After waking up, Gaius felt aches go throughout his body. He walked to a bathroom, relieved himself, and walked down to the river for a bath. Afterwards, he dressed and went to Jasper's scriptorium, opening the door, he saw a man younger than Jasper sweeping some dust into a pile.
"You must be Cidellus," said the younger man, "I am Wesley Jasper, younger brother of Kenneth Jasper, your old employer. He was killed in action as you might know, and I was set to receive this place in his will."
"As long as I get work and pay, I will have no trouble working under you," said Cidellus.
"Excellent, ummm...there's a few books over there, copy them," said Wesley, pointing to a stack of books.
"Alright," said Gaius as he sat down behind the books and began his work.
