The place... | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|
Far, far, far o'er the lands of green and rivers of blue, there lay a castle. Up on the top-most level there was a chamber. Killer yawned and woke up, and he was grumpy. "No bloody servants doing anything for me, I have to do everything myself," as the servants had left the previous day. He looked out on to his land. "No-body has come yet!" Killer sighed. He would have to stick up signs. He wandered downstairs, and got some food to eat, and then went out and stuck signposts up saying: Servants wanted. 10 gold a day. Killer contiued on, and he saw that the guards were coming. "Ah, good. At last they have come." Now all I need are people working in this bloody patch of land. When ever are they going to come and make this place a city." Right, what this is: People(you...maybe?..) come inot the city with 10 gold and 100 food. You have to make 1,000,000 gold. You eat 10 food every day(real time), and you die if you don't have enough. You have to make your gold by honest means. Guards send you to prison or kill you if you don't... Rules: You can do illegal stuff as long as you don't get caught, but not these rules. You HAVE to obey them, otherwise you get kicked out. 1. You can't kill me, Killer. I won't actually play, just make sure no-one is cheating. 2. You can't make stuff appear out of nowhere. 3. Ummm... that's it... I think... Oh, wait, you can't just make people die. You have to explain how you kill someone, and give them the chance to retaliate. Laws(these are inforced by guards, you don't have to obey them, but you might get killed by the guards, who are armed, or put in prison.) 1. No stealing. 2. No killing. 3. I'll have to think of more... Right, I'll explain everything tommorrow. You can come in now if you like though... | ||||
*Walks into the city's bank | ||||
Right, you have to make 1 million gold, and you start off with 100 food, and 10 gold. There are various things around the place you notice(if you ever bother coming in, and you must do to read this post, and you will notice, maybe... Then you'll probably leave to never come back :-{ ) , there is signs up to be a servant of Killer, 10 max. You earn 100 gold a day, and 10 food(enough to keep your hunger at bay for each day, but you might find you have a growing appetite...). There is a arena thing, where you can fight for gold against other people. (You can fight against some other guys too, who'll I'll play, weak guy for 10 gold, ok guys for 100 gold, good guys for 1,000 gold, superb guys for 10,000 gold, fantastic guys for 100,000 gold, and an impossible guy to beat for 1,000,000 gold(not quite, but you better be VERY VERY VERY well prepared.) All these guys have magic as well, in increasing order they get better. The first guys are useless, second are bad, third ok, and so on, so forth. When playing against real players you have to bet the same amount of moeny, and the loser dies, which means they can't come back. Other stuff to do: There is a blacksmith to make weapons for you, incredibly powerful mage to sell magic scrolls to you (you can't do magic unless you buy these scrolls), a carpenter to make tools for, a furnace dude to make metal from ore for you, all as long as you pay the right price. For the blacksmith you need metal and gold to get weapons and armour, for the carpenter wood, gold and sometimes metal depeding on what you want, for the mage to get scrolls you need gold, for the furnace dude ore and gold to get metal. Now, you'll be happy to know that you can kill these guys, but make sure no guards are watching, and these guys are good.(recommend not to try to kill mage...) To get ore, there is a mine, you go into it with something to mine and get your ore, but there is a chance of you dieing. To get wood, there is a forest, and you have an axe to cut trees down, but you can... ummm... die from bugs... There is also a medicine guy to give you medicines(and posions, but these are illegal, so be careful.) to heal yourself, and a farm to get food, but there is a farmer to watch this, and he is tough to kill, and he hired a guard... I'll post prices up when the first few people (if they) come in. Rules:
| ||||
*Septim, wearing a patched brown coat, a fake brown beard, and a set of rags, approaches a peasant. "Please sir, spare some coins for an old soldier", says Septim. *The man reaches into his pocket and gives Septim ten coins. Septim pockets them. "Thank you sir, may the Gods bless you" *Septim walks away. | ||||
*Killer appears before the peasant. "Here is your reward for helping that soldier," giving his 100 coins, before appearing before Septim and punching him in the face. "Don't take money from the poor," he says. He then takes away Septims 10 coins, leaving him with what he had. Another Rule:
| ||||
*Septim feels his face "Ouch! Who the hell said I wasn't poor! I only have ten freakin' coins!" *Septim hangs up a Job Wanted poster on every wall in town that doesn't say NO SOLICITING. "There...I didn't break any laws there, now I hope I get a job..." | ||||
