Illium Senate Building

11:16 am
Saturday, 10/9/14

The phone rang. The man flicked it open and put it to his ear. "Johnson, here." Silence. The man on the other side breathed deeply. "There's been a compromise. In 45 minutes, we're adjourning. Steven's will either be going to the hotel or to get lunch somewhere. Either way, put two men on him. And Johnson...get rid of him." "Will do, sir" said Johnson. "I hope i don't have to remind you, but after what happened with Don, i'm not taking any risks. So once you're done, you and your men get your butts out of the country and as far away from me as possible. Understand?" "I got you, sir. Dispose with Johnson and get my butt out of the country. Right."

[Hey guys, let's make a story! basically, there's some big, maybe even huge, government scandal thing and this unnamed politician is trying to cover it up. so you can either be one of the dudes trying to figure what's going on, or you could be like johnson, helping cover it up. or you could be the innocent passerby who somehow gets involved. either way, no godmoding or any stupid stuff, yeah? g'luck]

Outside the Illium Senate Building

12:13pm
Saturday 10/9/14

Johnson sat in the car, rubbing his cheek. He was dressed inconspicuously in street clothes, but under his jacket was a loaded 19 millimiter. He was like most of...the senator's men, trained mercenaries. He'd do two maybe three jobs for one person, then skip town before they could catch him and find a new employer. He liked the work. Got to see lots of different places, and there wasn't too much blood. Usually it was just protecting jobs and--- The black car pulled out of the guarded garage. Checking the license plate, Johnson put his car in gear and eased onto the busy road. Across the street, he made eye contact with his partners Ben and Gil and they pulled in behind him. At the next stoplight, Ben and Gil's car turned onto a sidestreet. Johnson glanced at his GPS and saw the symbol for their car turn onto the parallel street and wait. Multiple times during the drive, the two cars switched, so there would be no suspicion on the senator's part.

A half hour later, the senator's car pulled into the hotel, while Ben and Gil's car passed, only to make a full circle and pull back into the garage. Johnson beat them in and was already waiting outside his car when they pulled up. They hopped out and quickly walked over to where he was standing. They were one level above the target, watching him from the stairs. At a gesture from Johnson, Gil turned and jogged over to the elevator, jumped in, and headed down a level. Meanwhile, Ben casually walked down the stairs. The senator's guards walked in front of him and nodded at Ben as he walked by, keeping him as far away from the senator as possible. As they turned to watch Ben walk away, astounded at his poor clothes at such a fancy hotel, Gil stepped out of the elevator on the other side of the senator and put a hand over his mouth, holding the gun to his head. Before the guards turned around, the two had slipped back into the elevator and were gone. The guards turned around, saw what had happened and immediately turned to the stairs. One ran up, one ran down. As soon as they were sufficiently far enough away, the elevator door opened again and Gil dragged the senator out. As Ben hopped in the car and started it, Gil knocked the senator out and tossed him in the back seat. Meanwhile, the first guard reached the next floor to come face to face with Johnson's silenced 19 mm. There was a soft click and then the guard fell and was dragged under a car by Johnson. As Johnson walked to his car, he heard a yell and a crunch as Ben and Gil's car smashed into the other guard two floors below. Three minutes after they arrived, the two cars exited the garage and drove off in two separate directions. Johnson's to the airport and Ben and Gil's to the bridge.

{btw i will have two characters, but you guys should keep it to one mostly if you join, pm me with questions}

James stared down at the chalk drawing. Leaning down, he looked closer at the blood stain, then turned to the boss. "Can't get too much from this, boss." The boss nodded, then led him to the body bag. Unzipping it, James looked at the body, then rummaged in the dead man's pocket and pulled out an ID card. "Steve Wells. Guard, unmarried, lives alone, bla bla bla." James pulled another piece of paper out of the pocket and examined it. "Looks like he was working for Senator Barnes. Hm. Last seen?" "With his employer and one other guard, leaving the senate house," said the boss. "No sign of the other guard?" asked James. The boss shook his head. Suddenly, two floors above them, a woman screamed. Racing up the stairs, James ran smack into a frightened, hysterical woman. "All i did was move my car! I swear, i didn't do anything!" she cried. Walking around her, James saw the man on the ground in front of her car, just outside the parking spot. "This your other guard?" asked James. His boss nodded, solemnly.

