So as a special race that can construct into terrain, if i take a city owned by that same race abutting terrain with room for growth should i be able to construct to its original maximum size? If yes, what if i take a city that's maxed out, say a 90k, wreck some buildings, should i then be able to rebuild? Bear in mind opponents of identical races, the city was not taken by any other races during gameplay.
As far as I know, that is how its supposed to work. Dwarf takes dwarf, retains the dwarf ability to build or reconstruct into terrain.
It was a 90Ker when I dropped it as an elf, but it was taken over by a troll. Backed up to a forest he was constrained to 6400 buildings, so he couldn't build it out. When the city revolted back to me, it didn't revert to a 90Ker - I picked up the troll's constraint, too. Apparently, so did you. So, if you want to redecorate, you'll have to raze it down below 6400 buildings. Maybe even 400 given the city's position.
you have to completely wreck it if a different race owns the city at any point the bonus in that city is permanently lost
Bah, that's lame and it sounds like a bug to me! ;-) Thanks for the clarification though Waldo :-)