No-one said that... read my posts properly in future. Jobs: Servant to the great, wise Killer for 100 gold a day and 10 food(10 jobs); Mage's Apprentice = Get a job selling books, 110 gold a day , but don't try steal anything off this guy...(3 jobs); Farmer's apprentice = Sell food to people, 50 food a day(5 jobs); Blacksmith's apprentice = get a job making weapons, 40 gold a day, but you might get a weapon every so often(2 jobs); Carpenter's apprentice = get a job making tools, you have to sell the tools for this guy, and then give the carpenter half the money, and keep half he money, and you get 10 food a day(4 jobs). That's it currently as working for somebody, but once you have the right tools you can become a miner or lumberer to get ore and wood to sell.(Be careful though doing this, you have to get someone to sell to.) That's it for the moment. | ||||
[OOC: A few questions: If I become a serveant to you, King Killer, could I advance further? Say maybe to Steward or Regent? Mage's apprentice: Could I become a full mage, and maybe an archmage? Seriously, to make the depth of this game deeper, you should put in a career ladder.]] | ||||
*Sighs* If you become a servant to me, no you can't advance further. If you become the mage's apprentice, you could kill him slyly(just don't let the guards see, and you'd probably die) and takes over the scroll shop. And no, you can't advance further :P You can do this in all the shops things, but be careful... Ok, since you want to progress... *Killer looks across the land. He sees a travelling school(Not one of those horrid things that I'm sure at some stage in the past you've gone to, but a good school, that teaches magic, fighting, and making stuff...), coming into the place. He goes down and greets them. It turns out that they are staying there, as long as they pay 100 gold to Killer a day. Killer willingly accepts.* School:
| ||||
Erunion walked into the town... | ||||
*The mage looks at him. "Hmmm... yes, but not too many free scrolls, and I'm afraid I couldn't teach you, not unless you work very hard, and sell enough scrolls so I'd have the time." he says.* | ||||
"Thanks then, I'll take the job. I have one burning question though, Why does Killer always write Italicized? I thought your wisdom was equal to the task of deciphering this incomprehensible trait..." | ||||
[[OOC: Somebody has asked that before, Killer just says he likes to. It makes RPing tough when you want to write thoughts...]] *Septim walks into the school and approaches the front desk. "There must be at least somebody here to teach...I want to teach people the art of combat using swords, maces, bows, crossbows, axes, and many other weapons!" | ||||
Might walks in with a stick and raises it. "This is a stick up! oh wait CRAP I walked into the wrong shop!" | ||||
oh wait... forgot... sorry... Fighting is different to archery and ranged stuff, so that's another thing to teach. Sorry about that Septim, only ranged weapons or mélee ones. *A guard spots Might trying to rob a shop with a stick. He figures he is a lunatic, but he's trying to steal, so he sneaks up behind him, and takes him to prison. Might would be locked in there for 10 days usually, but since he would never have been sucessful, and the guards decide he isn't a threat to anyone, as well as his lunacy, only give him 1 day stuck in prison.* | ||||
*Might walks out of the prison a free man and picks up a stick and walks into the same shop (After making sure there are no guards) saying, "This is a stick up! Everyone gimme your wallets and keys! And you where you live!"* | ||||
"Alright, I will teach melee combat!" | ||||
*Might walks up to Septim after his successful stick up (Gained X Gold pieces?) Can I learn it can you teach me?* | ||||
*The guards have chased Might back to the same shop, and as Might is so stupid, he didn't see them. The guards drag Might back the prison. They ask Killer to build an asylum for lunatics, and for the time being they stick Might in jail for 3 days.* | ||||
*Septim walks over to a group of kids. "Alright, I am here to teach you the basics of combat...teaching the more advanced forms of combat are for the Professors, now, to begin, raise your wooden sword." *The kids all raise their sword, except one in the back who is dancing. "HEY YOU!!! KNOCK IT OFF!" *The kid stops and picks up his sword. "Partner up and fight eachother, I want to see how good each of you are..." *The kids start fighting, and it is going well, until one kid i*beep* too hard and it starts an all out brawl. "HEY!!! NO FIGHTING ANYBODY EXCEPT YOUR PARTNER!!!" *The kids stop and look at Septim. "For Zeta's sake! Alright, you did well until the brawl, let us begin teaching the Colson form..." *Septim teaches the Colson form to the kids all day and goes to the inn, he pays a gold coin for a room for a week and colapses upon the bed.
