Master-at-Arms -Jonny Bacardi (seems like fun, I'd like to give this a whirl)

"Right skip ready to sail!"

Master-at-Bow -

13:48:15 Sep 29th 07 - Sir Ragnarr Stormguard:

No actually, but if anyone is willing to be a mage, he can be.
It's just that the mage role is not important aboard this longship.

16:07:51 Sep 29th 07 - Duke Tiber Septim IV:

Unless it is Fizban or Erunion, and if he sinks a whole fleet of warships with his magic I'm sure he'll be important...

19:38:45 Sep 29th 07 - Mr. Seloc:

But then if he does it would be boring....

00:01:47 Sep 30th 07 - Sir Ragnarr Stormguard:

Mages heal. The thing you're talking about, Septim, is a wizard. A very powerful wizard.

08:42:59 Sep 30th 07 - Duke Tiber Septim IV:

So you're saying that the Raining Fire that was used on my city was done by healers?! HOLY CR@P! I'd hate to see what the real Wizards can do!

18:33:37 Sep 30th 07 - Sir Ragnarr Stormguard:

No, what I mean is that mages in large numbers are powerful, but a single wizard can do as much as 100 of mages, or even more,.. but this is really not important.

Navigator - Seloc (DUH!)

Master-at-Arms -Jonny Bacardi (seems like fun, I'd like to give this a whirl)

Master-at-Bow -

Right, Seloc, are you still with your own ship? Or are you sailing along with us?

20:08:45 Sep 30th 07 - Mr. Seloc:

ahh yeh I never did get a chance to test out the "Blue Ray" but it would probly be a good idea if I suck with you guys stop you getting into too much mischeif, I must insist on no salamanders, or talking animals.

22:25:30 Oct 1st 07 - Sir Ragnarr Stormguard:

Right. I have made preparations for the game and most of the things are ready. But we need more people. We can start like this but, it would be better to have more members.
( the bard could be anyone who already is a member of the crew, but since nobody is interested, I'll be the bard apart from Master and Commander. )

01:04:28 Oct 2nd 07 - Sir Jonny Bacardi The Last Paladin:

alright. sounds like a plan =)

08:22:56 Oct 2nd 07 - Mr. Seloc:

I'm sure Septim has some fliers handy.....

16:49:04 Oct 2nd 07 - Sir Ragnarr Stormguard:

VI. The Stormborn's Flight Across the Waves

( We start from Ironkeep - a bit before we ended last time. Please read what happened before for those who are new to the game )

On one of the old timber docks of Ironkeep, the seadog haven, two impressive ships were shaking gently from the low sea waves. One was the Stormborn - a long, beautiful and mighty longship, made from the finest ironwood, with wonderous carvings and a majestic mast, carrying a white sail with a grey wolf depicted on it. The other one was the Blue Ray. (Seloc you'd better describe her). Around them, on the salted wooden docks stood a number of men, supplying the ships for a new journey.
Ragnarr Stormguard, a Northern Lord and master and commander of the Stormborn was leaning on his sword in front of some of his crew. His long light-blonde hair was waving behind him from the wind as he spoke to his friends.
"Glad we're finally ready to go aboard, lads. But I need to tell you this - before, some of us might have thought that this journey was for pillage, burn and plunder."
Ragnarr placed his sword in his sheath slowly.
"No. It's not."
He looked in the eyes of some of the men. Septim, his old battle commrade was there, as well as Seloc and Sir Bacardi. More were standing at the back, listening to his words.
"A year ago, Aeron Silverwind set sail with the Northern Fleet to defend the lands from a southern invasion. Most of the ships came back, but not his - The Sea Fury. All I know is that he was last seen here, heading east, towards the Lonely Islands,.... He was like a brother to me, and I am going to find him. Rewards await you, of course, as well as adventures on the way. But I will not tolerate any unhonorable acts on board. Clear?"

(ooc: last chance for more people to join the crew for now. I'll wait another three hours from now untill we set sail)

17:16:01 Oct 2nd 07 - Mr. Seloc:

(Blue ray decription)

It was a smooth ship, slightly smaller than the Stromborn herself. Built of dark wooden strips of fine young wood. It had a large mast, with a black sail tinted blue by the sea, and many years of use. A second triangle shaped sail was balanced on the very front of the ship, hanging just above the sea. The "Blue Ray" looked very out of place with the common ships upon the waves, and it was incredibly experimental. It still retained the usual rudder oar and rowing oars, but upon looking closely one could see a BR cut into the lower flat of the wood. (If anyone has any good ideas of what else this ship should have just say.)

23:27:14 Oct 2nd 07 - Duke Tiber Septim IV:

*Septim looked up at his commander.

