The Return of Kerait |
"Well, gentlemen, that concludes our meeting!" said Delran after Septim left the room. "Grand Admiral Xarxes, have that landing craft build and organize patrols on a mile radius near it. If anyone approaches give them one warning and then shoot. If they surrender, capture them and give me and The Chairman a notice about it. General Rell, organize motorised patrolls on the coast, use only WarHummers, they con sume less fuel than the rest of the vehicles we have. Also, you can send a few patrolls on the main land too. Keep them under ten and aim them mostly north. Their range will be 20 miles radius from Hervel. Dismiss!" "Yes Sir!" Delran left the room. At 31 years, 100 year ago, we was made commader of the Keraitin Military, but he only enjoyed his newly appointed command for a few seconds. Now, still at 31, he had command of an obsolete army, but that didn't mattered. He knew the men under his command were the best Kerait had 100 years ago and they would rise up to any task given to them. Due to their training, they could, given the necessary conditions, hold up even when they were outnumbered 10 : 1. "Now, let se what the Storm Riders did while I was on this mission." Delran walked to the two WarHummers that were parked outside the HQ and were guarded by the men he had with him during the mission. "Get in, men! We are visiting our comrades." The Storm Cohorte had built her base outside the city. Having a base inside would hinder their training. When they got there, they were stopped at the gate by a well armed guard unit. "Who wants to pass?" "High General Delran Dark!" "I received no word about it! I must ask the Command about this." Delran got down from the WarHummer. "Who are you? Never seen you before!" "Rider Bunduk Bashetshur, ....Sir! Was enlisted 3 moths ago!" "That explains much! Rider, I am your commander! And I will go inside my base! You can choose to let me pass, or I will pass over your dead body!" The expresion on Bunduk face showed terror. He stepped aside faster then he could think. Delran waved to the vehicles and got inside the base. AS expected, Colonel Tumarhad done a good work with building it, but a bad one about telling the men who their commander was. The cars stooped in front of the Command Center. Delran got there soon after. Colonel Tumar was shaking hand with Colonel Sharpe. "I am terribly sorry Sir! I should have told the new recruits more about their commanding officers, but I aimed mostly on getting them into shape. Our one mont recruits are better than the 1 year recruits we had back then." "It's allright, Colonel! I want you to assemble the men this afternoon to meet me! Also I want your report right now!' "Yes Sir! We have about 200 men, 50 from the old unit and 150 recruits, mostly from Hervel. The Cohorte has now 4 Centurias." "That is good! I will manage the Cohorte later. Now I'm off to sleep. You men are releived of duty for 2 weeks. That should be enough! Dismiss!" Delran was showed to his room by Tumar and went straight to bed.

[[OOC: You don't outrank Xarxes and Rell. You are the head of the army, Xarxes is the head of the navy, Rell is the head of the air force...]]

[[OOC: You did back then when you were High General. Sry, I didn't knew that.]

Howard Wolfe followed Batha Vel-Dumar through the streets of Iellus. After two hours of walking and constantly watching out for tails. They reached their destination, a manhole. After descending into the foul smelling undercity, they walked for another half hour before reaching a graffiti drawing that said "Long Live Freedom." "I am Batha Vel-Dumar, password: seven, oh, zero, nine, eight," said Batha. Suddenly, the sewer water parted to reveal a staircase. Batha walked down, so Wolfe did the same, they soon reached a metal door, in a corner, there was no lighting, and Wolfe wouldn't have noticed the man standing in the shadows had it not been for the glint of a pistol in his hand. "Code: Friendly BV with company," said Batha. The man lowered his pistol and the door opened. Once they got through the metal door, the smell was gone, but the hostility remained. Five men, all with strange rifles, aimed their weapons at them. A women stepped forward and made a gesture. The weapons were lowered. "I am Vana Vel-Dumar. you have done well, Batha," said Vana. "Thank you, sister," said Batha. "I'm Howard Wolfe, now let's cut the chatter, what do you have to offer for my services," said Wolfe. "Straight to business, fine, we are planning on assaulting an Iellusian Fort, we have over three hundred men throughout the city, the base has one hundred. We can attack by night, but their gates are strong, their walls stronger. We need somebody to get inside and open the gates. There are two options. You can either sneak in, or you can join the Iellusian Army. You will be stationed at that base, we know, because that base is severely undermanned, they are currently sending all recruits there. Thing is, they aren't getting many recruits," said Vana. "I'll take two, sneaking into a hardened fort isn't my idea of smart," said Wolfe. "It'll take about a week for them to train you," said Vana. "A week? It takes the Keraitian Army two months to train most recruits," said Wolfe. "You don't have VR simulators, with those, you become an experienced soldier in a week," said Vana. "Alright, I'll keep in touch," said Wolfe before leaving.