| ||||
Ah hell... forgot to put places to stay too... A gold coin for a week is a *beep*eap though... The Bottler's Bottle - cheap inn, but very dirty, you have a small chance of getting diseases every night, costs one gold per week. (Hope you're not staying here Septim...) The Drunken Sailor - another cheap inn, but slightly cleaner then the other, but you can still get diseases, 2 gold a week. The Tailor's Taverne - A pretty expensive inn, but is very clean, 1 gold a night. I'll add more when they're built... There is also a medicine man if you happen to fall sick. He might be able to cure you. | ||||
[[OOC: Alright, I am staying at the Drunken Sailor until I get the promotion, then I will stay at the Tailor's Taverne, by the way, add houses to it, maybe: Shack: 100 Gold Or something like that...]] | ||||
Erunion walks into the Tailor's Taverne. | ||||
*Might starts a secret lunatic underground network and successfully infiltrates the guards and brides them to let him free (2 gold) Hes a free man again. he runs to mexico* | ||||
Eh yeah... thanks Septim. They're a *beep*eap though... Shack: 400 Gold One room house: 600 Gold One room house/w Kitchen: 750 Gold Two Room house: 900 Gold Three room house: 1,000 Gold Mansio*beep*r>Small castle: 6,000 Gold Large castle: 10,000 Gold Erunion, you can get scrolls and lessons if you do well enough, but you won't get a raise... He's paying you quite well anyway. | ||||
{That's fine... Now, if I increase his income exponentially? :P} | ||||
You won't... | ||||
*Might comes nack from Mexico with a new identity and looks for a job that deals with fightig and stuff.* | ||||
[[OOC: I am leaving for five days, so I hope to be payed! I have 20 gold from the past two days, and 8 gold from the beginning, so around 28 gold pieces, and 20 food, I hope you're keeping track of this in an excel spreadsheet of some sort...]] *Septim teaches the class for the next five days... | ||||
*Walks into the school | ||||
Ehhh... Right... No I 'm not keeping track of everyone's food and gold, it's too much hard work. I'll stick them in now though. Wizardus: Gold = 10, food = 60 Sorry now, you were here much earlier... Septim: Gold = 28 , food = 80 Erunion: Gold = 340, food = 80 Might: Gold = 3(you got stuck in jail twice...), food = 70 Wizardus, you get the job. Congratulations, you are a sub-professer of archery, 10 gold and 10 food a day. Might, what job, where? You can go to the gladiator thing and earn gold by killing people(or dieing...) or work in the school. However, since you are a crinimal, if you have another crinimal offence, you won't be allowed to work in the school... | ||||
*walks into this strange town, and finds the sketchiest lookins citizen* "hello, i am curious as to where i can find a master thief. i have a few tricks up my sleeve, but wish perfect this art"
*searches for a job as a thief.* | ||||
*walks past soc as he is peering around. Bran bumps into soc and walks away with his wallet* "hehe, he will never find the 'master theif'" | ||||
* A man appears out of nowhere in front of Soccerfreedom. "I believe these 10 coins are yours," he whispers. "Now, if you wish to follow my art at thieving , I suggest you try to notice thieves picking your pocket first. I will teach you the art of thievery, as long as you can steal enough gold to pay me per day, say 50 gold a day. For this, I shall give you leasons. I would also have suggested not to talk to any random citizen, especially as that one happened to be a guard. Don't worry, I have made him forget," he slithers.* Will you accept his offer? Be careful though... | ||||
:P Stole his money back from you Bran, I'm afraid. | ||||
*Might comes out of the weapons shop with disgust saying, "These panzies are teaching, the wimpiest weapons in the world, rapiers! Wheres all the swords and daggers and thiefs!* | ||||