"What is a man without honor? Well, I guess certain VU players are what men without honor are but that is besides the point (BREAKING THE FOURTH WALL), anyways, I am ready to set sail Ragnarr."

*Septim's pet mongoose, Slasher, runs up and jumps on Septim's shoulder. Septim looks at him.

"Ready Slasher?"

*Slasher nods

01:11:03 Oct 3rd 07 - Sir Jonny Bacardi The Last Paladin:

Jonny looks on at his new captain. Although surely at least a half head taller then the former, Jonny did not show the muscle his captain had. His wiry build made him seem weaker then he really was though. His main gifts, acts of excessive humor and hilarity, where held in check by the captain as well.

"Sir, there is no life without honor. We'll help yer find your boy. Its a sad sad day when Jonny Bacardi don't keep his word."

13:54:45 Oct 3rd 07 - Sir Ragnarr Stormguard:

Ragnarr nodded, pleased with his crew. They were probably the best a sea veteran could have on board.
"Fine." he nodded coldly. "Asume setting off positions. Thoren, Olaf and Jens, prepare the sail. Kormac, prepare the oarmen." Ragnarr looked at Seloc. "Set sail after me, we'll comunicate with message ravens and signals if we get too far away. Good luck."
Soon the crew had the longship ready to depart from the old salty dock of Ironkeep. The majestic ship slowly set off towards the sea, its oars splashiing in the waves hard and stroking with the force of fifty sea veterans. The Stormborn slowly headed towards the horizon, with the Blue Ray behind...

15:57:46 Oct 3rd 07 - Duke Tiber Septim IV:

[[OOC: I am leaving again for five days...so just say that your Second in Command is sick with Scurvy or something]]

17:12:02 Oct 3rd 07 - Mr. Seloc:

*The blue ray sliced the waves, as it's newly instated veteran crew, made use of their previous weeks of training. Having commited Ragnarr's words to memory, Seloc preped a raven up with a test note.

Stormborn, Admiral Ragnarr,
Test note,
Blue Ray.

Seloc folded the note into a small cilindar and placed it into the pocket on the raven's left leg. Shoving the creature of his hand, he watched it spread it's wings, hover breifly, and make it's way to the Stormborn in such a way that it caught the updrafts.*

"Thorn (second in command) contiune to follow the Stormborn, don't lose sight of her."

17:29:36 Oct 3rd 07 - Sir Ragnarr Stormguard:

Ragnarr was standing besides the rudder oars, holding them firmly in his rough hands. He had left his reactions and instincts to lead the ship towards its course while he was deep in thoughts and memories about Aeron Silverwind. He was as old as Ragnarr himself, yet was exceptionally skilled in navigation and sailing. It was a common tavern tale that he could survive in the middle of the sea with only a "tartan boat, a sword and a lemon" and still make it back home.
A raven landed near Ragnarr. It had a message.

~----------------------------~

Stormborn, Admiral Ragnarr,
Test note,
Blue Ray.
~----------------------------~

Ragnarr threw the message in the sea and turned towards the Blue Ray, twenty meters behind, sailing in the silnet wind. Ragnarr waved.

(ooc : I'll make a map soon and show it to you people.
+ just for begining, we'll have a battle with sea brigands. We have done this before, but I suggest we do it again so I see how it's going and if I have to modify something.)

-While the two ships were sailing towards the eastern horizon, a small figure, black and gray, appeared in the distance. It was followed by four more. Obviously ships, heading their way..-

20:57:00 Oct 3rd 07 - Mr. Seloc:

*Thorn was the first to notice the ships. Bening on separt ships, Seloc could either being the long task off letter after letter to Ragnarr, and the Stormborn, or watch for crude flag orders, or take the initative. Seloc going for the latter contunied to follow the Stormborn on her course.*

"Thorn prepare this ship for battle, Logar that two others you awake those that have dozed off."

00:29:46 Oct 4th 07 - Sir Jonny Bacardi The Last Paladin:

*Jonny saw the ships. He looked out, and didn't like the way they looked. Too sinsiter, for five ships to be moving like that together, it bode ill to thme, no matter who they where. He moved to the captain, and asked him what was to do. Five minutes later, Jonny was making his rounds, dealing out arms. There was a small group of skilled archerers on board, most of the men where given cutlasses.*

"Prepare yourselves boys, its gonna be a good one!"

11:02:41 Oct 4th 07 - Sir Ragnarr Stormguard:

Ragnarr looked at Sir Bacardi with curiosity.
"The hell, man, why cutlasses? These northmen are best with axes."
Ragnarr moved the rudder oars and soon The Stormborn had taken advantage by being above the five ships (I mean the wind is coming from south, so the longship was further south than the sea brigand ships, thus having a fresh supply of air.) Ragnarr could see clearly now the other ships.

