Ok, this game will sort of be like Path to Darkness in that it will have questions and answers. However, how you answer will affect the outcome. For example, if I say:
(All of the leaders now have armies.) Rejoicing over his new forces, the supreme leader began planning a parade to show off his military might. While talking over the event with his military, city, and financial advisors; however, a scout rushed in bringing news of an attack. The scout didn't know the size of the army, but did know that they would be attacking the city in two days. Immeadiatly you realize that you can 1. Flee the city and rebuild elsewhere 2. Negotiate with the army and try to reach terms 3. Bribe the commander of the army to leave you alone 4. Man the walls and prepare for defense 5. Attack the army while it is still enroute If simpley say, Emporer X decided to launch an attack on the army before it reached the city! (5) You will most likely lose. I will throw some dice to factor in luck, but chances are highly against you. If; however, you say "Emporer X immeadiately assembled a scout net to better assess the enemies'strength, then assembled his forces and prepared them to march to attack the army enroute, following General U.C. Grant's (who is he? Don't know but he sounds important) advice to 'Always attack'. This way his army would be ready to attack when the scouts came back with their reports." I will reply with more info about your attackers. If they are much smaller than you and you attack, you will most likely win. If they are much bigger than you and you attack, you will most likely lose. If you are about the same size, I will throw dice twice. Once to see if you have the advantage of surprise, and once to see who wins the battle (will be about 50% if you don't have surprise on your side). If however, it is much larger than you, and you choose to do something else, like 1. or 4. you will have a better chance of winning depended on how you implement it. But, if you take too long replying after sending out your scouts, the army will already be upon you and it will be as if you had done number 5 without sending out scouts. Even if they are smaller.
Considering all of this, I would like no more than 3 people to sign up. YOU MUST BE VERY ACTIVE!! This will be a fun game.

I'm also planning on making a game somewhat similar, but very different. Each answer will have it's own questions in the future, there will be five sets of questions. The first will say what your situation is. I have worked out that there will be over 300 questions I will need to come up with, people had BETTER sign up when I start it.

here's a breakdown of the races to make it easier to choose.
Vikings-excel at naval battals and have greater chance of winning them -no pikes -no calvary -excel at raids -has the best skirmishers -+5 days to prepare for any attack on your home town (for example if I say an army will appear in 3 days, vikings will have 8 days) -prays to Odin
Crusader-excells at mounted charges -can build castles -because of location has many close enemies they can attack, yet are more likely to be attacked as well -All units available -very weak navy -army doesn't fight well as a unit (complex strategies are out the window) -can hire hero (adds strength to a battle making you more likely to win) -prays to God
Saracen-excels at fighting as a unit (all strategies are more likely to succeed) -many neighboring cities to trade with -has best archers -all units available -great possiblity of being attacked by crusaders -cannot attack during Ramadan -can hire assassins (can kill enemy figures resulting in various effects ex. general- you are more likely to win battle, king- less likely to be attacked or meet strong resistance if you attack. Each figure has its own difficulty level to kill, for example king is harder to kill than general) -prays to Allah
Samurai-excels at hand-to-hand combat (more likely to win land battles) -very weak navy -little land yet few enemies -can take over whole island (gives them +5 days advance warning before attack) -fearless warriors (immune to surprise attacks, won't flee battle) -legendary swordsmen -all units available -can hire ninja (same as assassin) -prays to ancestors (better luck if prayer heard)

Beside choosing where in the world you are located, you must also decide whether you are 1. On the coast 2. In land and what the terrain is like. For example, are you living in a cave or do you live in a mountainous region, whether your village is located on a river or hill and so on. If you do not want to be specific, that's ok, I'll just give you average terrain. Also, now you must start trying to decide what the different aspects of your choices are. You can write or not write what you think they are, it doesn't matter to me. But if you write something that really is true and I didn't think of it, I'll take it into account. Otherwise I will probably just ignore it and tell you what I decided they are.

Location of New Capital: On the Coast in North Africa, near present day Alexandria Description of City Location: On the coast on top of a very steep hill. Right now the city only occupies a small portion of the hill, but as the city grows it will cover the whole top, therefore making any potential attackers attack uphill. Large siege weopons would be useless due to the steep slope of the hill. There is a river only eight miles away. Climate: The climate in Alexandria is dry. Advantages for Saracens: The horses and people of the Saracens are adjusted to the dry climate. They can go on 5x longer then any foriegn aggressor in a battle. Also the Saracen's bows are made special for the dry climate, they shoot farther and break less often.