***
"Name?" asked the recruiting officer. "Albert Liasam," said Wolfe. "Your parents oldies?" asked the officer. "Yep," said Wolfe. "Thought so with a name like that, alright, report to VR chamber 3," said the officer. Wolfe walked down several hallways and entered a black chamber with green lines. "Now simulating Operation:Deathblow. A Keraitian battle against Olkun'ut forces and a mortal blow against Olkun'ut," said a female voice. Suddenly, the room around him turned into a warzone. Keraitian troops stormed the beach and Wolfe was holding a K-55 submachine gun. Wolfe decided not to do what he would've actually done, and instead acted as he had seen several novice soldiers in his time do, he ran with them screaming at the top of his lungs. A heavy machinegun bullet caught him in the shoulder and he fell to the ground, feeling the intense pain. He got up, holding his shoulder, and drew his pistol. As the battle progressed, it occured to Wolfe that the simulation wasn't accurate. The officers in command were different, and the beaches they landed at were also different, he didnt' care. All he cared about was his mission.
***One week later*** Private "Liasam" was assigned to Fort Unvar, and was given a SA-905 assault rifle, and a SS-56 pistol. He also had a small knife, just in case. He'd learned in his training that the tanks shot beams of pure energy from large energy generators inside of them. The generators were large, and they could not be used for small arms, so the small arms still used bullets. The navy also used energy weapons. The Iellusian Military also owned an EMP station in space that could strike anywhere in the Eastern Hemisphere at a moment's notice. Iellus was dangerous, but the EMP station could be used against them if their space control station at Fort Wadsworth was captured, then Kerait would be dangerous. The truck soon reached the Fort and Wolfe got out, along with two others, Privates Elvet Tubar, Revar Dunape, Hevl Areve, and Renna Vudes. "Welcome to Fort Unvar!" yelled Captain Hervan Yellavon, "You look like a fun bunch..." *** At midnight, Wolfe got out of bed silently and grabbed his weapons. He had thought out his plan the night before. He would first kill Captain Yellavon, he would then open the gates and let in the revolutionaries. Then, with a database full of information on modern weaponry, he would return to Kerait. Wolfe walked through the Fort, and after a bit of sneaking around, reached the Captain's room. He opened the door and crept up to his bed. The Captain was sleeping soundly, it would be his last sleep. Wolfe brought out his knife and cut the Captain's throat, he then walked out of the room and went to the gate control. It was guarded by two men who were casually talking over a midnight meal. Wolfe casually walked into the room, raised his pistol, and shot both in the head. He then opened the gate and left the room before he could be discovered. Thirty seconds later, the alarm went off, and shots were fired. Ten minutes later, the gunshots stopped and celebrations were heard. Wolfe walked out to greet the revolutionaries. They had suffered heavy casualties, only fifty were left. "We have won our first victory! We won!" yelled Vana, "And now, for our deal." "We agreed to one tank and a copy of the entire database," said Wolfe. "I'm afraid we can't do that," said Vana. "Why not?" asked Wolfe, casually and without losing his temper. "Because, we need every tank we can get, and it would be far profitable to kill you," said Vana. "Sorry, friend," said Batha. "No...I'm sorry," said Wolfe. Suddenly, from up above, two heavy machineguns began firing while another threw grenades at the revolutionaries, who were standing close to eachother. Within ten seconds, the revolutionaries were dead, and Wolfe walked from cover. Privates "Elvet Tubar", "Revar Dunape", "Hevl Areve", and "Renna Vudes" walked down several steps and Wolfe smiled. "I knew they would turn against me," said Wolfe. "At least now we get five tanks instead of one," said Dunape, whose real name was Frank Aevun. "True, go hack their database," said Wolfe. Within an hour, they were gone, and what was left was two hundred dead revolutionaries and a Fort full of dead soldiers.