(ooc: I'm trying to stick to a more fantasy theme rather than old school pirate topic, so do not be surprized by the old fashioned ships.)

They were all war galleys - good ships, fast and light, yet quite fragile in a storming sea, even though they were manoverable. The largest ship was at the front, the Sirens' Call. It was a fine galley, painetd all in demonic red and black, with large white sails. The flag didn't seem to represent any kingdom. It also had a marvelous figurehead of a siren on its bow, reaching arms out.
The ships got closer and closer to each other. The Siren's Call tried to sail above the Blue Ray to gain advantage of the wind, yet Seloc prooved more skillfull than captain of the sea brigand flagship. Another pirate ship, the Bringer of Doom, blocked the way of the Stormborn and managed to grapple on, sending arrows on the decks and men with short swords jumping on the bow. Ragnarr took out his War Horn and blew it with all the force he had, before charging ahead towards enemies.
"Thoren, damn it, take the rudder oars! Bacardi, after me! Everyone, attack!"

- Seloc - you can now choose which ship to attack. Note that the flag ship, The Sirens' Call, is the toughest and both ships need to attack it to gain victory. Everyone else - it's battle time -

11:48:46 Oct 4th 07 - Sir Jonny Bacardi The Last Paladin:

Jonny ran foward, rapier in hand. He was one of the few crew members not of northern decent, but raised dwon by the coastal cities of the legion of Marauders. Now, he would have to put his skills with the sword to the test. Engaging his first enemy, he easily saw his opponents weakness. His enemey charged him, and was easily dispatched with a quick thrust through the stomach, then pulled up through the rib cage.

Jonny took the time to wipe his blade as clean as possible under the circumstances, on his opponents shirt, before moving on to engage further enemies.

"Come on, eh. Leys show these little girls how true men fight. Come on boyz, lets get em!"

18:13:29 Oct 4th 07 - Mr. Seloc:

*The 'Blue Ray' having been on the 'Stormborn's' tail most of the way, had to round it when Ragnarr's ship got tangled. Seloc quickly decided on a left, as the 'Upper Mantis' was swooping in toward the right. This option was quickly blocked off by the 'Sirens' call' harassing the 'Blue Ray' with a shower of arrows. Although these arrows were mostly useless clattering of the, sheild wall of the crew, to contiune his current route would open up, his remaining side to yet another ship. So Seloc was forced to take a sharp right, having not been able to warn the crew a couple were heavied overboard by the suddenly switching in direction. The immediate danger of slaming into the 'Stormborn' was dealt with. Unforunatly the swift turning off the ship, lot Seloc the wind, and the 'Blue Ray' was left to the mercy of the attackers. Ten heart beats later and the 'Deathbringer' had grappled Seloc's ship and were swarming over. The 'Upper Mantis' had somehow managed to get next to the otherside of the 'Blue Ray' was raining arrows down upon the unsuspecting crew members.*

"ARCHERS, MOVE YOURSELEVES STOP THOSE ARROWS!, THE REST OF YOU TAKE OUT THOSE GRAPPLES, BEFORE WE'RE ALL DEAD!"

*Seloc drew a short sword and immediatly hacked away a grapple that had landed, nearby.*

22:35:26 Oct 4th 07 - Sir Ragnarr Stormguard:

Having seen what happened to the Blue Ray, Ragnarr knew that dealing quickly with the Bringer of Doom was obligatory. He quickly slashed twice, cutting three lightly armored and quite surprized by the sudden attack men, who fell in the water with bloody splashes. He jumped from the bow of the Stormborn and landed lightly on the enemy deck. He stabbed the closest man in front of him, leaving him choking blood on the salted deck while he was attacking another. Ironfounderson and Kormac jumped on the deck after him, killing off any resistance from around. It seemed that the sea brigands were not well equiped - they had weak leather armor and old rusty chainmail at best, armed with little more than daggers, spears and short swords. They had no chance against the sea veterans of the Stormborn.
"Sir Bacardi, deal with the commander of the ship while I battle these wretches!" Ragnarr managed to call from behind his shoulder while parrying an attack. He and about ten other northmen were battling over the deck with the sailers while the lord and captain of the Bringer of Doom was with his archers on the commander's deck at the back, sending arrows their way. Chaos had devoured the ships.

The sea brigand fleet had not yet surrounded the ships because of obvious deorganization - pirates were always too pompous, unable to accept even the smiplest commands with out suspicion. The Stormborn and Blue Ray were fighting with the Bringer of Doom and Deathbringer, while the Upper Mantis, Sirens' Call and The Sea Maiden were sailing about them on the lower side, sending arrows, falling both on enemy and own ships.