Location Description: Built on the european side of the Sea of Marmara, the village is located on a prosperous area, with great potential for trade and commerce. In future plans to expand the settlement to the Asian side of the sea will be put into motion. This small village is set to become the centre of world wealth, and be the envy of all, though this will come at a price...Many will want the settlement for themselves, and therefore the people of this village will need to set about on the destruction of nearby threats as soon as possible. In-land lay great stretches of valleys, with rich soils ready to be planted for crops.
Climate:Pretty warm but keeps cool with the refreshing coastline breeze. Rains all year round, and therefore water never seems to be in short supply.

@ Blast of Darkness: The Byzantines should really have different attributes than the Saracens, but that's fine. As soon as the rest of the people locate their towns (or before then if they take too long) I'll post about your cities and what happens next.

Ok, as the saying is, time nor tide wait for any man. We continue.
Mr. Adrastos (I don't know what you want your leader called): Because your village lies on the coast, it will be extremely prone to crusader attacks as they march to take the Holy Lands. However; due to the extreme heat, dryness, and lack of water, any attackers will move over long distances slower than your men (Self explanatory), and will not have as much endurance meaning your men can fight longer. (In battles envolving many men you are more likely to win, in small battles you don't have an advantage or disadvantage)(Oh, and all bows work well in dry climates btw). Because of the steepness of the hill direct assault will be difficult and attack by catapults or simil*beep*ige weapons is impossible. Once your city is large enough to have walls and towers and stuff, the only way to attack it is by cutting off supplies while laying seige, (the river is 8 miles away after all, and the climate is dry so this would be effective) and by firing at the city with trebuchets. Good post, your village needs a name though. :)
Mr. Blast of Darkness (once again, I don't know what you want your leader to be called): Your city lies right in the path of Crusaders wanting to travel by land. Expect assaults often and soon. To the north and west are enemy villages while to the east and south are friendly brother villages with which you can trade. Knowing that the crusaders will have to go through that area, these villages may send troops to help. This is a mountainous region making surprise attacks more deadly, and the village more defensable (if defended properly), there are also many fertile valleys. Due to the fact that good land is found in small patches here and there though, it will be difficult to protect crops in cases of prolonged warfare. The climate is hot and dry in the summer with mild, wet winters. Because of the high altitude and thin air, on the mountains your troops will have an advantage over flatland troops, while on the lower elevations you will have no advantage/disadvantage.
The long days of migrating now over, you are now ready to begin building your village. The people will set up their own homes, and places of work, yet as leader you must decide what the village as a whole should begin working on. 1. Begin building up the military and constructing defenses 2. Let the villagers focus on improving their lives for a while 3. (Saracens only) Begin sending emissaries to neighboring villages to initiate trade 4. (Vikings only) Begin exploring and fishing 5. (Crusaders and Samurai only) Begin sending out scouts to other villages to asses strenghts/ weaknesses Here are the choices! Some will lead to the continued prosperity of your nation, while others will no doubt set it on the path to ruin! CHOOSE WISELY LEADERS!

The City's Name: Alvarez Name of Leader: Adrastos
Note: You have to remember the underground rivers Anubis. If there's a big river only 8 miles away it must have underground tributaries moving by, possibly making an aquafer, therefore a well would serve nicely in a Siege of the city. Also why would we settle somewhere that is very easily defended, but could be taken over by a simple thing like a siege.
Once the people of Alvarez settled down they came to Adrastos wondering what they should do next. They already started building sturdy homes from the clay found by the river, have planted their plants that are watered by wells all over town, and have started making preperations for defending themselves against the tribal leaders that are near.
Adrastos himself has been thinking about this a little every day when ever he had spare time and already made up his mind, I have decided upon our next course, I will call who I need, and the rest shall go back to working in the village.
Adrastos called out twenty-five of his best men who were clever with words, strong with the bow, and invincible with the sword (that curved sword they carry around) to impress all of the villages nearby and get them to join Adrastos to become an empire. He also sent a brief letter. Dear Emir [insert name here], (Their King is an Emir right?) We have settled here in hopes of finding peace and happiness. The only way my village, and anyone elses, can achive this is if we bond together in trade and alliance. We would fight foreigners, trade, and together prosper. I have sent out my best man to talk with you, I hope we can reach an agreement. May the stars always be bright for you during the night and your armies be stronger then the desert. Signed, Emir (King) Adrastos

