Let's call you person A and your kingdomate that is going to get your city person B, the outside person can be person C simple steps as follow A remove defence from target city C takes over target city with an army B now takes target city from C with an army of his own B is now in possesion of the city A had from the beginning. This is called townswapping and is used as a tactic by some people.
