Cassius looked around. he glanced back at the rest of the group of horsemen, and continued forward. they were neqaring the goal, the place they had been sent to. it was risky, but necessary. Cassius' country was at war. they were desperately outnumbered, and now he had come seeking allies. but the people he was approaching were not known for theur kindness. their king would, before any demand had been made of him, send any people from a different country on quests for him, saying that he would help them once the quest was done. then another quest. and another. and another. But Cassius was desperate, and so continued. soon they reached the city gates, and entered. once they had a meeting with their king, the barbarian king, they hurried to the meeting place. when they got their the king was already there. Cassius stepped forward, and attempted to start to speak. but the king interrupted. 'now, you are an envoy from the troubled lands that you call home. I have heard how you are at war, and I imagine you want assistance. before assistance comes, you must do something for me. you must go to the east, and rid me and my people of a nuisance colony, all warriors, around one hundred. they have constantly attacked us recently, doing no damage but causing worry among my people. you must go and kill their chief, bring me the necklace he wears around his neck. also bring his sword. that is what I want of you. now go, otr my assistance will never come' Cassius wanted to say sometihng, but held his tongue. he simply nodded, and turned, gesturing to the others to follow him. they set off into the sunset, dark shadows against the horizon
Ok, this roleplay is slightly different to most others in these forums. you play it by becoming one of the group. when you post you post from his/her view, like I did with Cassius their, who will be my character. when we get the quest, It may become quite dificult to choose how the quests go, when approaching the end. for that reson I want no more than five players You can use your ruler name, or a made up one, I dont mind when signing up, please fill this in, so all players know what the other players are like
Mine is:
when choosing weapons, kep them medieval, and not too fancy for that age. you are part of a troubled country, your country cannot afford to make expensive weapons
Enjoy! hope evryone likes this kind of roleplay, a bit different from others I have made [[This is Vengence btw, just restarted and changed my name]]

| ||||
1. Name: Arvious IV 2. Age: 19 3. Personality: Excited fellow with a soul for learning, swordfighting, and adventure. Gets into a lot of mischief. 4. Grew up with the most famous hero in the land as his father. Never saw much of him, but had his father's blood, and always loved a good adventure. Learned how to use a sword, bow, and ride a horse at age 15. Father died after defeating a evil dragon. Mother died of disease. Brother died shortly after defeating the force attacking the town. 5. Moptop black hair, brown eyes, 5'4, very quick and smart, has a leather armor with many pockets, red hankercheif in left pocket, father's magic broadsword in belt strap, wears mother's saphirre pendant, wears brother's leather gloves.
1. Name: Meowman 2. Age: 23 3. Personality: Very Cautious but feircly loyal to his friends 4. Bio: Meowman's hometown lies on the edge of the Kingdom. Or at least, it did. It was burned down and destroyed by barbarians as the first of the many they would destroy in the war some 2 years ago. Determined to be avenged, Meowman and the 2 other survivors of the unexpected pillage of the 300 strong town brought the news to the King and joined his army, swearing not to let the fate of him home be that of his country. 5. Appearence: Long black hair with ever-troubled green-brown eyes. He is clad in no armour, instead using the money on the finest sword which could be bought in the troubled time, and on a worthy steed, made only faster by the lack of armour. The sword he knows as Regarok and the horse as Fasanon. He is 5"6.
Oh, we make a fake name... 1. Name: Gregory Lemaint 2. Age: 19 3. Personality: Excited fellow with a soul for learning, swordfighting, and adventure. Gets into a lot of mischief. 4. Grew up with the most famous hero in the land as his father. Never saw much of him, but had his father's blood, and always loved a good adventure. you dont have to... I would prefer to people with names that arent really proper names, like revenge, to make up ones. Just go on a latin names website if you cant think of one. list of people....
well, thats everyone.
| ||||
[I like the name Wraith XD]
[Oh fine then, picky picky...I would like for you to have a latin name though, or greek. and you can begin now by the way]] Cassius rode at the head of his men. He stepped up the pace to a canter, standing in his stirrups. the mountainous terrrain flashed by them, and birds took flight as they passed. they were off. As might fell, Cassius called his men to a halt. they quickly and effieciently set up camp. Cassius was soon sitting in his tent, plotting a course to the settlement they were to 'visit'. getting annoyed at the mountainous terrain, he called in a guard and said 'Bring me my chief advisor. I need his opinion on a certain matter' the guard saluted smartly, and marched off. Cassius sat back, and waited for the arrival of the chief advisor [[Anyone can be chief advisor, whoever posts first.]]
[Whats wrong with a Celtic name instead? xD Fine I'll be Corbett (It is Latin)] *Corbett is sitting on a stone a little way off from the camp. He is staring up into the stars when he hears footsteps behind him. His hand moves to his dirk but he calms down when he sees it is just a guard.* "Do you need something?" "Sir Alban asked me to send for you." *Corbett nodded and walked to Alban's tent.*
*Gregory was sharpening his father's blade as thick memories of his family drove into his mind* *sighs* "Well, I could be worse." *a dark shadow emerges from behind him. Gregory turns around* "Oh, hello guard." "Cassius needs a word with you and everybody else." "Okay." *follows the guard* "Hey, nice sword! Where did you get it?" *remains silent* "What's the mission going to be?" "How did you know it was a mission!?!" *smiles* "Lucky guess."
*Killer wandered around, surveying the land. He wondered where they were going, and what they would have to do. He glanced back in the direction he came from, wondering whether to leave them and just live in the wild again. He decided against it, as he had given his word, and who knows what would happen...*
Arvious, please use the roleplaying style that me and killer used.
