted for it, every Democrat voted AGAINST it. Since the Democrats hold the majority in the Senate, of course the bill was defeated in 2005. The Democrats by defeating this important legislation have helped to perpetrate the financial meltdown in America. Bush and the Republicans were on top of the situation years ago, but the Democrats will never let pass an opportunity to *beep* over their opponents. The Democrats did nothing to help avoid this problem, they did more to help create it. If Americans are smart they will vote away EVERY Democrat in the Congress. As for the energy problems, the Democrats have voted down every new drilling legislation for the past 20 years. The also tie up construction of new refineries with all kinds of legal and environmental red tape. The preident does not make law in the U.S., only the Congress can write new law. The President does not control the budget in the U.S., only the Senate can spend the money. So, please Duke Elliot, pull your head out of Obama's ass and try to get closer to the truth of what is going on in the U.S.
I don't get caught up with the political parties, I vote for who I think would make a good president...half the people I know vote for somebody just because they're a member of a specific party...
uh ya how about you look at the main reason why all of our money is gone. The war caused a huge econimc boom at the beginning but now because of over manufacturing and no place to send it over anymore we are now facing a depression. It happens all the time no matter whos in presidency. So really its just a race on who can lie the most. Obama For The Prez
Yes, of course you vote your party. That's why you join it. Are there a bunch of teenagers here? Where are all the adults who actually understand the issues?
| ||||
As he neared his resignation, Geroge Washington wrote a letter to the nation. He warned of the danger of political parties, and how they would turn the government from a group of people interested in their nation's future to a rabbling mob of power hungry professional politicians. In short, he opposed political parties. However, near the beginning of the election of the second presdient, two parties, the Democrats and the Federalists emerged. They declined in popularity, however, and faded from the political mainstream of the time. When the seventh presidency (don't quote me, it was close to then, i'm pretty sure) began, two new parties gained prominence. The National Republicans, or Whigs, and the Democrats. These two political parties are still the most popular today.
Stupid parties...Washington for President! ;-)
The Wall Street crash, as you put it, is becuase of a monsterous debt to equity problem in mortgage back securities, not the war against terror. There is a LOT of bad debt right now. You are comparing a few billion on war costs to about half a TRILLION in bad securities.
I think McCain will win. The republicans have a crapload of tricks to get people to vote for them.
@Mingan: | ||||
Good lord, you are only repeating what the New York Times has told you. You too have swallowed the poison pill.
| ||||
haha | ||||
The President does not write loans for people. Banks do that and they did it poorly from years ago leading to what we now see is a big problem. The Government's position is to insure the debt which helps potect the banking industry. The bad loans were not demanded by the Bush adminstration, geez, kid, you need to wake up. Regulations were needed and demanded by Bush, and defeated in Congress by a Democratic majority. That is what the truth is. Check it out instead of gulping down the leftist media kool-aide.
You have no idea about American economy. Frederick, you are much smarter. YAY! the housing bubble, in essence (what you said is rather correct as well), actually resides with the Fed. Not sure how much economics you know, but they basically dropped the interest rate far below where it should have been. This allowed people to take out mortgages and not worry about paying them back. It is basically a sale on mortgages, a really good one at that! so, being able to find good deals, Americans unable to pay back the loans took them out anyway, for the sake of saving money that they didn't have. now the real problem with Bush is giving money to the lenders. That will do nothing the solve this, and in fact make it worse by teaching the lenders the government will aide their stupidity. laisez faire should have been the practice in this case.
Once again, the President does not write the checks, the Senate does that. Bush can only ask and make suggestions, the actual law and the costs to go with it are the function of the Senate. Low interest rates made mortgages more attractive, but still, the banks wrote up all those bad loans to people who were not very well qualified to pay them back.
The republicans have a crapload of tricks to get people to vote for them. You remember the "hanging chads" debaucle perpetrated by Al Gore and the Democrats to try to *beep*-over the Republicans? You must be drinking the same stuff Frederick drinks...
The fact is, Franklin Raines became CEO of FNMA in 1999. He is a big-time Liberal and worked as Clinton's budget director prior to that. He has been in charge of FNMA for years and is now under investigation for improper accounting practices at FNMA. He has contributed 100"s of thousands of dollars to Obama and Clinton campaigns. He quit a few years ago when the FBI showed up to figure out what the problems in FNMA really are. The system was *beep*ed up by America-hating Liberals, NOT President Bush. You will be hearing more about this in the next few months. Now Franklin Raines is one of Obama's financial advisors and may be in line for a Cabinet post if (God forbid) Obama gets elected. This you will never hear from your leftist media providers. You need to be smarter than what you think, believe me. There is much more going on than what you are allowed to read in the newspapers.
There is enough oil in offshore areas, in Alakan wilderness, and in Colorado shale to supply the U.S. with fuels for 60 years. What are you guys smoking? Of course you can help yourself with more domestic oil production. A lot of it can be had much sooner than 10 years.
Take a look at the records. There is no 12 year reign of Republican majority. It's in the public record. You are just way misinformed.
Ther is no further point in arguing. You have been brainwashed by leftist media far too long. Yet, there is still hope for you. You will begin to figure things out when you are watching the nightly news programs and you ask yourself "Why are they giving me this information? What are they trying to make me believe? And what is the rest of the information they did NOT tell me?" When you do this, you are on the path to freedom.