- Seloc, you'll have to write about your battle I'm afraid, I don't want to mess your plans up. - Places for joining the Stormborn are now open for new players. -

02:30:04 Oct 5th 07 - Sir Jonny Bacardi The Last Paladin:

Jonny jumped on board the Bringer of Death, and quickly made his way around the main clot of fighting. He called to him two of his best men. The upper deck of the enemy ship had two stairways. Jonny's plan was simple. As his two commardes run up one side of the ship with shields, so as to not become human pincushions, he woould slip up the other side, and hit them from behind in a very small pincer movement.

The plan worked perfectly. As the two seafarers ran up one of the sets of stairs, Jonny charged up the other. The archerers where forced to pull out their swords. The captain however, looked to be a very fierce creature, standing taller, looking more sinister, then the rest.

He turned to his left, and there was Jonny, sword raised in a fighting stance. The captain pulled his own sword, and the battle began. The two fighters started their dance of death. Swords flicking, clashing, and immediatley pulling back. However, Jonny, easily saw that he easily outmatched the corsair. I think his opponent realized it too. He made a bad move, and Jonny took his first strike, slashing right at his legs.

As the corsair fell, his right leg cut off at the knee, he let out a terrible cry....

05:16:42 Oct 5th 07 - Duke Tiber Septim IV:

*Septim drew a cutlass

"Lets go get 'em!"

*Septim grabed ahold of a rope and jumped after Jonny, he landed beside him and quickly started to hack away at pirates, he hacked out one's eye and chopped off one's leg, he then stabbed another...

08:55:23 Oct 5th 07 - Mr. Seloc:

*The 'Blue Ray' was holding on, with minimum casualties, at both sides, as most of the fight revolved around grapples. Everytime the pirates would throw a crew member would begin hacking at the cords.

This contiuned though-out the duation of the battle, until, CRACK the main sail on the opposing ship snaped. It fell with a loud crunch, upon the deck of the  'Blue Ray'. Seloc ran down into the fray to access the situation, the mast was planted firmly wedged between a newly made crack on the deck. The crunching sound turned out to be Thorn, who was directly under the mast when it fell. There was no chance he survived.*

Logar: "CAPTIAN!"

*Seloc swivaled round to see a nervous pirate, edging his way accross the mast, as know it was a bridge. The pirate himself was cut down upon landing on deck but there were other pirates copying his actions.*

"CHARGE! USE THE MAST AS A BRIDGE!"

*Stabbing his short sword into the rotten wood of the mast, Seloc used it as a step and mounted the mast. Unlike the pirates Seloc had a sence of balanced, and charged accross the bridge. He rammed head long into the pirates knocking them backwards, one unlucky sod fell of into the drink. Seloc lay in a heap on the enemy deck ontop of three very unhappy pirates, snacking the saber from the nearest. Seloc got up and backaway towards the bridge, whilst the pirates close in. The first one fainted a stab, Seloc clumsily tryed to block it, and a second pirate took this oppurtunity to thrust his sword between Seloc's ribs. The man colapsed before he could strike his blow as Logar landed ontop of him. Soon the deck was swarming with Seloc's crew.*

"GO FOR THE CAPTIAN!"

09:32:29 Oct 5th 07 - Sir Ragnarr Stormguard:

The Bringer of Doom was quickly defeated. As soon as Sir Bacardi and Duke Septim finished off the commander and his officers, the crew threw its weapons on the deck and left it self in the mercy of the Stormborn's crew. Ragnarr was slashing at a sailer when he realized that they had all stopped fighting. The northman lowered his sword.
"Duke Septim, chain these wretches below deck. We'll see what we can do  for them later. But do it in haste, for we.."
An arrow ended his speach as it found his left arm. Ragnarr caught wounded place, and broke the arrow with a sudden painful move.
"Make sure all are chained so that.....we leave no guards. Be quick!" he said.
Ragnarr then jumped on to his own deck, followed by a constant company of ten northmen. He saw Seloc and his crew running over the Deathbringer, obviously having the upper hand.

As the Stormborn was being blocked the Bringer of Doom, as it prevented the way forward. Behind was the Blue Ray, battleing with the Deathbringer. There were no ships on the southern side, leaving both the Stormborn and Blue Ray with an advantage. The Upper Mantis was on Seloc's ship northern side, readying an attack, while The Sea Maiden was on Ragnarr's longship northern side, board to board, open in battle, obviously grappled on while he was fighting with the other ship's crew.

"Sir Bacardi, rally the rest and follow after my break through. Sweap our deck from all enemy sailers." Ragnarr touched his neck, caught a leather string and pulled out his meddalion. It was not actually that, but Thor's Hammer - made from fine silver, yet looking a bit old, roughned from the years. Ragnarr let it stay visable on his chest and raised his sword after his loud battlecry.

"STORMGUARD!" sounded among the masts and sails of the ships.