James listened as the captain explained what they thought had happened. "Now, for some reason, somebody wanted Senator Barnes dead. Maybe he knew too much, maybe he'd offended the wrong dude, whatever. So they put a car on him. So this guy's men followed him to the hotel parking garage, where they shot one guard and hid him under the crazy lady's car. Then they ran over the other security guard and took the senator with them, probably to a private airport or to their own hideout." James sighed. "Whatever they did, we have no idea where they are now. The security cameras in the hotel garage were off that day, so they probably have a man inside. So we can't check their license plate or anything. Plus, the hotel staff is so big, there's now way we'd find who their man was. Sorry James, but i think we're gonna have to pause this case for now. Speaking of murders..." he continued to talk about other strange incidents they needed to investigate, while James ignored him and racked his brain for solutions.

Johnson stood in the middle of the airport food court, looking for Ben and Gil. They were supposed to meet him there five minutes ago. Where were they? Then he saw them walking toward him. Pretending not to notice them, he walked toward the bathroom. Luckily for him, it was completely empty. He pulled the silenced gun from his bag.

"Johnson? You in here?" It was Ben's voice. Johnson hid in his stall, waiting. The door closed and Johnson stepped out of his stall to face Ben, hiding his gun behind his back. "Where's Gil?" Ben frowned. "Something wrong?" "I said where's Gil?" Ben raised his eyebrows. "He's out there. What's the prob--" Johnson interrupted him, eager to finish his work. "Sorry, just tying up loose ends. The bullet thudded into the back of Ben's head, as his body crumpled to the ground. Johnson nodded at Gil, as Gil tucked his gun back in his bag. Then Johnson pulled his gun from behind his back and shot Gil in the throat. As Gil fell down, blood flowing from his neck, Johnson bent over him. "Sorry, just tying up loose ends." Tossing the gun in the trash can, Johnson pulled off his gloves and stepped out of the bathroom. My, it felt good to be alive.

A man rushed into the office, interrupting the captain. "Sorry sir, we just got a report of a double murder at the airport. Two men were found dead in the bathroom, one holding a gun. Another gun was found in the trash can. The bullet that killed the man without the gun was identified and did come out of the gun in the other man's hand. They also got fingerprints of that gun and all they found were those of the man holding it. The gun from the trash can had no fingerprints on it, but it was found that the bullet that killed the man holding the gun came from the trash can gun." The captain looked at James. "Wanna head over there?" James nodded. Usually, he would have denied the offer, but he thought there was a small chance it could be connected to the Barnes case.

"Yup, you were right, boy is this a break!" James nodded. The bullets that killed the man holding the gun and the security guard under the car had been identified and had come from the same gun. As James thought everything through, he stepped out of the bathroom to get some air. The food court was still open, as the police had closed off the bathroom as if for cleaning to prevent panic in the airport. However, the police had forced the airport to reluctantly cancel all airlines that night with the excuse that there were numerous strong storms on the horizon. So the food court was still open, but none of it's customers knew anything about what had happened in the bathroom just an hour ago. However, the foodcourt was still relatively empty, as most of the people had gone to find somehwere to stay for the night or argue with the airlines. James stepped up to the cash register and ordered a grande mocha frappuchino. A few minutes later, he was handed the drink and turned to get a spoon for his whipped cream. Standing there, spooning some sugar into his coffee, was a man whose face James recognized instantly. He'd never seen the man in person, but he'd seen his picture multiple times. In his bingo books. James tore the gun out of his holster and aimed it at the man in front of him, dropping his drink. The cashier screamed. James motioned at the man, who put his drink down and turned towards him, an expression of fear and surprise on his face. Stuttering, the man slowly, stealthily moved his hand toward his hip. Seeing this, James roared and instinctively fired. The man choked and fell to the floor as blood gurgled from a wound in his chest. As the rest of the police ran up, James yelled, "he was reaching for his gun!"  A policeman bent down and reached for the injured man's hip. There was nothing there. In the man's pocket was a badge. A police badge. The other policeman groaned and turned towards James. "He was reaching for his ID you idiot!" James stammered for a second. "But-- he's in our bingo books!" The policeman groaned again. "He was going undercover for us! We were told  to disregard his photo! Oi!" James knelt by the man's body, confused and bewildered. Emotions and thoughts pounded through his head as he clawed at his face.

A few tables away, Johnson lowered his newspaper, chuckling quietly. Case closed. folding his newspaper, he grabbed his bag and walked toward the exit.
