Alright, this is only going to be short run-up to my other RP. I want four people to sign up at least, but if more feel like it, that's fine. Basically, you'll be the head of half an army, two defending, two attacking. One attacker at the south side of the city, on defender at south of the city, and the same on the north. There's magic and siege weapons and stuff. The defenders have 100,000 men and 1,000,000 peasants, and the attackers have 500,000 men, and there's more reinforcements coming for both sides(more for the defenders). The city is said to be inpenetrable, which is of course, false, but it's quite near it. I'll describe this more tomorrow, but you can sign-up in the meanwhile if you want(defender or attacker).

I'll be doing all the statistics, at least I think I will be.

Ok, I meant to say it depends on how many players I get for the armies to be split up, but no matter, it'll be even all-round, nearly. Of course, the defenders have to rely much more on their fellow defenders than the attackers, but they have a slight advantage inside the walls.

The city has three walls ringed around the city, 100 metres apart, the third wall being right around the city. They are very solid, and there are four gates, north, south, east and west, on the inner city wall, and only two on the outer city walls(south and north). These gates are fairly small, and made of steel. There is a moat in between the second and third walls, twenty foot deep and filled with water. The walls are all of height 30 foot. It's pretty much a plain flat area.



Attackers have 500,000 troops.
250,000 infantry(Steel platemail, iron bucklers. 50,000 have pikes, 200,000 have iron short swords)
140,000 archers(leather armour. 50,000 have steel crossbows, 50,000 have oaken longbows)
100,000 cavalry(War-horses, kite-shields, iron chainmail, lances, steel great-swords)
10,000 mages(staffs and they are proficient in all magic, I'll explain this later)

They also have 50 catapults with them, which will take three days to set up, and can build a trebuchet(from handily placed surrounding forest) every week or a catapult every four days(this is not seperate per leader). They have 5,000,000 food(sorry, have to use units, there will be different amounts of people. I will try to keep it fairly rounded though) Each troop(and peasant for defenders) eat 1 unit of food a day. Other weapons can be used by the way, if not as complicated as trebuchets or catapults, like assault ladders, but I don't want to count all this stuff so use as much as you want.

(Oh, and by the way, when an infantry or archer dude dies, you can choose which weapon they used)

Magic

Ok, the different types of magic... First a few things though. Magic can't be cast between a group of mages, only one singular mage(which is why they aren't all that good in wars). Magic isn't too powerful, otherwise everything else would be rendered useless. I'll go into greater detail when I get the actual RP up and running.

Necromancy - Allows you to raise dead corpses.
Summoning - Allows you to summon different types of animal.
Illusionary - To do with light, allows you to make illusions.
Healing - Healing...
Barklore - Plant magic, allows you to make them grow quicker and stuff. Shape-shifting - Allows you to shape-shift into different things.


I might, just might, make up more magic(definitely for the actual RP)


Now, I want you to describe your character and all that stuff. Unfortunately, you can only be human in this.
Your character is only one man(or woman), and not invincible, so you can make them fairly powerful, but it won't really matter.

[[Sorry...I think the HUGE influx of RPs in the past month have done exactly what I thought it would to the forums.  Huge number of RPs + limited number of people = inactivity after a short time.  People made RPs and then a lot of them died because new RPs popped up immediately.  I wished there was a way to control them so that the activity would be channeled throughout a longer period of time, but I cannot have that authority...I think the forum is going to hit a recession...]]