He ran followed by his warriors, dodging the coming arrows, killing an enemy in the way, jumped over the small open sea beneath and landed on the captain's deck. He immediatly looked aroudn for the commander of the ship while slashing at the closest warrior. Yet with horror he realized that the crew of The Sea Maiden was consisting mainly of women,.....

11:31:03 Oct 5th 07 - Sir Jonny Bacardi The Last Paladin:

"Come on boys, ya heard the captain, lets egt these wretches off our ship. Their blood isn't even worthy of being spilled on it!"

Whilst saying this, Jonny ran forward, and with a flying kick, knocked one of the unlucky pillagers into the sea.

He turned around, and readied himself for a fight. None came. The reamianing crew members where more then capable of mopping up the aftermath of the battle that took place on their prized ship.

17:21:40 Oct 5th 07 - Mr. Seloc:

*Seloc swung his saber with all his force, it broke entirely though the man's guard and left a dent in his neck, the man crumplled under his own weigh, and Seloc stepped over him.*

"Captian! we've found him, this way!"

*Seloc followed the voice and arrived in a highly decorated cabin, with a very unhappy looking pirate in the middle, being circled by Seloc's crew. Five in the room inclued Seloc the man didn't stand a chance but he was diffiant. He fainted a blow to the man on his left, and neatly pierced the unsuspecting man's shoulder on his right, the man ducked out and Seloc took his place.*

"All together guys, NOW!"

*Seloc and his two crew mates rushed the man, the first went down to a neat ark right though his head, Seloc managed to pin the man against the wall with his saber, right though his shoulder. The enemy captain winced in pain, and dropped his sword not being able to dodge the third blow, he died his head rolled to floor, putting a dark smudge upon the final man's shoe. Since the captain was the last to die most of the crew were nearby, so when Seloc gave the order to retreat it was swiftly carried out.

Back aboard his ship Seloc had lined his crew up against the broken mast each with a firm hold, and a thin rank was spread around them these were bearing sheilds as the 'Upper Mantis' looked like it would attack soon.*

"3.....2.......1.......HEAVE!"

06:45:35 Oct 6th 07 - Duke Tiber Septim IV:

*Septim slashed out one's legs and stabbed another in the heart, he then realized that the ship was almost clear of enemies.

"C'mon men! LETS GO!"

*Septim stabbed one in the stomach, swung his sword with the enemy on it, and the enemy soon fell off and crashed into another enemy, Septim then stabbed the other enemy on the ground and looked up. No soldiers remained.

11:36:17 Oct 6th 07 - Sir Ragnarr Stormguard:

A spear going in Ragnarr's left leg brought him back into the real battleground. With out thinking, he hacked at the closest sailer. The Sea Maiden's crew was consisting of better equiped men, with iron half helms and chain mail armor, armed with iron spears, castle forged swords and oak shields. Apart from that, in a moment of a second while Ragnarr was parrying a sword, he noticed that the women on the ship were mainly archers, positioned on the forecastle and commander's deck around the lord of the ship.
Ragnarr kicked the man ahead in the belly before slashing his throat open and breaking through the shield wall ahead. Behind him, Kormac was sending fast arrows at near by enemies and Thoren was wielding his axe like a true berserker. More of his own warriors were coming on the ship, ready for battle. Greyjoy, Ragnarr's battle commrade (his white wolf) was close behind, tearing an enemy's throat out.
Ragnarr hit the man in front of him in the face with his fist, then turned to meet another's hack from behind. He stopped it, stabbed at the man, but his sword found his shield. The northman spun it, taking the shield off the man's hand, and swung his sword so that the oak protection flew and hit the enemy in the face, leaving him unable to take part in the bloody battle any more.
"STORMGUARD!" he yelled, being a fierce site on the deck - few things were more frightening than a tall northman on your ship, slashing among your crew with Thor's Hammer swinging around his neck.

12:19:13 Oct 6th 07 - Mr. Seloc:

"THIRD TIME LUCKY........AND HEAVE!"

*The mast left the 'Blue Ray' with a giant dent in hull, and rocking violently. Seloc dived for the rail as the ship started the sway. The crew were flying about everywhere. Seloc slowly inched his way towards the steering rudder.*

"To positions people, go for the 'Upper Mantis'!"

*The ship recovered it's balance as it was jumped back into motion by a sudden gust of wind, heading strait for the 'Upper Mantis'. Whom had foolishly stopped right infront of it, Seloc drove his ship strait into it. The front almost cutting it in half. Thanks to the berzerkish manouver the 'Blue Ray' was now wedged in the ship. Fighting broke out between the crews almost instantly. The fighting was strait forward as grapples were not needed, Seloc leapt over the side of his own ship after his crew. He landed, rolling so as not to damage himself, drawing his saber his stabbed the nearest pirate, who was deuling with Logar. Logar gave him an appreciative nod and turned back to the fray, searching for more enemys.