"50 gold a day, u say?" *ponders, weighing the costs.* *after realizing there are only about 5 people in this village, and probably even more guards, soc decides robbing every player once a day isn't worth it.* "sorry, but i think i will learn this art on my own" | ||||
* "All right, I was hoping it wouldn't come to this," the thief slithers. He walks down the alleyway and vanishes. Soccer looks in his pocket. There is no gold there, and only enough food for two days. He appears behind Soccer again. "You can rob the guards as well, you know, but you have to be very careful." He throws a helmet in front of soccer's feet. "I took that off the guard, and he only noticed after I was gone." The thief then disappears, and Soccer looks in his pocket again, and sees enough food for 2 days still. The thief appears in front of Might. "You were saying you wanted to learn thievery?"* Ah yes, there are 100 guards just to let you know... And a few peasants wandering about the place, excluding the players and the "shop-keepers" | ||||
*Of course I want to learn something!* | ||||
You generally use the asterixes to give the idea of an action, but anyway... * "Very well, for learning the art of thieving, it will cost you 50 gold a day," hisses the thief to Might, "and I shall teach you many tricks." * | ||||
"you will teach me to rob the guards? I am in!" *Soc enters a dark alleyway to think of a strategy to start robbing guards* | ||||
How am I supposed to get 50 gold a day when I only have 10 and I don't have a job? | ||||
*Soc sees an older peasant further down the alleyway and decides he would be a good first target. As the man sits down and begins to eat some fruit, Soc glides silently along the wall. The man pays no attention. Soc moves in, and waits behind a barrel for the right moment. As the man finishes his fruit, and heads toward the trash can, Soc sneaks to his bag, reaches in, grabs the first thing he fights, and whisps away. He opens his hand to find............... (Killer, im leaving my earnings up to u, since its ur game :)) | ||||
"Welcome to class... First of all, everyone, hold the bow like this..." | ||||
I'm afraid you can't be a guard.
Wizardus, you can't just expel all those students... The head-professer might get suspicious...
Might, you have 3 gold, not 10...
Soc, you open your hand to find a pouch, and it has some food in it, 20 food. You mightn't want to keep robbing peasants, they're a bit poor. Ummm... do you want to learn the tricks from the thief for 50 gold a day? | ||||
"All right, welcome to your second day of class." | ||||
*The carpenter looks suspiciously at Wizardus. "I haven't got any assistants yet... Ok, but to get money you have to sell the tools, otherwise you get nothing {don't worry... I might get a few peasants to buy your goods...}, and you have to pay me half of your gold of what you get out of the tools. For that, I'll supply you with the tools to make more tools, and I'll give you an axe to get wood, and a pick-axe to get ore out of the mines, but you'll have to pay to get the ore melted into metals. I'll give you the tools to keep once you've earned me enough money." | ||||
Current items: (borrowed) Axe and (borrowed) pick-axe | ||||
* "Hmmm... I believe someone the farmer wants 3 scythes, if you can manage it. He's willing to pay 100 gold for each, so that means we'll both get 50 gold for each, so you'll make 150 gold, but it should take you some time to make them. I've already got some of the required metal to make them, but you'll need to get some wood yourself. There is forest north and west of this place." says the carpenter, handing him some metal.* | ||||
Current items: (borrowed) axe, (borrowed) pickaxe, 10 metal | ||||
