does any one have these still and that being said what all does a MaP entail and does any one have MaP terms that i can see
MaP pretty much means that if you get attacked, your MaP partner will attack the people who attacked you. depending on the MaP it could also mean that if you attack someone, your MaP partner will also attack that person though i wouldn't recomend that. last time i have seen an official MaP was when Predetors' MaP partener was attacked by a KD that Preds had a NAP with..... didn't end well
I've heard of Mutual Protection Pacts and Mutual Defense Pacts, but not sure about MAP's.... also, not sure how much use they'd do in closed worlds.... in one open world, though, would be cool.... that being said, no, I don't :D just changed around the NAP term one....
i remember that skinny a good buddy of mine named rix left cause of that and will it's a mutual assistance pact i've heard it called a few different things in the time i've been playing
A MAP simply entails that you will Be aggressive to every kingdom that your MAP partner is aggressive too. When done properly it means the leadership will have to agree on when to attack another kingdom , and when done properly it would also mean that other kingdoms that your NAP'd.
NAP - No Aggresion Pact | ||||
yeah , the term was called other things in different games , and their is no standard wording but it means the same thing. Mutual agression pact , Military assistance pact and others
there's this: 18:34:48 Jul 18th 08 - Dark Lord Osiris: Naps Maps and other relations. Visual Utopia is a game that revolves around diplomacy. Be it with single players or kingdom to kingdom relations. To become a successful kingdom you generally need relations with other kingdoms, there are many different kinds and some will be listed below. The first and most common is the NAP. NAP stands for Non aggression pact or Non attack pact. Generally a pact of this kind means you do not attack each other, cast spells on each other or actively work to hurt the other kingdom. Most kingdoms agree on a set of terms when signing a nap. An example of classic types of terms are shown below.
MAP/Alliance is also a common type of relation, MAP stands for Mutual assistance pact or Mutual attack pact, this is also known as an alliance. Alliances form much closer ties and bonds between kingdoms. When allied to a kingdom you will work together to defeat the same enemies and generally help each other out. Cease Fire is a used when at war with another kingdom. You cease all attacks for a set number of ticks (agreed upon by the leaders) this is often a precursor to signing a nap. WAR. War is a pretty self explanatory relation J These are the Diplomatic relations used in Visual Utopia but remember they are not official or under the Admins control and as such can be broken at any time by some players. A good idea is to build up friendly relations and trust with a kingdom before entering into a NAP. I will include a player example of NAP terms below to give you an idea on what’s involved.

asnd this from 2010 ( Apr 18th 10 - Sir Deldrath of Hannador:) Before I say anything further, I would like to say that when dealing with other kingdoms, it is key to treat them respectfully and truthfully (unless you want to get into Vile Diplomacy, which I will not teach or speak of further here... view the tutorial on it). The key to any good diplomatic agreement is mutual faith in the others' ability to fulfill their half. In Diplomacy there are a few main agreements you will come upon (from 'highest' to 'lowest'): MPP (Mutual Protection Pact, also called an Alliance, a Mutual Assistance Pact (MAP), or a Defense Treaty)- A treaty that establishes that the two member Kingdoms are to NEVER attack each other (unless the pact is broken), and are to work alongside each other to achieve their goals. This Pact can be established for a time-frame (e.g. Whole Era, 1 week minimum, etc.) and a end-term agreement (e.g. when pact is ended, a 72-hour Cease-Fire is in state). Required in this pact is:
CF (Cease-Fire, also known as a Temporary Peace Treaty)- A short term (1 tick to a week) treaty that temporarily stops two sides from a conflict. Usually put in place to give time for negotiations during a war or time for the sides to regroup and meet for discussion. Cease Fires cannot be overruled by anything, only by the decided end-time. Neutral (Also known as No Agreements or No Relations)- A state in which two sides do not have any agreements and are, by default, at a state of peace. There are no official 'Neutral' agreement treaties- just a basic agreement not to fight. Hostile (also known as Dangerous)- A state in which two neutral sides are visibly preparing to declare war or fight each other, but no war declaration has been given. War (no other known terms)- A state in which two or more sides are openly attacking each other. May be created by a Declaration of War and may be removed by a Cease Fire.