[[I'll be telling you the results after the others send theirs in. About what you said, you could build tanks under the city for water and many cities did, but wells on a hill aren't too practical. And seiging a city isn't easy. :) A seige could last months, sometimes years if the city was very strong. In the meantime an ally army could come lift the seige or the seiging army could start starving and would be forced to lift the seige. So it really isn't simple. :) You can read my post 'Detailed Fights' here in this forum to find out how an expensive, effective, and lucky seige would work. Oh, and those swords are called scimitars. :) And an emir isn't really a king, but for the leaders you will be talking to it is appropriate. An emir is a high ranking title of nobility and actually means 'commander' or 'prince'. A king would be more equal to Caliph.]]

I will go by Emir, everyone knows that I am a Caplih, but it Emir makes it sound more human and kind........so the people will love me and fight that much harder because I'm a good ruler and they want to keep me around for a long time.

King Rich the Corrupt was sitting in his small, but respected place of residence when he heard a knock at the door, "Come in" he groaned. In walked his loyal advisor, who had spent the day coming up with a list of options for which the king to choose from.
The advisor stopped and then informed the king"Sire, I have the scroll. You will find enclosed the list of what I deem the most important of descisions."the advisor then handed over the scroll. Rich looked over it carefully, working out what would probly be the most profitable outcome. He promptly sent out a couple of envoys to the villages to the south and east, with the invitation of trade, with high hopes of a bright future that will go beyond just commerce, and perhaps creating a form of alliance. But for now, trade was his goal. Afterall, if this village was truly going to become the centre of wealth, it had to start somewhere...

Ok, we move on.

Since Emir Adrastos called out twenty-five of his best men, and his village is still small, for the months they are gone (I will say when they get back) production will be just a little below average (I'm not going to keep stats saying exactly how many people you have and how much gold, wood, ect. just try to keep it reasonable. If you try for example to fund a thousand or even 500 man army right now, you won't be able to, and some negative things will happen, for example all those men raid your town since you couldn't pay them.). Since the villages surrounding him are friendly; however, most of them will respond well and trade will increase drastically (with that comes of course wealth and some crime) this won't happen till the men return however. Good choice. In the long run this move will be very beneficial.
Because King Rich the Corrupt only sent a couple of envoys, and he could only send them to friendly southern and eastern villages, his production remains average (I'm not going to keep stats saying exactly how many people you have and how much gold, wood, ect. just try to keep it reasonable. Since their are fewer villages around him though, his trade will be somewhat less then Emir Adrastos' (I will say when they return, and that is when you get trade benefits also). His men are even more likely though to receive favourable responses, because the villages they went to know that Golden Waters must be strong enough to repel any crusader attacks. * (special/random event) King Rich the Corrupt's squire came running in with a special report mere moments after the King had sent off the envoys. "My leige! Your shepherds in the northern valley ran into some shepherds from a barbarian village. They began squabbling over the land, and a fight broke out! Our shepherds were outnumbered, yet they beat the barbarians and killed two of them. We now have fifty more sheep and twenty goats!"
Great! Now your village is up and running, and has some main objectives! Your villages quickly fall into the day-to-day routine of working, yet you find that many of them are now becoming depressed, over-stressed, and restless. You know that this will lead to problems later, so you sit down with your advisors, and this is what they propose: 1. Declare one day of the week to be a no-work day. (You are the leader, you can of course add to or take from that to a certain degree, for example you could say that instead of working everyone must count how many pimples miss X has) 2. Declare tomorrow to be a holiday. 3. Hire some nearby villagers to help with the work 4. Buy some slaves to help with the work 5. Ambush a trade caravan and force them to become slaves 6. Make a royal decree that anytime a villager sees another villager they must smile 7. Pay Gypsies to put on a "performance"
King Rich the Corrupt in response to the special event must also decide whether to... 1. Leave things as they are 2. Send the animals back with his most humble apologies 3. Attack the village that the shepherds were from 4. Prepare his village for attack by that village