The wood underneath Seloc feet was slippy, a mixture of blood and sea water. Sea water.*

"BACK TO THE SHIP NOW"

*Few people turned to obey Seloc order, never-the-less Seloc found himself running head long for the 'Blue Ray'. A loud creak was to be heard to the far side of the 'Upper Mantis' as the floor split open and the nearby sailors were engulfed by a violent swirl of sea water, sucking them in. More people joining Seloc in his dash as they too discovered the ship was sinking.*

14:28:14 Oct 6th 07 - Sir Jonny Bacardi The Last Paladin:

Jonny stood, watching in amazement as the Upper mantis slowly sank, while Selco and those of his crew remaining tried to catch their breath back aboard their own ship.

Jonny then turned his attention to the Iron Maiden, where the real battle was taking place.

Jonny jumped, easily landing on the deck of the ship, with a few of his best sword man behind him, charged into the fray. Hacking and slashing, Jonny finally worked his way up to where his captain stood, fighting great odds with a wound in his side. It would be a long day of fighting, and the northman and his crew would make these raiders pay dearly for their mistakes.

15:23:30 Oct 6th 07 - Mr. Seloc:

[I think you miss-counted Jonny...only 5 ships, upper mantis, deathbringer, bringer of death, maiden's kiss, siren's call]

18:20:23 Oct 6th 07 - Sir Jonny Bacardi The Last Paladin:

[yea, my bad, i mean to say The Sea Maiden. didn't miscount though. don't see how, lol]

18:26:16 Oct 6th 07 - Sir Ragnarr Stormguard:

[ I'm a fan of Iron Maiden ((: anyway I'm waiting for Septim's post and then I'll continue.]

23:11:46 Oct 7th 07 - Duke Tiber Septim IV:

*Septim jumped after Jonny and landed on the enemy ship, he then pulled out a longsword from a sheath at his side.

"STORMGUARD!"

*Septim runs towards a man with his longsword and strikes him down, but is then knocked down with by a kick to the back. Septim turns to see a cutlass coming down towards him and grabs the enemy's hand. Septim punches the raider three times in the face and kicks him in the chest, grabbing the cutlass, Septim then gets up and stabs the cutlass into the raider's heart. Septim then turns to see Jonny limping towards the captain, the captain kicks the heavily wounded Jonny down, the Captain then pulls a longsword from a sheath at his side.

"Oh no you don't!"

*Septim runs towards the Captain and dropkicks him in the face, the Captain stumbles backwards and Septim lands on the ground.

Captain: "You will pay for that!"

*The Captain readies his blade and Septim readies him, the two charge eachother and the two strike eachother with such force that both are knocked backwards by the shock. Septim manages to get up first and picks up the Captain's blade.

"Was it I that was going to pay?"

*Septim drives the blade through the Captain's arm, driving him into the deck, Septim then grabs a cutlass from a fallen raider and drives it through the captain's other arm.

"I think not..."

*Septim drags Jonny (The only other Stormborn crew member) off of the ship, tieing him to a rope and swinging him to the Stormborn, Jonny lands on the Stormborn and unties himself.

"Now for this ship..."

*Septim lights a torch and the Captain looks at him with fear in his eyes.

Captain: "No please! Not the ship!"

*Septim holds the torch to the sail of the ship and it burns almost instantly, Septim then holds it to the deck and it starts to burn. He drops the torch and runs at a rope, swinging back to the Stormborn, he lands and looks back to see the Captain burning to ashes. He then turns to Jonny.

"You alright?"

23:51:34 Oct 7th 07 - Sir Ragnarr Stormguard:

- As Duke Septim burnt the ship, the wooden galley creaked horrorfully as its burning remains were dragged to the deapths of the sea,as if pulled down by sea creatures, eager to haunt it. But while he and Sir Bacardi were tending their wounds on the Stormborn, Seloc had almost destroyed the "Upper Mantis", which was bending and crushing above the sea waves. Wounded men were swimming in the chaos among the ships, bleeding and crying for help, even though none aided them - they were all busy in the slaughter. Ragnarr and his battle commrades managed to escape the flaming ship along with Septim and Sir Bacardi, leaving the "Sirens' Call" ahead of them and the "Upper Mantis", which was almost dealt with. -
Ragnarr had no time to inform Seloc about the charge with message ravens, so instead he shouted at the Blue Ray's direction.
"THE FLAGSHIP! GO FOR THE BLOODY FLAGSHIP!"
He then turned towards his crew. They were all good men, all fine lads. He knew them all by name. He knew most of them had people waiting for them back home. Ragnarr knew they were tired from the fighting, but it had to be done.
"Prepare for an attack on their flagship. We'll take her by her southern side, hoping Seloc will take her from the bow." He said as he grabbed the rudder oars and directed them. "Sir Bacardi, ready the men for a last and final battle. Septim, see that the dead are below deck so they could have a proper burial later." Ragnarr knew they had lost men in the last galley.
The Stormborn quickly outmanouvered the Sirens' Call, coming from the souhern side with the advantage. Kormac and his archers sent volley after volley sweeping the decks of the large demonic red galley, hiding behind the shield when the enemy crew returned with arrows. The longship quickly took her by the side, after which immediatly Ragnarr took his sword out and yelled:
"No mercy! Remember your fallen commrades! Cut down the sea brigands!"
He then jumped over the small area of sea beneath, leaving Thoren at the rudder oars, and landed on the enemy deck, followed by Sir Bacardi and Duke Septim, as well as Greyjoy and the sea veteran crew.