Delran woke up in the afternoon. He put on his uniform and sword and left his room. He proceeded towards his office, but he remembered that he didn't knew the base and the location of his office. He looked for the first soldier or officer to ask him about the office of Colonel Tumar. He encountered one of the men from his old unit. The officer was glad to see his commanding officer and upon earing his request showed him to Colonel Tumar's office. Tumar wasn't expecting Delran to wake up so soon. So he was surprised to see him entering his office. "Sir!" he said standing up. "What can I do for you?" "Sit down Tumar. I just want to know where my office is and if the men are ready for inspection." "Sir, your office is at the second floor, one floor up, right below your room. The are all here and ready for inspection. Will call one in 3 hours." "Understood! Let me know. I'll be in my office!"
Wolfe’s men signaled to him as they approached the bridge. Wolfe then pulled out his radio and turned it to Fort Kerait’s frequency. “This is Admiral Howard Wolfe,” said Wolfe, “Let me across, I have some new toys for Septim.”
***
Septim was sitting in his office when a radioman walked in. “Chairman, Howard Wolfe is here, he has some strange looking tanks,” said the radioman. “Get General Delran Dark…” said Septim
Delran was inspecting his men and was pleased about what he was seeing when an officer came from the Command Center. "Sir, Chairman Septim want you to report to HQ! I didn't received any further info about this!" "Very well! Men, I am pleased with you. Centuria 1 will remain under my personal command, Centuria 2 and Centuria 3 will keep their leaders, Centuria 4 goes to Major Von Roch. Colonel Tumar is still my executive officer, while Colonel Sharpe is my aid! That would be all! All are dismissed but Centuria 1. I want six of you with men. Sergeant Brovkin, pick the men and bring 2 WarHummers at the gate in 5 minutes!" "Yes Sir! Alright men, move it! First squad with me!" Delran got into his vehicle, and within 20 minutes he was in front of Septim's secretary. "I was summoned by the Chairman." he said to the secretary.
Septim was pleased to see Delran enter his office. "Wolfe just returned, he completed his mission with flying colors!" said Septim with a smile, "We've got five tanks and an entire database of schematics, along with their tactical information. We also have five different Iellusian weapons, along with five Iellusian pistols."
"That is good! Now what do we do?"
"We start making our own of course! We can at last start building our navy, our army, and our air force. We need to mine some of the new ores on the list and begin our factories. It should take about two months to start production, and another two months to get enough to fight our enemy," said Septim, "Until then, we do covert operations, the Dragons will assault their Space HQ, and after taking that over, we will EMP several of their cities and factories. From there they will plant bombs in their key tank and jet factories..."
"Well that leaves me out of a job. What the hell do I do that time? And my Storm Riders?"
Ever since his birthday, he had joined the army on the side of the Keraitian people. He rised through the ranks until he reached Captain, and took part in many crucial battles. However, one day, he saw red alarms, and jumped into a cyrogenic pod jsut like his comrades had done. However, he woke up and got out long after everyone else got out. Since then, he and his father went back to old standards: nomadic lifestyle. He almost went back to being depressed all the time, when he found a report of a man. A picture was all that he needed to see. He began the expedition to find Septim.
***Present Day***
Cole was wearing his old uniform as he walked into Kerait City. The city looked wierd to him, but it had been a long time since he had seen any city. He walked on until he reached the building where he knew he would find Septim, a man recognized from the cyrogenics pods. He opened the doors and looked at a woman at a desk.
"Excuse me, but, is there a man named Septim here by any chance?"

[OOC: Nice to have you here, Arvious. Took you some time though.....]
[[I had to read through a LOT of posts in WarTorn and this one -_-]]
Through all of this time, Major Perkins did not let up in the training of his men. Their training regimens increased in skill and difficulty. Soon Dak's squad was one of the best trained in all of the Dragon Squads. He continued to wait until his squad was given a mission, eager to prove to all of the world. They would prove that they were the best of the best. His men could fight in all conditions and scenarios, and with all sorts of weapons. They were trained in basic use of vehicles and underwater assault. Hand-to-hand combat was in peak form and their accuracy was almost perfect. Only bad luck could hurt them now...
[[OOC: Arvious, the character from Wartorn is alive still if you'd like to use him, :-)]]
"I want you to lead the expedition force into Olkun'ut, we made three landing crafts instead of one, and two of them carry vehicles. We have two landing crafts, thirty men each. We'll have you and some of your Storm Riders on one, and two Dragon Teams on the other. I have chosen the Red Dragons and the Black Dragons for this mission," said Septim, "On the last two will be a transport truck and a WarHummer."
