PS4 and Xbox One are the confirmed next-gen consoles, the Xbox One priced at 500$ and the PS4 priced at 400$.

Xbox One, will need you to connect once every 24 hrs to play either online or offline games, if if doesn't connect you can still watch movies and watch your TV.

its a bit more complicated than that when it comes to the xbox one. Seems to me they are intent on self-inflicting wounds...

Pretty much every poll I've seen has people voting 85-90% in favour of PS4 over Xbox. And I've seen about 7-8 polls.


The only reason you would buy a Xbox over the PS4 now is if you're a fanboy or your parents buy it for you. There's no other valid reason for buying it. PS4 costs much less, has better graphics, more exclusives, doesn't require you to login every 24 hours to play online, doesn't require kinect [which can spy on you], allows you to share/sell games as you wish.

Basically, Xbox have fucked up big time and fucked over their consumers. I'm switching from Xbox to PS4 for the next gen.

Also with Xbox One's used game issue. I just want to clarify. The used game industry is huge and Microsoft didn't have any rights to it at all. You bought the game and once it was bought that's all the money they made. Once you sold it to a GameStop they determine a price worthy of re-selling it for and what you should get back. Again MS has no say and no profit. MS saw how much they were losing on the used game market and said we want it basically and whats gonna happen is once you buy a NEW Xbox one game it will have a serial number embedded on it, so once you put it in your new Xbox it will burn onto your hard drive. Meaning you won't be able to let your friends borrow your game yes and its part of why you must stay online as well. Anyways whenever you decide "Hey i don't want this game" and you take it to that GameStop. GameStop no longer has a say on what that game is gonna be resold for. MS came out saying all used games will be sold at 90% of original value and once you trade your game in. That game will go through a new software MS will be putting on all Trade in businesses to where once you trade in your game (and due to you always having to be connected) MS goes on to your account and wipes the serial number off. Therefore ceasing you being able to play that game again.

Yes it sucks which is why I am personally going back to Sony, but at the same time look at it from a business stand point and it was a good move because they were losing a lot of potential money, so at the end of the day Trade in businesses are the ones getting hit.

and in all honesty, after watching this years E3, seems Sony has a lot more exciting games, at least for meh:P

Id say that doesnt justify their decision to try and steal the used games market. Theyre going to lose out on a lot of loyal customers, which is alot more valuable imo. i bet it proves to be poor business in the long run

when you've played in a war zone consisting of hundreds of players supported by air and vehicles, in a 3 way battle 64 players sounds boring

Halo, Dead Rising, Forza, Minecraft, Project Spark, TitanFall

Killzone is shit. I played killzone 2, and got sooo bored out of me mind(same with halo, but I do admit that halo is better). Then again, I don't really enjoy generic fps games.

I read that stores like GameStop and such will need to register with Microsoft as authorized re-sellers or something like that, I didn't look much into it.

Lol, they didn't have a change of heart. They knew that the xbox one might flop, and so they reversed their drm policy, so that they don't lose out on a lot of money. They made it clear that they don't care about the customers when they announced all that BS.

I thought of an incredible way to avoid having to choose between/complain about the PS4 and the XboxOne. :D

An Xbox is more likely to be used for actual gaming rather than a playstation which after a while just sits there and looks pretty. That's just my opinion though.

Well Microsoft did listen to people's feedback and took off their restrictions, PS4 has it's restrictions too like with their online access you get less features than as if you would for Xbox plus you got to pay for PS+ now.

How about we all come to a truce between Sony and Microsoft, instead we should ask ourselves the true question.

Microsoft and Sony should really look into having cross-console online multiplayer like for a game that's on both systems, be able to play against one another like all PS4 players on one team against all Xbox One players on another. I think that would be a cool idea.