As the days went on Adrastos saw his people getting more upset and miserable everyday. He thought it would pass because there has been some crummy weather recently, but three days later he knew that something was wrong. He called a meeting with seven advisors, all of them had a different idea that they put forth. The first Advisor, named Tray, said "Emir, there are Gypsies in a nearby village, we could pay them to entertain our people" and Adrastos replied......"I'm sorry Tray, but right now we just don't have the money. Our production is down and my men haven't returned yet."
The second Advisor, named Erial, said "I've read that whenever people see a smile they become happier, so I suggest that we ake a royal decree that anytime a villager sees another villager they must smile" and Adrastos replied....."Erial it is not a good idea to force people to be "happy"" and that idea went down the drain.
The third Advisor, named Takil, said "since our workload is so great we should buy some slaves from the village by the great forest" and adrastos replied........"Takil that is an excellent idea, but alas we have no money to buy those slaves." and the Advisor's kept thinking.
The fourth Advisor, named Akzial, said "You're a weakling Emir and a fool as well, just mbush a trade caravan and force them to become our slaves" and Adrastos replied......"Akzial I know that your thinking style is different, and that you don't like me.....that is why you are in my council, but in this case you are the fool. If we ambush them and make them slaves any potential trade will stop coming our way because of fear of becoming slaves as well. Other villages would look down on us as well, so no Akzial, we shall not do that." and Akzial sat down pouting.
The fifth Advisor, named Zark, said "If you don't like slaves why don't you simply ire some nearby villagers to help with the work? and Adrastos replied......"as I said before, Zark, we do not have the money right now, and what would happen once they are gone......our work load will go up again, so no that won't work either." and Zark sat down thinking of a new idea.
The sixth Advisor, named Jade (yes, she's a female!), said "You men are so naive, why don't you just declare tomorrow to be a holiday?" and Adrastos replied......"well we could do that, but what happens after seven weeks go by? People will feel just the same as they feel now, so no that I will not do either".
The seventh Advisor, named Saphir (also a woman=P), said "Well in that case why don't you just eclare one day of the week to be a no-work day?" and Adrastos replied......that is a great idea Saphir, but I have a better one, tell the people to come to the city center at Noon for an announcement" and everyone did as he said.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The next day Adrastos came to the throng of people at Noon in the City Center. "My noble followers. I have seen your weary faces and heard your disgruntled voices. I have decided to make a calander for you. There will be twelve months, and twenty-nine days in each month, but two months will have thirty-one days in them. Each month will have three weeks of seven days and one week of eight, but for those two months that have the two extra days. For those two months there will be three weeks of seven days and one week of ten days and every six months we shall have a three day long celebration of winter and summer. On every regular month we shall have the extra day be a festival and have a feast and be merry on that day. In addition the seventh day of every month, besides the week that we have an eigth day, you shall have off to enjoy, have fun with, and worship our God. *And with that Adrastos walks off, and the next day there is a calander that everyone can read and understand perfectly.*
Here's how it works For Months 1,2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 week 1: 1-7 (#7 off) Week 2: 8-14 (#14 off) Week 3: 15-21 (#21 off) Week 4: 23-29 (Day #28 NOT off, but day #29 is a festival) Same for Month 2, 3, 4, and 5, but months 6.....
Months 6 and 12 Week 1: 1-7 (#7 off) Week 2: 8-14 (#14 off) Week 3: 15-21 (#21 off) Week 4: 22-31 (Day #28 NOT off, day #29 is preperation for big celebration, and days #30-31 are the celebrations)

King Rich walked across his village and checking on his workforce. They all seemed to be sad, and the village was gaining a very gloomy atmosphere indeed...This wasnt a good situation, he needed a happy workforce that would therefore work harder. He gathered his advisors and asked them for their opinions. They came up with all sorts of things, hiring drunken gypsies to entertain the kids, send the peasents on a holiday to mexico, one even suggested one day a week where there'd be no work watsoever!!!! These certainly were not good ideas, but then King Rich came up with a better option. "If we force my subjects to smile on the sight of another subject on penalty of being whipped, then we could make a happier atmosphere...and rid our village of the feeling of sadness." Rich declared. All his advisors immediately stood up in applause, with comments of praise and merit.
6. Make a royal decree that anytime a villager sees another villager they must smile
The doors blasted open and Richs' squire rushed into the room.
"Sire! Our shepherds got into a fight and against all odds managed to win! They captured fifty of the enemies' sheep and twenty of their goats!"the squire informed.
"This is great news indeed, though I am worried about the enemies possible retaliation...Prepare the villages' defences incase of attack, pick out the most able men and provide them with swords and get some of the most able women to wield the bows and arrows. They start training immediately." Rich ordered.
The squire replied, "Of course my liege. Right away."