Brainwashed? seems you are the one drilling stuff into peoples heads here :) maybe open your mind a lil' ey ;)

Mass Media all together is bull*beep* but since you only said Leftist I imagine you watch Fox, maybe you should considering putting those questions to Fox. Lol If you want proof of this, watch Fox until you eventually see something about Ossetia. I guarantee that you'll be waiting for a few days, why? They were wrong.
ACtually Mingan is explaining everything correctly. The oil we plan on drilling is a perfect idea since McCains running mate has a plan to make it less hazerdous to the enviroment. Second Democrats are dumbasses. They are for wellfare. They think that the hard working US citizens should have to pay for those to fuking lazy to work. They are also for the government to run EVERYTHING like health care,schools, etc. Thats to much power to the national government. Democrats are FOR taxes. With how expensive everything is todays especially gas, i dont want a Democrat running this country especially since majority of congress is Democrat and will skyrocket taxes to pay for programs that they think are necessary. They arent for cracking down on major issues but think talking is going to get sh*t done. For example i believe JFK was president at the time. The russians were on Cuba setting up Nukes to fire at us. JFK is the only democrat that has ever cracked down on a major issue like this. He told them either get off Cuba or i whipe it off the map. Russians didnt shoot one single nuke and left. Since then no other democrat has resorted to violence. In todays fuked up world talking gets you no where. You have to blow teh door down.
simple as this, Barrak will give us change but will take our dollars, and that is just what we dont need during times like these
this is an interesting website that you can mess around with and see who could possibly win which state etc..
man i didnt realize how many liberals their were...its god awefull..im sorry but all ofu retards will kill this nation if u vote for obama..*beep*in socialist bastads u bunch all are..
The Oil crisis is not Bush's fault *beep*s-.- The oil shortage has been a long time coming and we've just ignored it. Bush just ended up the unlucky president who finally has to deal with it. And he has to deal with it with a democratic Congress who are obeying their leaders and fighting every single plan Bush has.
Besides we are teh richest country on the planet. If we were to call in all our loans that we gave to rebuild countries then we would have more money then anyone on earth
NO MORE DRAMA VOTE OBAMA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Vote Zeta!!!!!!!!!!!! :D!!!
Rubyian has some of the same ideas that I have...Bush got shafted by the bad timing of world events...right now he is probably one of the most hated people in world history...not many people may know that Abraham Lincoln was hated at his time and look at him now? Most Americans think he was one of the best US presidents...not sayin that the same will happen for Bush
I just have a question. Why are the biggest a-holes in the country the only ones who make it far in the presidential race?
It's all about money... Whoever has control of the most gets to run the country...
Well, After the president is elected i smell a big Racial War ahead... I personally think Obama is the best, McCain is another George Bush... And it is obvious that they only care about money, not the people or anything else.
@Mingan: | ||||
About the tax cut plan of either party, i will just post this graph:
Did you know that America already has the second highest taxes on the rich in the world? Why do we need to keep stealing their money? I don't care how rich they are, that doesn't mean we should be taking of all their money to cover for everyone else. McCain's plan is built to balance the economy and make it healthier all around, from the top down. Its not just about the middle class immediately getting money, its about balancing the economy as it is. Then everything else will fix itself. Obama's plan is a feel-good plan directed at getting him votes, just like every other plan he has. He is all talk. And that is the reason I will not vote for him. Its all about votes to him, his plan is to win the election first then worry about the problems later. McCain, as the more experienced person, knows what he has to do and has the balls to do it. He is known to go against his party and do what is right, not what the politicians want to happen. Obama on the other hand has done just about nothing in the Senate. A list of key votes on the most important bills shows that he always votes democratic. The only time he actually voted against the democrats was a time when the democrats and republicans agreed and voted the same. He has no balls, he's a little puppet who doesn't know what he's getting himself into.
@Ghost, | ||||
Sorta what I was thinking when he posted that...XD
@Ghost: | ||||
@Ghost | ||||
He is halfways right though in a way;-) The reason we can get such big loans without paying it back is because we police the world and protect many countries. Japan for example depends on our protection and instead focuses on technology and economy. In return, they loan a lot of money to us. America is basically getting paid for policing and aiding just about every other country in the world. Loaning money to America is basically and unofficial payment for America's aid. Or to look at it differently, they are investing in us so that we will be able to help them;-)
Brain you dumbass. We rebuild other countries after wars that we were involved in and if we were in that country. We dont just rebuild them and call it even. THose countries are indebted to us right now. None of them have payed us back yet. So we call in their loans which is ALOT such as Iraq, Afganistan, Kuwait etc. owe us a sh*t load of money
yeah but barack want to tax people that earn more money by a compley fait way and make it so people that dont make as much money be able to continue feeding off the goverment. thats rediculios. they need to be taxed more at the bottom and less at the top. well in some cercumstances that is. some people just get to the top of bussiness because their buddy is their and says oh hey come join me. thats *beep*. and share holders get *beep*ed over by these kinds of people who take 51% of the shares so share holders dont get any way. they should but a cap on that... like owners can only take 25.00000000000000000000000001%
I think people who are not old enough to vote should not be in here :)
