The Stormborn: Evomort Isles | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|
Two years after Septim's ceremony, Septim is allowed peace. He rules his Duchy fairly, and it prospers. Septim's gladius is repaired, and the surviving men of the Stormborn are payed ten thousand coins each, but only twenty survived. After two years Rufus's, Scipio, enters the room, he is roughly thirty five and has a longsword on his belt. Septim knew him since he was a boy. "Scipio, has Rufus too much to do to come here personally", Septim says jokingly. "My father is ill with the Hosoda Virus, he will be will be dead within three months", says Scipio. Septim feels horrible at having joked, "I am sorry Scipio, truely." "It is alright, I have done research, there is a cure...", says Scipio, "But that is just part of what I have come to ask. You've heard of the Evomort Isles?" "I have, it's a myth", says Septim. "No, it isn't. I have discovered their location, on the island grows the cure to the Virus, but there is a reason I was researching the isles in the first place, the Emperor has been kidnapped and taken there by a shadowy group known only as the Shadows. I will pay greatly for my father's cure, and the Empire will pay you greatly upon the Emperor's return." "I will do this for Rufus", says Septim. *** Septim sends out letters to all of his former crew members as well as other experienced seamen and warriors telling them to meet at his castle in the city of Cidel two weeks from then. I'll be the Melee Master. | ||||
i'll navigate the seven sea, or are there nine | ||||
Erunion had returned to this world a few weeks ago and had found himself staying with his old friend Septim. | ||||
Arvious finds himself on a great adventure through the unknown waters, encountering many legends, fighting impossible battles victoriously. After a year, Arvious heads back to his home, when a parcel comes to him. In it says: Arvious, The Stormborn is out for another quest, this time, for a cure for my friend Scipio. We will be traveling to the Evomort Isles, also looking for the Emperor. You are welcome to return again. Duke Bertilius Septim Arvious heads back immediantly. Magic Master - Arvious V | ||||
Ernie The Orange responded to the letter by packing his bags and loading up his armor and planned to return again as the archery master.... | ||||

Ernie approached the castle at Cidel and gazed at its beauty before walking up to its large doors and knocking upon it. It was opened and he was let in. | ||||
*Killer sees a ship in all its splendour, anchored, and bobbing up and down slowly in the shimmering seas. He continues on towards the ship, leaning heavily on his walking stick. He calls out, and asks for a job as a cook. He decides he may as well bet on that, as though he isn't a very good cook, ships were always in need of a cook, and he was hungry and had no money.* | ||||
[ Do not want to *beep* this thread up, but since the Stormborn adventures were started by me, I'll just make a different thread with a single story I wrote of how the hell the longship got Septim as commander and what the hell happened with Ragnarr after the first Stormborn thread, fine? ] | ||||
when do we sail shouts an impatient navigator. DARN i forgot my instruments. oh i found them | ||||
*sigh* *walks over to the starboard side, and sits there* | ||||
Sure | ||||
[[OOC: Ant, please use quotation marks, and we aren't even on the Stormborn yet Arvious, so how are you even on the starboard side? And go ahead Ragnarr, it would be nice to know what happened to your character, though I became Commander because you disappeared and I was second in command in the first thread.]] | ||||
[ It's fine, it's not like I'm angry or want to be commander again - you're obviously doing better and have more free time to do it. ] | ||||
[[OOC: Maybe not better, but I do have more free time, so it makes it seem like I'm doing better. :-P]] | ||||
I want to see Ragnarr make a comeback! | ||||
[[Oh, sorry...]] *walks over to a nearby tavern and sits next to a wall* | ||||
Hmmm, I've never been on a ship before... I'd like to sign on as a crew member if thats alright. | ||||
[[OOC: I have been the only original crewman since Seloc and Ragnarr stopped doing these! 0_o. Erunion joined in the second part of the first thread, the reboot.]] Captain - Bertilius Septim Second in Command - Erunion Telcontar Navigator - Ant Medic - Melee Master - Deathuelf Archery Master - Ernie The Orange Magic Master - Arvious V Quartermaster - Cook - Ballista crew - Crew members - Carnegie Sailmaker - Carpenters - Catapult crew -
The sailors proceed to the great room where many armchairs and couches await them, servants bring them food and water, and one goes up in front of the guests. "My master will be with you in a moment good sirs", he says before walking off. [[OOC: I will start this in around four to five hours...]] | ||||
*Killer, disheartened at not being allowed on the ship, wanders off.* | ||||
*Carnegie looks around the great room. He sits down in the biggest armchair he could find takes out his bone pipe and has a smoke* | ||||

*Killer, joyous at being accepted aboard the ship, goes and checks the supplies, of which there is hardly any. He quickly gets off the ship and gets his fishing-rod, figuring they'll need it.* | ||||
[[OOC: You aren't on the ship yet, you're at my castle about to be told the mission...]]
| ||||
*Killer forgets his premonition, and goes inside the castle to be told about the mission...* | ||||
Ernie falls asleep inside the castle while waiting to be told about the mission [[Is this dead?]] =( | ||||
[[OOC: Of course not, just sleeping...don't poke him...]] Septim walks out amongst his guests, and after a while goes and stands before them. "I am Duke Septim of Cidel, and I am here to invite you on a mission of fame and fortune. We will be travelling, by boat, to the Evomort Isles, where many strange stories are born...we leave in a month, do not be late, that is all..." Septim walks off to his quarters, and after the last guest leaves, Grubbs goes to sleep as well. | ||||
i didn't need to worry about my instruments, plus do you have a map, THAT IS KINDA IMPORTANT.