@ Adrastos: Upon hearing the king's decree, the people gave a great shout. They weren't really sure how it all worked, and it had too much math for their peasant minds, but they understood that on certain days they wouldn't be working, and their Emir had even mentioned a festival! Cheerfully going about their work, time flew and the peasants got even more done than usual. Result-Happiness increase over long term, production slight increase over long term * Special event: While the villagers cheered the Emir's decree, a horseman raced into the village and to the city hall. Leaping from his horse, the messenger ran inside and after bowing to his Emir presented him with a sealed scroll. "Emir Adrastos! This from the village you sent me to only a few days travel from here!" Opening the scroll, Emir Adrastos read the following: Salaam great Emir Adrastos, I must admit that I at first took offense that you neglected to include the proper greetings (Salaam) in you letter; however, I realized that that just proved you to be a direct man and one of action. And such times as these call for such men. My village, like yours, recently migrated here, yet on the way we met many hardships sent by the Almighty to test us. We are now few in number and would humbly request to be taken under the wing of your guidance. Me and my people patiently await your reply. May the greatness of your shadow never diminish, Emir Khalid bin Usuaid bin Harlai
@ Blast of Darkness: Upon hearing the king's decree, the villagers burst into laughter.&nb*beep*erry spirit settled on the town, and since a smile spawns another smile, the people could not help but be happy. After only a few days of this; however, some people began to find it annoying and oppresive. Soon the people began to grumble about such a restrictive law and begin to leave their homes only when absolutely necessary, so as to never run into another villager. And as a result of this, the 'neighborhoodness' feel of the village began to wane. Result: Short term happiness, Short term increase in production, Long term disgruntlement.
*Result of special question: After the barbaric shephards ran home with the news of their loss, the people stood up with a great outcry to attack the Saracen village that had taken their flocks. Men rushed for their axes and bows, while women ran around "trying to help" but generally just adding to the confusion. The mayhem was stopped; however, by the appearence of the elder, a man reputed to be over 170 years old. "Listen to my words of wisdom and give not way to folly!" he cried, "Everyday we hear reports of more and more of our brethern falling to the the blades of the crusaders! This was of course received with much grumbling, yet the villagers could see wisdom in his words, and men were dispatched immeadiately to carry out the plan. You do receive 3 concubines, gold equal to the amount of 15 Byzatine shiekels (enough to buy yourself a really decked out suit of armour and sword, or buy 10 slaves, or buy 40 scimitars), and 10 barrels of fine Kumuss (a slightly alcoholic and sour drink made from milk).
New questions: In the months following, the villages continued to grow, and with some saving, so did the treasury. The messengers that had been sent out also began arriving, most with good news, and a few with bad. Trade picked up and relationshions strengthened as goods were shared between villages (this would of course be just for the Saracens, but since only two people are playing and they are both Saracen I will ignore the other cultures). And finally, the village was blessed enough to have a merchant caravan pass through the village. While the merchants were setting up their stalls and bartering with the villagers, the merchant leader went to show his wares to the leader of the village. You may buy: 1. Pikes (little below average quality) 2. Swords (little below average quality) 3. Shields (Skirmisher type) 4. Bows (shoot farther, straighter than homemade owns) 5. Full armour (spending all of your money on this will only buy enough for 25% of your men) 5. Silk 6. Furs 7. Books 8. Tools for any kind of shop (you only have enough dough for one shop) (This is based on buying stuff for all your men. For example if I say 1. Pikes, that means that I spent all of my money to buy one pike for all of my able-bodied men. [till now they are armed with sickles and staves and the like] I can however say 1. Pikes 50% 2. Swords 50% which means that I spent all of my money to buy enough pikes for half of my men and enough swords for half of my men.) (Adrastos, even though if you accept the villagers, you will have more people, and thus technically more money, you also have more men to buy for so it evens it out)
Questions for special event (Adrastos): 1. Accept the villagers into your village 2. Refuse the Emir's request to join 3. Send your men to attack and enslave the village 4. Inform bandits that that village is weak, and tell them they can raid it easily and pay you 50% for the tip

