Mr. Vengence

Armies:

Everyone starts with an army of five thousand men, with no particular abilities apart from basic fighting skills. This can be expanded however if debates are won. The reward for the debate winner will be decided upon when the debate is posted.

Negotiations:

You can reach agreements with other player’s to hep each other. To do this you must say how much of your army you will 'lend' out to help your ally whenever he requests it. Other things like this must be decided upon by the two people forming a alliance.

Battles:

For your battles, you must post in this thread what you do in the battle, and the opponent then says a move they do. Then all the others players, after a set amount of moves have been made decide amongst themselves who is the victor.

Quests:

To prove your worth, you may go on quests. To go on a quest you post that you want one, and then two to five quests to choose from will be presented to you. After you have completed the quest you get a bonus for your army. To complete the quest you must post how you complete the quest. If you tell the tale well and in a good role-playing style then you get the bonus. If not then you receive nothing

The bonuses:

The bonuses will vary greatly depending on how they are earned. It may be a new weapon, new armour or new troops, it could be anything. Even a tin of C.B

Skill levels: You can up your own skill levels, and your armies. To up your armies costs five times as much as it would for you, since there are a lot of people in the armies. Skills are:

1) Morale: your soldiers fight better, as they are happier to be fighting

2) Cunning: allows you to steal for you and your troops. Stealing can be successful sometimes, sometimes not, but a higher skill level for this means that you have more chance of success. The larger the thing you steal the more chance of being caught

3) Reasoning: when you come back from quests you get a chance to get something added to the reward. Each level up gives a 5 percent chance of getting better rewards

Prices:

Morale:

Level one: 10 gold

Level two: 20 gold

Level three 30 gold

And so on, apart from level ten, the best level, which costs 150 gold.

Cunning:

Each level up costs fifteen gold more than the last. Max levels fifteen. First level is only ten gold

Reasoning: same as cunning

Buildings:

Below is a list of prices:

Wall: 30 gold and 50 trees

Fort: 50 gold and 60 trees

Moat: 20 gold and 25 trees

Houses: 15 gold  and 30 tree. Only 30 trees after first home built

Barracks: 35gold and 50 trees

Farm: 15 gold and 15 trees. First one tales no wood

Those are basic buildings. If you have a building you want to have other than those, please tell me and I will price them.

Tree:

To get tree you must travel and collect it. It will take you two hours to reach the tree, and you then get one tree per person every hour. So the more troops you take, the more trees you get an hour. You can send no more than fifteen men. They must be peasants

Peasants: to get peasants you need farms and homes. Some of the bigger buildings you think of may have a food price too due to the huge amount of work the peasants have to do.

Thieving:

Need something new? Maybe a particular weapon of another player has taken your fancy? Want it? Here is how to get it:

1) Post the fact that you are going to attack that player

2) Post how you steal it

3) Let the person being stolen from react

4) React again

Continue like this reacting to each other, then after a while I will decide upon whether the item was stolen or not. if the thief is not successful, then they must hand over ten gold to the person they were going to steal from. if they get caught and do not have ten gold, then they die, as they are turned in and get hanged.

Hostage taking:

If you are looking for some extra money, or resources, a good way is to take a hostage. You can take hostage someone else’s general, that person themselves. To get them back, or free themselves, they must pay whatever fee the hostage taker wants

To take a hostage use the same rules as for thieving.

The market:

In the market you can say things you would like, and I will set a price for them. Other players can also sell excess resources. On no account should you have an item without buying it

Blocks:

To make a block, you must have 25 wood

To make one, say the position and size. If it is a large block a small sum of gold may be required also, to pay the people who built it

Timings: When you move to attack someone, it will take a certain amount of time to get there. To get to other peoples forts, you will have to travel for three days (one hour= one day) if you want to go to the market, you will travel one day. If you want to go to other places post that you want to and I will say how long it takes you.

Some Rules for attacks:

1)      Under no circumstances can you post how many of the opponents troops you kill, I will decide that.

2)      If the person you attack does not reply within 48 hours, then the attacker wins.

