I have to agree with Kai. That post made no sense... we were just making a suggestion to that person, not trying to be mean.

I don't think anyone was banned...it was just a warning that any further posting of "Stop posting suggestions" would lead to bans.  Posting "Stop posting suggestions" is not adding content to the topic anyways...thus is pointless.  Jeez...are people blind?

Ah...you were banned from only the suggestions forum...well, nothing I can do about that then.  Common sense ftw, eh? Back to my vacation I guess :)

When a new player comes in, gets magic cast on him ONCE and waa's saying that its overpowered... when almost everyone knows that magic is EXTREMELY underpowered i'm pretty sure that we're allowed to tell him to stop posting.

Simply put, you could explain why the suggestion is bad instead of dropping to middleschool tactics.  i have watched silently for a long time.  looks like a wake-up call to me.  the suggestions forum was full of people basically just saying 'stop posting' or 'this idea is so stupid!" instead of saying "your suggestion is bad because of *insert non-whiny explanation*"  sure it takes more effort and more sobriety, but you dont seem like an immature asshole.

To be honest Zeta, the criticism wasn't pointless, nor did it not in any way contribute to the topic. If Mr. Meat Banger would have just thought about the entire situation that made him eventually make his posts for just five short minutes, he himself would have figured out why the suggestion was bad. I think you're pretty much overreacting on this one.

When the common reply to a "bad" suggestion on this forum is "Don't post again" or "You are a moron" then that player is less likely to post again or they think that the players on the forum are a-holes and might just go elsewhere for a forum that has better control of the players or where they can post and get intelligent replies.  If people complain that the game mechanics are scaring players away, maybe they should look at the players who are "apparently" not giving pointless criticism for the reasons.  If I actually gave a damn what people thought, I would have left long ago due to the number of a-holes who post on suggestions and topics.  Mechanics, updates, and w/e may not even be the main reason for people leaving.  I wouldn't be surprised at all.  I very rarely make suggestions on this forum due to the people here...unless it is about RPing and I can easily hold my own against any arguments.

The suggestion was that BT's can be abused, and that magic is too OFFENSIVE. Not his defense, but the other person's OFFENSE. BT's, for one, should definitely be deserved if you buy them. For 1, it keeps the game running, and for 2, it is a fair trade off, especially since they disappear after.. what is it... 24 hours? Magic, after this, has probably been nerfed down to being used for hardly more than EITS and Freeze, on the side of attacking/defending spells. In either case, it's way more defensive than offensive. RoF has been moved up, and I haven't seen many of them cast, which is probably one of the most offensive spells there is. The case being that, you cannot take a city with RoF, you can with ownage, but only for a period of time, not permanently. So get over it and ask around to get to the truth of your problem before you post a bad sug.

So you expect all new players to read the out of date guides, or ask the ever-friendly players on VU for help...HAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!

Sorry, last time I checked, this game was not newb friendly.  There are probably 5-10 people out of several hundred who might go out of their way to help the new players...there are a few more who might help if asked.  Not sure how that justifies you posting like an a-hole in the suggestions forum.

Tbh, they're much more likely to receive positive, constructive, even helpful posts if they post asking a question about an aspect of the game in q&a before they make a completely illogical, and, imho, retarded suggestion.

Telling a new player just shut up and stop posting is not the right way to encourage new players to stay and learn how to play the game. There are much nicer ways, you could have told them to ask on the help chat before making posts, or to read other threads first.

Maybe I should kick out all morons then, to make the game a better place.