1. Accept the villagers into your village
*During a dark night four men were guarding the gates, they heard a rumbling sound. At first they thought it was thunder, but soon they realized that it was wheels. They heard the voices of men that did not belong to this land.* "What's that?!" "Oh shut it Ryaan, it's probably just a few workers coming in from a hard day in the fields" "Yea, and my aunts name is Jorge" *and with that Ryaan ran to the Emir's tent. He burst into the tent as if Rome itself was after him* "EMIR! WE'RE GETTING INVADED AT THE EAST GATE!!!" *Adrastos woke up as Ryaan ran into the room, and when he heard the warning he quickly adorned all of his war gear on and his shimitar, none of it was of high quality, but he got what he could* "Go ring the bell Ryaan, and quickly assemble at the East gate!!" *Ryaan quickly ran out of the room shouting that the Crusaders were coming.* *Adrastos sighed and followed Ryaan out of the tent and got unto his horse.....Nightlance. He rode quickly to the East Gate, along thinking how great his village responded to the attack.* *Once he reached the East Gate he saw 135 villagers already there surrounding a caravan. He saw that most of the villagers were armed with sickles and hammers. At that moment he decided to get them proper equipment.* *Adrastos rode up to the men held captive* "What is your business here Crusader?" "We are no crusaders King of this great villager, we are mere merchants selling our goods." *Adrastos quickly realized that this was a false alarm and called out to the people to go home and rest.* *The people quickly dispersed.* *Looking at the leader Adrastos invited the men into his tent, and twenty-five of his guard followed him (Adrastos's guard)* "So where are you from great trader?" "We are from Rome Sire, we have traveled hundereds of miles to trade with the great lords of the Saracens" "How much do your goods cost?" "All of my goods cost about the same." "Well since we only have enough money for one thing, we'll take all of your goods for a Blacksmith" *Adrastos paid the merchants, and the merchants gave Adrastos the Blacksmith tools. The next morning Adrastos gathered fifty men together. He sent forty men to mine and set ten men to train with the master blacksmith.*

NOTE: Since I got blacksmith tools/goods now I will be able to make my own weapons/armor. Since I have weapons/armor now I can also trade with it, and so get more money. Also how many people do I have in my village?

King Rich made his way to the local merchant stores and looked over his choices. He needed a better defence so he bought some bows, now that defence was sorted he turned his attention to the services and shops of the village. He bought some tools for the blacksmith, some tools for the bakery, some for the farmers, and lastly some for the lumberjacks. With the remainder of his money he bought a few books for the villagers to share and study, hoping to increase their interlect of businesses, trade and etc. King Rich walked back to his house awaiting the supplies to be delivered.

Game update: Since I jumped in time from the question about what you were going to do about the citizens unhappiness to the question about the merchant, your villages have grown much. Enough that you can now think of starting a small (note small) army. Anyway, trying to be somewhat realistic I'll say 2500 people for Adrastos, and 2,000 for King Rich. Tell me if ya'll have a problem with that. Also, I'll say that 3/5 of them are women, children, elderly, and sick. So you can use 3/5 of your population in your army (of course if you use all of them, production would be almost nil). Also, half of your population makes an average of 20 dinarii a day. So tomorrow, King Rich's population will have 20,000 dinarii, so if he puts a 50% tax on his people he will have 10,000 dinarii in the treasury. Also, I will update population/treasury/average wages per person every day. Population will change in round figures to keep it easy though.
Next set of questions: Having spent all of the city's money on merchant goods, you realized that you needed a new system is necessary to mantain fiscal responsibility. Again, all the advisors are called and the possiblities come down to: 1. Raise a tax a. 2% b. 5% c. 10% d. 15% e. 20% f. 25% g. 30% h. 40% i. 50% 2. Enslave everyone, allowing you to take all of their goods 3. Set a tariff on imported/exported goods (Set the percent) 4. Kipnap the children and sell them to be slaves then use the money to raise an army and starting ambushing travelers.
(Since you don't have any gold, right now you can't raise an army. That will have to wait till next turn. Also, since these posts are getting long, I will be doing a couple of posts)
