armoury discount | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|
As stated in the title, I'm having a problem here. I'm a human player. My armoury city has 1000 homes and 5000 armouries, nothing more, nothing less, nothing else. It's obviously in a ratio of 1:5, but I'm not getting ANY discount at all for ANY units, even the lvl 1 troops are still at their normal price of 200gold. Am I doing anything wrong or is this a bug or did they remove the discount feature? o__O | ||||
armourys reduce the time it takes to train. it changed awhile back : /
| ||||
what ninja said, also it doesn't matter the ratio, always aim for around 20000 armories or you're not going to be building at your max potential | ||||
o__o wow, a few subtle changes had been made since the last time I was here then XD where can I view the change logs, if there are any? :D | ||||
maybe ask on skype instead of vu gosh | ||||
Also, notice peoples names. It helps when u read their answers :P | ||||
...douchebag. Lol... | ||||
Wtf with the 20k armories? You only need 7500 to get the max bonus. | ||||
^ this | ||||
17500 you meant annie? idiot was kinda right he rounded it up to 20k in case | ||||
Hmm, strange. Posted here but it seems it got deleted.
I'm pretty sure, the max before was only ever 15k, not 20k. It's now 7.5k for the max though. | ||||
7500 gives you max reduced times.. 20000 speeds up how many troops are at the front of the line in comparison to the back of the line... | ||||
ok, to sumarise it all, to achieve max time discount (how many percent is it?) we need 7.5k armouries for 1k homes? Anything more than that will speed up building time for the initial batch of soldiers right? | ||||
i always thought production decided tha. If its not 100% then troops will fall to the back of the line which is wh its never good to mix them with res bildings. Also the more you train at once the more u get at the front of the line. | ||||
To achieve the max reduced production time it's 7500 armouries which will bring you to 50%. One military level will increase the training time by 1 day and is not affected by armouries (ie. 8 mili = 8 days). For a small city, to my knowledge 1000homes 5000armouries (yes even that 1 GT will put you over the limit) will give the 50% reduced training time. Anything more you need 7500 armouries. In a resource city you need 10000 armouries. When production in a city drops below 100% (even 99%) there is a drastic drop in how many troops are at the front of the line. Having numerous armouries (ie. 20000) will front load the troops in the line (unless you have low production%), but it will still force troops to be trained across however many days it says it will take. I would love to give the proper arithmetic but I don't know the right formulas for anything higher than 7500 armouries. | ||||
As far as I know - just checked my 3 characters and looked upon the armouries I build myself and the armouries conquered - the number is 7.500. Nothing more and nothing less (unless it's a very-very small city under 6K buildings as Poly writes). In productioncities I would never build 10K armouries. Instead I'm building 17-18 K homes (2-3 more than the normal maximum). Then I can keep the production at 100% all the time (at least I can try with a very good chance for success, because that parameter IS important if you want to keep the trainingspeed at maximum) and have space in my city for the first 50-75K troops without paying for the upkeep. | ||||
McMax is correct, building armouries in production cities should only be a LAST RESORT HOLY CRAP I NEED TROOPS FAST thing. Even then, depending on cost and building times you're likely better off just training vast amounts of troops in said cities. The extra homes however could be a good thing. It could give you the extra pez needed so you don't need to burn out working ones. And, as McMax said it will give the space needed for those troops without having to pay upkeep. Obviously situations are always changing and are never the same so just adapt to the battle field, or fall on it. | ||||
thanks for all the replies guys, I see much have changed in the game mechanics and stuff, and personally I think this way is better somehow XD one more question though, where did the bonus points disappear to? Last time I can vote to get at least 2 bonus points, now I cant even get one, let alone the 12 hour bonus point reward thing T__T | ||||
You start with 3 each age, the rest you have to buy. Zeta changed the voting system and it didn't work out so great. | ||||