(ooc : Seloc, I need you fast on the Sirens' Call deck. You have finished with the Upper Mantis, right?)

00:15:49 Oct 8th 07 - Mr. Erunion Telcontar:

{OOC, Thanks for allowing me to join Ragnarr}
Beneath the decks, Erunion wakes up in his cell, with the few other's that were captured with him. That's the last time I don't check on the watch, fool elf, allowing them to sneak up on us. Most of us must have been taken or killed in our sleep. Well, from the looks of it, he's a dead fool. Blood and Ashes, I'll give them hell for what they did to my ship!
    "
Johansen, Torealan, wake up!"
Two of the sleeping forms, awoke from there stupor.
"Your grace, your alive!" Johansen said, Torealan, however, was far to groggy to say anything, with a cut across his forehead and a bump on his head.
"Wake the others, we are taking command of this vessel!"

Fighting on the deck, the captain of the Siren's Call didn't hear the cries for help from below, didn't realize what was happening until the door flew off it's hinges in a burst of flame.
"Forward Naergothrendarin's! Death to the brigands!"
With that cry, a group of Naergothrendarin footmen and sailors, most without there armour, but with weapons nonetheless, charged onto the deck.

00:35:24 Oct 8th 07 - Duke Tiber Septim IV:

*Septim carried the body's down below the ship and came back up. Septim then hears a noise.

"What the hell was that?!"

*Septim runs to the edge of the Stormborn to see a mage and several others battling the crew of the Siren's Call. Septim then runs to the edge of the ship where he grabbs a small raft and a grappling hook. He then lowers it down into the water,  after climbing in he grabs the oar and paddles to the Siren's Call without being seen. Septim silently pulls up beside the ship and grabbs the grappling hook from his belt. He throws it up and it hooks onto the deck, he climbs up and draws his longsword from his sheath. He stabs a man in the back and looks at Erunion.

"I am a soldier of Ragnarr Stormguard, and I am an ally!"

*Septim then kicks a soldier who was just running up to him off of the ship. He then turned and started fighting a group of raiders.

03:28:29 Oct 8th 07 - Sir Jonny Bacardi The Last Paladin:

As Jonny half limped after his commander, he wondered what the hell was going on. The fighting had erupted aboard the Sirens Call that he was not sure. The elven warriors looked to be in bad shape, but then agian, so was everyone else, after the hard fight they had just had.

As Jonny got onto the deck, he found himself surrounded suddenly by four very evil looking corsairs, two with cutlasses, one with a hatchet, an one with a sword he had probably picked up from one of his own men.

Just as they prepared to engage in battle, one of the elves jumped in, and took out one of the cutlass bearing fiends, while crying out "My name is Johansen. I'm a friend. Lets take these guys out."

Together, the two warriors easily defeated the three remaining cut throats.

10:45:14 Oct 8th 07 - Mr. Seloc:

Ragnarr: "THE FLAGSHIP! GO FOR THE BLOODY FLAGSHIP!"
Seloc: "SET SAIL YOU HEARD THE MAN, THOSE NOT ABOARD MY SHIP IN 10 SECOND ARE GETTING LEFT BEHIND!"

*The remaining crew off the 'Blue Ray' set about the task. The ship turned left, taking a chunk of the 'Upper Mantis with it. Only one man had refused to board the 'Blue Ray' after the order was given, he turned around slowly to discover his ship sailing away, a trickle of blood welling from each ear. He was death. Seloc saw Logar get slain by the enemy he had turned away from to watch his ship.*

"Dam...."

*The 'Stormborn' had attacked the south side of the 'Sirens' Call', therefore the most logical thing to do would attack the bow. The 'Blue Ray' limped toward the enemy at a unrealistic speed, for such a battered ship, and in no time the 'Blue Ray' could see the spectical aboard the ship. A group of elves and the fore-runners of Ragnarr's crew were emptying the ship. The 'Blue Ray' came to a sudden stop, not having time to take down the sail, the wind was still pushing at it. The only thing holding it in place were the rope grapples the two sides were exchanging, as a result the whole structure began to turn, slowly.*

"COME ON LADIES, TIME TO HELP RAGNARR!"