Sorry... | ||||
OK my name can be... Claudius.
[[And, out of interest, why do I want to see both Arvious and wraith? wraith is the advisor as he posted first.]]
| ||||
*Corbett enters Alban's tent and sees him puzzling over a map.* "You needed to see me, Sir?"
Cassius looked up as his advisor, Corbett, entered the room. he was glad to see him, his head was starting to hurt after poring over the map, trying to find the best route.
*Corbett ponders over the map, thinking out every possible route.* 'Passing directly through the marshes would be suicide. We would be bogged down, the journey slow and tedious. Also, the monsters there are fierce and savage. Also, the marshes are too wide to go around but safer, on the whole. The mountain passage is a shorter passage but deadly during the hard winters of these lands.* [What season is it? If it is Summer or Spring I opt for the Mountain Passage. Otherwise, the Passage around the marshes.]
'well then, we have a dilemma. It is early autumn, as you know. now, normally we would go round in this season, but at the moment the weather is good. if it holds then we should go for the mountain pass. The question is, is it too risky? your views?'
*Corbett stares into the sky for a few moments.* 'I say we risk the mountains. The weather should hold for a week or so and we need to hurry..'
'Very well. you may go' As Cassius watched Corbett leave, he thought over the oncversation they had just had. it had been a prductive evening, and now the army could set off in he morning with a clear idea of where they wished to go. satisfied, Cassius dismissed the guards inside the tent, and outside, and sunk into a dreamless sleep.
*Corbett left Alban's tent. He hoped that the weather would hold, at least for 1 week. Being caught up the mountains in this weather would be bad. Pondering over these thoughts, he walked around the camp. Some soldiers were awake but Corbett kept away from them. He preferred the silence of night to their meaningless chatter. A little way off from the soldiers, he slept uneasily.*
[[Ok, from now on, please try to make your posts fifty words plus. I know sometimes there is not much to say, but most of the time it is easy enough to do that. try to do it if you can.]]
[Ok. Sorry] | ||||
[[No need to be, I only just said so. some of my posts are not, it is inevitable that some wont be. if possible do though. sometimes you can only write a little if waiting for anothers response to what you write, os it is ok if you dont, only it is good if you can manage it.]]
Claudius slept fitfully, wondering if the desicion made by his him leader had been a wise one, or even what it was. He hoped so, if he was ever going to have vengence for the destrunction of his village...
Cassius looked around as his men packed up camp. they would soon leave, and continue their journey. the pass through the mountains would be dangerous, but hopefully worthwhile. After packing his things, Cassius mounted his horse, Adriel, and began to ride off. the rest soon followed, and together, they headed into the mountains.
' The mountains,' Claudius thought. 'Are they mad? Don't they realize that a single storm could kill half this army?' He considered escaping, on the assumption that his supririors were phycos, but decided against it: in the short time he had been in the army he had learbed to trust Cassius' judgement.
Cassius looked over at claudius. he seemed to be frowning in concentration. after a moment his face cleared, and he began to follow the rest. Cassius put the moment to the back of his mind,cand concetrated on riding.
*Corbett saw Cladius' indecision on a number of faces. He himself was hoping against hope that he had picked the right choice. He sighed , picked up his gear and started walking with the others. He chose to stay at the end of the army and guard the rear.*
*Killer wondered. They were going through the mountains. A dangerous thing to do. He looked over the rest of them, they didn't seem to worried except for Claudius. They obviously didn't know much lore. He took out a book he had stolen a long time ago, the only he had. It was about creatures and races of the world. He always had an interest in reading. He opened it on a page he knew well, with one of the most terrifying creatures in the book. It was unnamed in almost all languages, and the only name they had in it of the creature was an ancient one, lost to all humans. He tried pronouncing it. "Ak-slorgg-áánach." That was as close as he could get to the phoenetic spelling. It was a huge creature according to the book. 20 foot tall, and troll-like, but much much cleverer. Cleverer than a human, by far. It laid many traps. There was a map, and there was shown only a few across the land, but one or two was where they were going, into the mountains. Killer wondered if they were atill there. Probably not. It said they ate most of their young and didn't live for too long, 20 years or so. Killer wondered how they got all their information. However, even if these creatures weren't in the mountains, others were...*
Revenge used his staff to help him up the mountain, he was next to killer reading over his shoulder
[[Can the minimun amount of words be 35 or 40?]] *Gregory stared at the mountain peak's marvelous shine giving them warmth through the mountains. Gregory then gazes at the clouds and sees one dark one way far ahead. Just one dark cloud. The winds were very weak and the odds of bad weather right now was very small. He pushed the idea from his head, and continued the dangerous trip through the mountains ("Which is probably why I'm with these guys anyway," Gregory thought cheerfully.) The only thing to worry about was monsters, the dangerous monsters on the other side of the mountain, whom his father had fought many off. Gregory's dad's sword shined in the light from the peaks. Gregory kept walking...*
Can you not read? I just said I made it rain.....
[[I reversed time again]]
[[And may I ask how revenge, you made it rain? and how, Arvious, you reversed time? there was no mention of you having powers in your bio's, so you dont have any]]
*Corbett watched calmly while he saw Revenge and Gregory pretending to cast spells. He shook his head slowly and pushed them.* "Continue walking and stop fooling about. We aren't here on a picnic."
[[I'm talking about Arvious IIII, not Gregory lol]]
[[Thanks wraith]] | ||||
