How to prevent revolt | ||||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
A city keeps revolting on me, and I have no way to stop it from revolting. I have seen on forums people say plunder, the peasants go that way, I tried that 3 times, it keeps revolting, look at this:
So in a town that has 71k peasants I took 11 as peasants, so once I take it it will be 2% morale city with 71k peasants that will instantly revolt. I am only using a small army of Nazguls to take it, every tick its 100%, but it will look suspicious and it might seem like I am going for the fearsome scores, which I am not. I do not have the resources to train 71k hammers, gaia would not work because peasants would stay there. And I do not really want to waste that much resources to save up to train hammers... And I do not want to burn and destroy as its a nice town. Ideas how to stop it from revolting? | ||||||||
Transfer all pezzies from city into a scout?? | ||||||||
Keep your army stationed in the city until the moral goes up | ||||||||
Burn the city to the ground? | ||||||||
You guys are vets you should know these things. JLT its not possible to transfer slaves if morale is low Endless 71k peasants will revolt if 1k Naz are in city. I am not sure what is the ratio probably 1 to 25. Means 1k Naz will prevent 25k pez to revolt, 75k will revolt each tick. JLT he did say he does not want to burn the city cause its nice. He asked me and I told him its not possible to stop revolting, he would need to send another army there or train alnost all peasants, thats only way | ||||||||
or you can kill all the pes as quickly as possible. you could split a really small part of your army out so that it's around 70% as strong as the defense of the town. And then make a fail hit at low %. It will likely slaughter your army but will kill a lot of the town's peasants. | ||||||||
The guy quit and now even native people are revolting :-( | ||||||||
I usually cast Happiness to it until it reach 100%. Done that this previous era in the ROC core. But a bit expensive for MUs, so I create armies to divide MUs by at least 5k each. | ||||||||
Preventing a revolt: | ||||||||
1. Too expensive, deep in enemy territory, range makes it hard to do... 2. 71k troops, way too expensive to train 71k hammers that I do not need 3. Maintaining my current army on the city does not help, as stated before it revolts cause 1k Naz can not control it. 4. Morale is 2%, for it to get over 50% or what ever is needed to be able to transfer peasants, I would need to wait 2 days, but since the city revolts in 1 hour, that can't happen. 5. Destroying homes does nothing cause peasants still revolt, they just die after a while, and then I have to rebuild the homes cause as I stated I want to keep the city. In the end the way I fixed this was to simply train all peasants into Shamans Cause there was no other way... | ||||||||
"In the end the way I fixed this was to simply train all peasants into Shamans Cause there was no other way... " - That is still "#2", Magic units are still considered "troops". So problem is fixed | ||||||||
The problem was solved only because I had to retake the city seven more times, so on each take over there were little bit less peasants, so instead of having to train 70k peasants, it ended up being 20k peasants when I trained them. Still its not a good solution if you have to wait a whole day for peasants to die to actually keep the city. | ||||||||
There is no "good solution" if you aren't capable of doing it. Otherwise if you were an orc, you could have just B&D (but then you get no city and no more revolts) :P | ||||||||

The fact that training pes is even an option is silly. They're ready to revolt. Why would they all line up to join your army? | ||||||||
Lets take a look at it from an objective point of view. | ||||||||
This question should be: is there a cheap way of preventing revolt if you are not able to cast happiness?
3. Non orc race -> train all the remaining pez into level 1 troops. Orc -> train the max # of gaia on the training screen. *note, refresh your browser after wrecking houses and go to training screen to find the 'max #' ex. We can currently train max 2478 troops (or 2498 Gaia) in this city. 4. For all races: After training, wreck 1 more house so that no more pez come. ex. We can currently train max 0 troops (or 0 Gaia) in this city. 5. The very next tick your cities morale resets to 90% - 95%. Then it's okay to move your army away. And I have done this in the last 2 weeks, it works. So anyway, there you go.This only takes 1 tick and some gold to prevent revolt. ------- the end there is a cheaper way to reset morale without taverns or wrecking any houses, but it's to risky and useful to mention here. you will figure it out if you try the above late era. | ||||||||
Water Bender, as soon as all peasants are trained, city can not revolt any more. No need for taverns or any formulas | ||||||||
-Build taverns. Invest on the city if you really want it. | ||||||||
@ Aisha | ||||||||
New peasants will not revolt, they are loyal to you | ||||||||
