Taking 2 Races into consideration, Orcs and Halfers

... do I mess up economies if

i) ... I am an Orc and I take over a resource city amongst resource cities belonging to Halfers from another Kd ?

ii) ... I am an Orc and take over a resource city amongst resource cities belonging to Halfers from my own Kd ?

iii) I am an Orc and build a resource city in the immediate vicinity of resource cities belonging to members of another kd ?

iv) I am an Orc and build a resource city in the immediate vicinity of resource cities belonging to members of my Kd ?

It applies in all those cases except if the other cities are orc, or if they are human and then only you are affected but not the humans.

(humans cause but donīt suffer the penalty)

I have heard from many a player that humans actually do not cause the racial penalties.  Can anyone confirm?

Nope, cannot be confirmed, You got that backwards I think, Humans are not affected by the Racial Penalty but they do affect others

... but I heard that taking over a city anongst others does not affect anyone, it is only when the indiviudal starts developing that the penalty comes into play - now, IF that is the case, what that development is remains an unknown here, one would have to assume it would have to be the same resource being produced in the nearby city that one intends for to be affected - or is it any development whatsoever or a linked development ie houses, linked by the need for peasants !!!!?

.... ahhch, I give, VU Admin, please give us a rundown if you can, I appreciate it goes out the window next era but this era ain't over yet

When it comes to explaining game mechanics in VU I am known to write walls of text so long that they will make your eyes bleed, but the racial penalty is actually pretty complicated and I don't want to take the time to go into explicit detail for the 3 or 4 people who actually care to read what I would type just to explain a game mechanic that won't even exist a month or two from now. 

I will still give you frustratingly short answers to your questions though:

This is not the case.

Point is orca ther is alot of unknowns for most here on the matter and that is why I asked those cities be razed to insure non were effected including allies.

 I have had a different race come take a town near me before and had mines go from making 10 per tick to like 5 per mine = huge effect not worth the risk either way for a 70% razed town with no homes.
 is better to just burn it and leave the area marked halfers for halfers rather then ruining production of other but also urs .

 Chances are ur income may of even falling by taken the town even tho it had 13k mines. the more mines u get the less the make per tick add that with the production being 0% mines would make like 1 gold every 50ticks or some crazy number.
 So u would of taken the mines risking dropping ur other mines production all for a - gain in income and 13k more buildings to pay upkeep on :P

I think it doesn't hurt anything, unless someone starts building up prod structures in a captured town... I've seen some que some, even though they're in an enemies core as a FU. lol :P


Thankfully, racial penalty will be gone next era! ....... hopefully, anyway.
