Name: Sephiroth Gold: 10 A man awakes from his sleep troubled with nightmares. He looks around in the shack and wonders 'Who...am…I?' When “Sephiroth” flashes through his mind. It feels right, but the dream... never mind that now. He gets up from the floor and immediately heads for the city. He find the nearest recruiting office and signs up receiving shortsword in a scabbard, an iron barbute, and an iron chestplate. He heads to the training yard and he realizes he loves the feel of the weapon in his hand, but something was not right about it. Name: Sephiroth Gold: 355 After two days in training Sephiroth is discharged from the barracks and hands back the chestplate and Iron Barbute. The hard training he likes and decides to keep up. He leaves the barracks knowing how to use a weapon but also realizing he could be much better. He heads for the office of the protectors. “Hi I would like to sign up to be a Protector.”The man says, “Well, it just so happens highwaymen are rampant right now, so we need some extra swords. I’ll sign you up right now and you will begin patrolling on the highway heading west out of the city. Sephiroth heads for the highway but sees only scowling peasants. He realizes he is still dressed in rags and makes note of that. He goes and buys some bread to eat before going to sleep. [OOC: what city am I currently in? Also I would like to request katanas. Also when joining the protectors, do you receive any items?] | ||||
[Well originally we started in Tysolon....but it was defeated by another kingdom and we all joined Seron. Then Seron conquered the other kingdom sooooo....you are in a random city in Seron...and weapons are up but im not so sure katanas would be available....we arent exactly in an Oriental area...and when joining the protectors....i dont think so....the pay increase would let you get items easier though] | ||||
Jonny sees a man who looks like a peasant walking, but the man has a much better weapon then a normal peasant would, for it is much like his own. He walks alone. Jonny decides to be catious, and not jump out with his ban of men, he has a wife with child to think about now. Ernie woke up and ate breakfast. He then went and inspected his troops who were in their normal training routine outside the castle. He was taken to the guild of Oration by a carriage and he gave a lecture there on poise when speaking. He wrote some messeges to some lords and a count in his territory before eating dinner and going to sleep. When he leaves, he has a pretty decent understanding of the bow, and will be able to use it in battle. He works out running and doing pushups and sit-ups. He goes to the local clothing women just as they open up and buys a peasant quality cloth outfit for 15 gold. He went to the master at arms and paid 300 for a session on fighting and improved his skills to veteran. As he reported to the Protector at the office for duty the man decided to spare a few choice words with him. “Sephiroth! I hire you to protect the peasants and on the first the highway you are protecting gets a Caravan robbed of it valuables!!” Sephiroth replied, “But sir, there were other protectors on duty, were there not? I don’t thi-“He interrupts “I don’t give a rat’s behind what you think! Just do your job!” “Yes sir, I will keep my eyes peeled sir!” he replied “See that you do, or we will have some more words and a little extra if this happens again.” Leaving the office and heading for his patrol, he was thinking, “Man that guy is an ungrateful harda**!” when a man with a cudgel approaches him and says, “give me your money!” he must not have noticed the sword at my belt because when I unsheathed it and slashed across his belly, his guts poured out and there was the greatest look of surprise on him. With his dying breath muttered, “I only…Arya…Aegon……ughhhh” Truth be told, this man wasn’t much of a highwayman, and he truly couldn’t have robbed the caravan. He could now tell the protector of this but he felt no glory and…his words; they disturbed him. I mean this man was trying to help his kids in the only way he knew, and sure, it was robbing, but what was Sephiroth defending? Ungrateful peasants and Blustering fools? He decided to leave it at that and take the man’s cudgel to show the protector. His day continued without incident. He gave the protector the blood spattered cudgel, bought some bread, and went to bed thinking…

He then went and bought a Dark green hooded Cape and some bread for 35 gold. He headed for the office hood up. He dropped his hood and walked up to the same man as always, who said, “Did you get any of those bastards today?” “No.” Sephiroth replied. He gave him and ugly scowl and handed him his pay. “Well see that you do.” He says. “Why not start now?” Sephiroth replied. “Huh?” was the only thing he had time to say. That same look of surprise and what was it? Fear he decided and smile at the thought. He saw the realization on the old man’s face so he whipped out the blade from wear he was holding it under his cloak and plunged it into the man’s throat; to fast for his old age to even cry out before blood was gurgling from his throat his blue silk, now crimson. He wiped the blade on the man’s sleeve and sheathed it. He lifted up the hood, hiding his face in its deep folds, and left the office with the door locked behind him. He decided he would further his skill in combat, so after going about his morning routine he went to the master at arms and learned Expert fighting. After his training he decided to rob some people on his old highway. One man in particular made an interesting day. As Sephiroth kindly asked for his money the man refused and drew on him. He carried an old, rusty, shortsword by the look of it, the same as his but much older. Sephiroth expertly danced away from his clumsy, wild, swings. He parried a slash and then swept the man’s feet from under him and cracked him on the temple. He left him a couple of coins for his effort. He spent almost the whole day with her, except for in the evening, he snuck out and robbed some one really fast. no effort, and by himself. He then bought food, and returned home12th: Jonny and his wife look after their first born daughter. They plan on having a second one, which means that Jonny will have to find a better place for them to live. He robs some people, and calls it a day. As he is strolling around with the bread he bought, he notices a notice posted that reads, “Wanted for the murder of Sir Baliunus Dauphin. Any information leading to the capture of this man will be worth 1000 gold pieces and 3500 gold pieces to the man who brings him alive.” He finds nothing else of interest so he heads home and goes to bed. He heads into the city and goes first to the master smith. He buys iron pauldrons, and an iron Longsword. He then goes and buys studded leather bracers and steel toe boots. Sephiroth takes a course in smithing for 500 gold. After he is finished he decides he is dones with this city and would rather be elsewhere. He collects up what he owns buys a few days worth of bread and sets out, robbing as he goes. While inspecting the troops he sent for another 600 troops to be under his command giving him a total of 2000 garrisoned troops, not counting his 400 soldier city defense force. He then had them continuing their daily combat exercises and war games to improve their skills. He then visited the Guild of Oration, gave a speech there, and then wrote a letter to Duke Septim about a possible war game to keep each other's armies sharp. He then went to sleep. In the early morning Sephiroth arrives at a small town with wooden walls for defense. He goes to the local smith and pays him 1500 gold to teach him veteran smithing. Later, Sephiroth stops at the local pub to play chess. After a few games his record is 1-3 so he decides he has had enough of this town. He continues on down the road in the light of the moon. On this day, the Highwayman, Jonny Bacardi, was given the city of Merdoch as his own. The people rejoiced as they chased the old governor out, and made Jonny their new leader. He no longer had to live in his shack, instead, he was given the stone castle which the previous ruler had had built. After much rejoicing, Jonny went and learned expert Master fighting for 2700 gold. He was crowned with the circlet of nobility, and with the Ring of Merdoch.
