11:42:34 Feb 27th 10 - Lord Reddragon Reborn: yep im watching the news, in some places says 8.8 and others 8.3. Im some cities of my country the feeled the quake too, we are very close to chile. Luckyly where i live the only danger is the sea or the rains.

13:52:45 Feb 27th 10 - The Architect: True, but it's always safer to assume that there is one and prepare for it than to assume it doesn't exist and get swept out to sea because of it, in my mind anyways. That and the reports said a Tsunami watch was in effect for certain areas.

21:31:03 Feb 27th 10 - Mr. Arthur Dent: Tsunami will hit Hawaii in exactly 35 minutes from this post. I don't know about any other islands, I expect the Galapogos islands to be pretty devestated. There are Tsunami warnings all across the pacific rim, but I doubt there will be a big wave for Western U.S. and Canada, doubt anything for the rest of the rim. Idk about Australia though, probably a big one. I think Hawaii will be hit hard though.
22:08:01 Feb 27th 10 - Mr. Poseidon God of Sea: Just a comparison for you guys, magnitude is figured in antilogarithms, so a 7.0 in Haiti is about 100million if you figured it. While the 8.8 in Chili is about 631million if you figured it, so the 8.8 is over 6 time STRONGER then the one in Haiti
