The Ancient City
22:13:35 Jan 13th 09 - Mr. Killer:

A man came from the shadows, unclad but for a few tattered rags. He bent down, picking up a stone from the city that once was. It was battered and scraped, but the man looked at it as one would a gold bar. A myriad such stones lay around him, they lay broken in dry tall grass, the city had long since fallen. Not a thousand scholars would find evidence of who had lived, who had ruled, and who had died here within the markings of that ancient wall. But the man cared not for the troubled past, he saw within these walls glory and fame. He placed the stone on top another, and it wavered a little before steadying itself upon its companion. Yet another stone was placed by its side, and another, and another. The bricks of a forgotten age leapt through the air, landing in their designated places. The man continued with a smile stretched across his face until exhausted.
The man woke in the morning, stood up, and looked at his construction. A wall of his own height faced him, four times as wide and two foot thick. Even with the aid of magic, his progress had been slow. He realised he would haave to seek help from afar, and grudgingly trundled across the plains and out of sight.
A week later his body was found, the corpse atop the giant wall, in sight for many miles for travellers to see. A single spear went through his stomach, the one thing that attached his to the wall. Not a whisper was heard from behind those walls, towering up into the sky, seemingly ripping and renting tears in the darkened clouds above. A single drop of rain fell, landing on the corpse, trickling slowly from his forehead to the bridge of his nose. His face pointed to the sky, twisted with that maniacal grin, and a single scar which ran the length of his face.

[Alright, odd start. I won't start this for a while yet. Anyhow, this is going to be like The Place, mixed in with the School of Magic, hopefully without those tedious statistics. I hope that all you have to take down is gold, occupation and various skills. Basically, all I want for the moment is a few suggestions for magic. Not any particular spells, just categories.]