| ||||
A month later... Septim walks up towards the Stormborn, his grey fur coat covered in bits of snow. Behind him, his crew walks. As they walked, a familiar to some, unfamiliar to others shape appeared, the Stormborn. Septim looks at the beached boat and smiles before walking up the boarding ramp. He walks into his quarters and throws his bag down. | ||||
where is my map and instruments GET THEM NOW, please | ||||
Erunion walks on board, the familiar decks beneath his feet. | ||||
*Killer's walking stick hits the ground at a steady pace. It slows when he sees the Stormborn in all its glory. Killer continues on when he decides that instead of freezing to death it would be better to go aboard. He immediately checks the supplies, of which there is not much. He brings his fishing-rod aboard. He clips Ant over the head as he passes for shouting.* | ||||
walks about finds a map and his instruments then he checks if the course is right but finds that it was stupidly wrong and re-did it. | ||||
*Carnegie, stunned by the shear magnificence of the ship, trips over his shoelace and onto his face. Embarrassed he runs into his room onto the ship and gets to unloading his things* | ||||
Ernie stood at the top of a hill overlooking where the Stormborn lay. The wind blew through his hair and his black cloak and cape moved with the wind. The orange sky overhead had patches of clouds quickly moving by and birds were flying in the air. Ernie was wearing his studded leather archer armor that was covered by strong steel chainmail armor. He also had a large pack on his back filled with all of his supplies and arrow-making materials. He carried his yew longbow over his shoulder and had his sword at his hip, sheathed. He gazed out into the distance as he thought about the adventure that was about to begin. Then he slowly walked up to the ship and up onto the deck. He walked to his room from the previous journey and placed his items onto his bed. | ||||
*Killer, fed up at not setting off for days, goes over to Septim and taps him on the back with his walking stick. "Are we going any time soon?"* | ||||
Ernie wakes up after a few days of sleeping and wonders wtf is going on.....and decides to make arrows XD | ||||
[[OOC: Was waiting for everybody to post >.>]] The Stormborn goes off towards the city of Stoga, the last port before the Evomort Isles. | ||||
[[Those lazy SOBs...I say they walk the plank]] Ernie sat on his traditional spot up near the top of the ship keeping a lookout and carving another bow out of a large hunk of yew wood. | ||||
Ant kept the shi[ on course by constant measuring, locating and use of a compass.
| ||||
Erunion sat in his den, planning... | ||||
*Killer goes around the deck, trying to get food to prepare a meal. All he gets are plenty of brownish apples, salt, ship's biscuit and water. He decides there's only one thing to do, and gets his fishing-rod, and catches a fish using his fishing-rod with impressive patience, throwing the fishing rod into the ocean at one stage, but (un)luckily it got wrapped around his leg(the thread). The fish is very large, enough to feed the crew. It skin is silvery, with a slight tint of purple. He asks the rest of the crew what it is, and they don't have a clue. He decides to cook it on the fire-box, mushying the apples and cover the (salted, skinned)fish in it. He hopes it isn't posionous as he hops it into his mouth. It tastes okish, he decides. He heads to his hammock before the rest of the crew can comment on it.* | ||||
[[Ernie puts explosives under Erunion's bed for being an inactive SOB]] Ernie decides to pass on the fish for just once to see if Killer knows what he is doing. Ernie instead pulls out some cheese and bread from his pack and snacks on them until he decides to go on his guard duty. | ||||
Arvious stands where he fought Kalort 2 years ago. "If Kalort is one of the Shadows, then this is madness! He has followed me over the thirteen seas!" | ||||
The Stormborn approaches Stoga. As it pulls into the harbor, no motion can be seen in the port town. The Stormborn reaches the dock and no dockmaster comes to reach them. Septim steps down the ramp to see the dockmaster's head on a pike. "Draw your swords and bows", whispers Septim to his men. Septim knows of natives, knows of their savage attacks, he also knows that they rarely stay in one place long, and the head looks to be a week old. "Everybody, check the town for food, water, survivors though I doubt there'll be any, but don't take any gold or valuables. The natives use strange magic on their victims, if you take any, the dead owners will come to life. They will not be their former selves, so please don't expect to have a chat with them...", says Septim before walking off into the town. | ||||
*Ernie carries his new short bow for close combat and keeps his sword close as he enters the town looking for really anything that could aid them...and also keeping his eyes open and alert, not wanting to meet the same fate as the people who used to live here* | ||||
Arvious walked around, enchanted sword in his hand, looking for survivors. He found a small sack of grains and salt, and an empty water pouch, but all he heard move were crows flying in the air. He felt like he was being watched, and saw a huge hoard of priceless gems scattered all over one road. Arvious knew that the natives that were here must have scattered them so that some foolish man would pick them all up, and woule follow the trail to them, or get killed by the people. Arvious walked on... | ||||
*Killer took his trusty walking stick and wandered out off the deck. He wandered into the homes of the people, and saw a corpse on the ground. He sees a cat wander in, a black one. Killer bends down to pet it. The cat leaps away, hitting a piece of jewellery from its dresser. The body lifts its head. It comes towards Killer. Killer lifts his walking stick and takes a swing at the corpse. It falls down, it's head seperated from its body by the blow. Killer places the walking stick back on to the ground, and looks closely at the piece of jewellery. It is valuable, he can see, but leave it where it lies, and wanders back to recount his tale.* | ||||