[Ragnarr, Ragnarr stormguard, Admiral Ragnarr or Captain Ragnarr which do you prefer?]

22:43:07 Oct 8th 07 - Sir Ragnarr Stormguard:

[ Just Ragnarr. If you insist on adding a title, let it be lord. ((: ]

"The hell,..." Ragnarr's confusion lasted a fraction of a second after he saw the elves burst out through the ship, cutting down the crew. Before he could think about what the hell was going on, a mace swung above his head just after he managed to duck in time. He thrust his sword forward at the man with the mace, stabbing him deeply, the sword passing through his whole body and out through his back. Ragnarr freed his sword while kicking a near by attacker in the chest after which he cut him down.
He turned around, noticed the preasance of someone behind him, ready for striking. It was a tall man, with long black hair and thin mustaches, looking at him with calm brown eyes, holding a longsword in his hands. He was wearing a long red cloak which swept the deck behind him. Ragnarr knew who it was, and the lord of the Sirnes' Call knew who Ragnarr was. The battle still continued around them, although a small space was formed around the two sea lords.
"So you're the bloody savage who sank my small fleet." the sea brigand admiral said with an calm, arrogant tone. "No matter. They were all weaklings, unworthy for the honor of being my followers." he continued.
Ragnarr kept silent. He grabbed his small charm, Thor's Hammer, and kissed it.
"You shall regret sailing in my waters, pagan." The brigand admiral raised his thin longsword and made a quick diving slash which Ragnarr barely escaped. He then made a low slash, at which Ragnarr jumped over the blade. After landing, he thrust his great-sword Darklighter forward, but the sea lord was quick to dodge it. Ragnarr then made a powerful slash, but yet again the brigand escaped from the deadly attack.
"I expected a good fight, yet instead I see before me a man, eaten from the inside by bloodlust." said the pirate lord calmly, after which he made three quick slashed towards the northman. Ragnarr dodged them, but the last fourth one found his arm and wounded him. Yet Ragnarr raised his sword high above his head, ready for a diving slash.
Just as he swung the blade down, the sea brigand was about to dodge it, but found out something was stopping him. A moment before the sword cut him down, he realized a white wolf had bitten his right leg, preventing him to move.
"Bloody hound,.." were his last words.
The lord of the Sirens' Call was dead.

23:09:17 Oct 8th 07 - Mr. Erunion Telcontar:

"Forward! Clear the decks!"
Yelling, the Naergothrendarins pushed forward, mingling with the Northerner's crew. A small group, including the Duke, cleared a space in the rear, and from it a stream of fireballs was coming.
Seeing the pirate lord brought down by a wolf and a human, Erunion cried out; "Lay down your arms, brigands! Your cannot win here!"

02:03:41 Oct 9th 07 - Sir Jonny Bacardi The Last Paladin:

Slowly, the evil pirates realized that fighting was useless. As a few started to lay down their arms, some started to fight harder, knowing this was it, all or nothing.

And so, small fightinf continued, but, not many of the crew of the Stormborn where hurt after that.

As Jonny fought his way over to his captain, he realized just how much the wound was hurting, as every step sent a spert of blood flowing onto the deck. He reached his captain, stumbled, and fell, unable to keep his balance.

"We gave em hell, eh sir?"

20:20:37 Oct 9th 07 - Duke Tiber Septim IV:

*Septim grabbed one man by the throat and held him over the edge of the ship.

"So...you mind telling me where your hideout is located?", asked Septim.

The man spat.

"GO TO HELL!", he said.

*Septim dropped the man and caught him with his other arm.

"One last chance...", said Septim.

"FINE! It's at Bucklebarrow Point! NOW LET ME GO!", he said.

"Fine...", said Septim as he let go, the man fell off the boat and Septim turned to his men.

"Good work guys", said Septim, he walked over to Ragnarr and told him the location of their hideout.

"Do you want to go there, and then to our destination, or straight to our destination?", asked Septim, "He could've been lieing..."

20:23:16 Oct 9th 07 - Mr. Erunion Telcontar:

Meanwhile, Erunion overheard Septim's question.
"I can scry it for you, if that is what you wish. I am Erunion Telcontar, Duke of Naergothrendar, and this is what is left of my crew. We were ambushed at night by these filth, due to the slovenliness of our, now dead, watchman. Who might you be?"

20:26:32 Oct 9th 07 - Duke Tiber Septim IV:

"I am Duke Tiber Septim IV of Cidel, Second in Command of the Stormborn", said Tiber, "I will let the others introduce themselves"
