The radio said Peres and other cabinet ministers warned Sharon against saying what he said in public because "it would cause us a public relations disaster." ___________________________________________________ For a leader of a country (now former leader) to say that about there best allies is really amazing. I wonder why it wasent reported on more heavily cause I dident hear anything on this when the comment was first made. So you have to wonder, because this came from a leader of a state directed at there best allies, you cant help but wondering if theres any truth to it.

17:44:59 Sep 10th 08 - Mr. Josef Fritzl: PS: Considering oil demand fell hard the second half of this year it's quite clear we're not at peak oil at all. Just yesterday OPEC decided to cut supply by 500k so as to keep the price over 100 dollars and even if the cut there is still excess oil on the market. I'm not going to lose any sleep tonight because oil apocalypse will start tomorrow just like I didn't lose any over the powering up of the LHC today.
17:49:20 Sep 10th 08 - Mr. Roheran: fell hard? it fell by around $40 dollors a barrel and considering it rose by around $80's that isn't a hard fall. many of the major reserves are over estimated by a significant portion and many contries have passed peak all. UK passed it a few years ago and are using up the rest at an unhealthy rate. this is duplicated across most of the developed countries that have reserves.
19:12:04 Sep 10th 08 - Mr. Josef Fritzl: You're confusing falling oil prices with falling oil demand, something quite strange for somebody that says he's working in the field. All the studies I've seen indicate that we have another oil reserve right now to last until around 2050, and that's without the probable oil fields at the north pole, which with the melting ice from global warming it will be quite possible to get. So like I said, I'm not losing sleep over it anytime soon.
19:35:27 Sep 10th 08 - Mr. Roheran: the cost derision of oil is intrinsically linked with supply and demand as well as speculative sentiment.. you seem bright enough to understand that... i wasn't predicting this would occur next year as that is ludicrous. 2050-80 is when oil prices are predicted to reach astronomical levels that will drive a global recession. the oil source in the pole isn't your normal oil that is found in subterrean voids, it is believed to be terraferma soaked with oil (as found in parts of america) and the energy required to extract in most cases is higher than the energy derived from the fuel itself. fair point though
