Casting Anger from ********** upon Noonehome with 78% chance of success... and Successful!
If you cast Hapiness a few times, morale will go up above 100% till about 112%(did not see more then that), but the tick after it falls to 100% Used hapiness a lot while i was playing halfer to boost morale on a high experienced adventurer army, i had the feeling more treasures where found that way.
I know about Happiness, its Anger thats confusing me... We checked literally 5 minutes from when I cast so he couldn't have used Happiness :\
@Kobuskan, i casted happiness a tick ago, i went from 97% to 116%, waited a tick, and still have 116%...

I think it is that when the morale drops below a certain point your troops become weaker. Not sure at all though. And out of curiousity, why did you cast Anger on it when your kd mate had 99% chance on it?
Because I wanted him to have 100%?
Fair enough. Seems a bit excessive to me.
Not at all. It means less losses and a slaughter, so no resurrected armies coming back for a second beating.
My two cent's worth is that it appears that morale is more important to the attacker, than the defender. I've noticed a real increase in % before attacking when I went from 97 to 100. But noticed very little change when I dropped my opponent's morale with anger.
not sure but it could be one of two reasons... 2.33 99%
3.0+ 100% | |||||||||
you angered them. what do you expect? Of course they got stronger!
Knish has one very good part of it posted, yet you can also add that lowering the moral of a "defending" army, can also increase the losses to that army, the lower the moral the more losses it will incur.
Ok, that made sense.....
i don't think you dropped his morale to 0. I think there is a cap to which you can drop morale to with magic or it doesn't stack, or it's bugged. lol. I tried the same thing yesterday to a MAD army (about 20 cast each dropping from 10% - 18% morale) and nothing happen :P
did you wait a turn to see if some troops dissapeared?
of course :D two turns in fact. I did 10 spell first turn, wait 1 turn, nothing happen did another 10 spells, wait 1 turn, nothing happen. :P
hmm...then its kinda strange that nothing happened lol
If nothing old have been changed (with or without purpose) only berserks gets a lower OP/DP with the lower morale. It have been so since I started (age 30). But - big BUT - I (think) I have seen the same with mages, when I cast StG. If the morale on my casting city/army is below something close to 100%, I tend to fail more time..... but that's probably only how I feel it. So - I must write, that I do not know if this actual is how the game-engine is working. It's just....... my feeling.
I think the reason that so few people see morale change their % of victory, is that there are very few even matchups in vu, and the majority of players have half mu's in their armies. **No not half orc/hald mu's running around, but I mean half the troops are mu's** And a % drop in mu morale would not change the % to win, for either side. And you can't cast 'Anger' while you are prepping w/o losing prep, so you would probably never see it make a difference. The army would have to be prepping you, and have very little magic, but not something that you could beat..