3)      Always wait for the opponent to post their reaction to yours before posting again. If you want to do something different then that is just tough.

Side Quests

As it can be hard to earn, there will be side quests continually on offer. They will not be hard. All of them have a reward of ten gold pieces.

Your resources

Please post your gold, tree and any other resources you may have bought with each post. That way it is possible to keep track of what everyone has, and therefore stop people cheating.

Troops

You can put your troops to any use, training, patrolling, building, anything. If you do not post their activities that means they are doing nothing (sleeping, or just sitting doing nothing), and are therefore vulnerable to attack

Peasants

each peasant pays 0.3 tax. One home is room for five peasants, and one farm supports ten peasants. If you don’t meet their requirement then they will move out. They serve no purpose other than to pay you tax

The tax rate may seem low, but if you get a lot of peasants then that is a lot of gold.

They pay taxes once every three weeks (one month). Which is 21 hours game time.

please follow this, failure to do so will result in a loss of ten gold coins and ten trees.

That is all for now, more may be added, but i wanted to get this going again fairly quickly.

Wraith, please continue in the old thread, this is only for sign ups. sorry, should have said

15:01:33 Feb 11th 08 - Mr. Delran:

*Delran looks at the lands in front of him. He has just arrived in these lands. His men are nothing but a bunch of farmers and mercenaries, armed with rudimentary weapons and armours, lacking military training but eager and following him, having all their hopes put on him.

He finds a suitable location for his encampment: a rocky peninsula. The cliffs form a natural defense arround it, leaving a small pass for the link with the mainlands and oposite to it they leave an opening to the sea. There, Delran orders some of his men to build one house and one farm.

He then sets up a patrol plan and dispatches 100 men to patrol the beach, 100 men to guard the pass and 300 men on 25 men squads to patrol the peninsula and the mainland close to it. The remainig men, arround 4400, he puts them to train at close-quarters fighting with whatever weapons they have. He orders most of his officers to take care of their training.

While inspecting the peninsula with the rest of his officers, two of the soldiers guarding the pass bring a terrified peasant in front of them.

"What is it with him?"

"Sir, he came here, running, saying that there is a bear that threatens their village. It is eating their livestock and now, one villager has lost his life."

"Is this true, man? Speak to me!"

"Mm... mylord" said the peasant in terror "tth.. there is a bear out there, kk.. killing out cc... cattles aaa... and our sssh... sheeps. IIII.... cc...came hhh....here because I found out that sss...some  w...warriors  made camp. III wanted to enlist some help. Please help us. Last night, Joe the farmer lost his life while defending his cows! Please....!"

"Very well! I shall help you! Captain Dark, take command of the camp while I am away!

"Yes sir!"

"You can go home, man. I will come to the village with the bears skin."

Delran, leaves the camp only with his sword. He goes to the forest and looks for a young tree. He finds one with a diameter of 4 inches. He cuts it down with his sword. He adjustes it's lenght to 8 feet and sharpens one end, making a wooden spear. He then goes for the bear.

After shearching the forest for three hours, he finds the dean of the bear. He leaves the spear at some distance, and starts making noise and throwing rock in the den. A roar is heared from the den and the bear comes out, angered.

The bear dives toward Delran, but he manages to evade the bear and swing a hit on him. The hide of the bear is hard, and injuries are few, but this blow enrages the bear. He is now going for the kill. Delran runs to the spear and waits for the bears charge, when the bear is 15 feet away, he picks up the spear and points it towards the bear. The bear stops for a few seconds, looking at the fragile stick and the human holding it. The rises on his back legs. He is huge, a two meters high beast. This is the moment Delran was waiting. He puts the blunt end of the spear on the ground and the sharp end pointed to the heart of the bear. The bear come for him, and throws himself at the man in front of him, but the spear holds his weight and pierces his thick hide right in the heart. Delran jumps back a few hit to avoind being cought under the bear. The wooden spear is broken under the weight of the bear, but the bear is already dead. Delran skinnes the bear and heads for the village with the bears skinn.

The villagers are happy to see him and thanks him for helping then.