Dak was finishing up a training drill with his squad when a message arrived for him. Major Perkins, You and your team are one of the two selected for the Expedition into Olkun'ut. Prepare your team, the Expedition starts in two days. You are to board the landing crafts at Gateway Harbor. SIgned, Chairman James Septim Chairman of Kerait
Dak quickly gathered his men together. "Alright men, this could be the first possible combat any of us have seen in a long time. Let's do things just like we have trained. There is no reason why we should not be the most experienced men here. We were some of the first recruited into the Dragons and were the spearhead of many assaults in the past. We get the job done! Now get yourselves prepared because in two days, we move out!"
The men were dismissed and left for the barracks to prepare. Two days later they met at the landing crafts, pumped and ready for the expedition to set out.
The Black Dragons led by Major Brian Reynolds approached the craft with his ten men, all had an insignia of a Black Dragon on their arms and left chest. "Hey Perkins, how ya been?" asked Reynolds.
Dak took Major Reynold's hand and shook it strongly. "Never been better Reynolds...of course I am over a hundred years old so I do feel a tad stiff in the joints. Think we will see some action on this expedition, or do you think this will be just escort service? I was always used to the normal Special Forces missions before all this happened. I wonder what the future holds...?"
"The future is always unclear friend! But I sure hope those Iellusians aren't there, their tech is incredible. Ya never know, the Olkun'ut could be hostile, if they're alive," said Reynolds, "But I do know this, he's sending the best he's got, so he's not taking any chances."
Dak walked over to his landing craft with his menas they finished up their conversations with the Black Dragons. Dak shouted one last thing to Reynolds from his craft. "We are the best of the best...let's show any enemies that they shouldn't mess with the Dragons."
[[OOC: We're in the same craft...I'll just say you said your side of the craft...]]
"Hell yeah!" said Reynolds and several other Dragons, he then turned to his men. "Clean your guns and ready your minds!" he ordered before doing the same himself.
Delran approached the crafts and the Dragons followed by the first squad of Centuria 1. "Nice day for a landing, boys! How is the morale?"
[[Septim, I am using it. I came out of the pods after you all for some reason and thought you all were dead.]]
Dak and his men saluted General Dark as he moved by. "Sir, morale is off the chart. We are ready to do whatever is required of us."
[[OOC: Didn't read the whole post, got up to the Captain part before thinking "Hey...he wasn't a soldier..."]]
"We are ready, sir," said Reynolds as his men saluted High General Dark.
***
The four landing crafts went across the channel between Kerait Island and the Olkun'ut coast without any problems. The landing was less trouble than the landing over one hundred years ago, but the soldiers on the boats were just as cautious.
***
"Move out," said Reynolds. The Black Dragons walked out of the boat with their weapons at the ready.
As the landing craft reached the shore, Delran turned to Captain Akejer. "Take your men out! Establish a perimeter!" He then cried out to Majors Reynolds and Perkins. "Assemble on the beach to discuss the strategy we will be using for this mission!"
Dak and his squad came out of their landing craft with their weapons up and ready. They looked around and then the Red and Black Dragons gathered togethe Dak, his squad, and Reynolds gathered together. "Alright, there are small towns and villages around here. They are kind of like the Nukesville one so we need to search them all. I want to search, Ukunai, the capital first because it is probably the best place to search for survivors. General Dark, what do you think?"
"How do you know there are villages around here? We need to scout first," said Reynolds, "But I do agree, if there's any chance of a shelter, it'll be in Okanai...you approve, General?"
"Good thinking, Perkins! I see that you Septim knows how to pick his men! But the Olkun'ut did not had an atomic bomb and also did not knew how to protect themselves from it. And when we took their country we did not had enough time to build shelters here. Olkanai was a great city and we may found it rebuilt. Be we also need to scout for other setlements. Perkins, you and your men head north. Because you are the elite of the Keraits army, you will get the most dangerous part of this mission. Up north you may encounter Iellusian patrolls and outposts. The is also a chance that this land may be under Iellusian ocupation. Kill every one of their soldiers you may encounter and take their equipment and supplies. Reynolds, you go south! Same orders. Me and my men will head for Olkanai and scout the center of Olkun'ut. We must gain support of the inhabitants of this land. Do you agree with this plan?"
"Yes sir," said Reynolds. Reynolds made a gesture and his men followed. He ran up the beaches, and when he reached the forest, he began his walk South.
"Yes sir" Dak his squad moved swiftly up north. They had their weapons ready and moved swiftly through the forest.
"Hey! Wait! You forgot something! We have a few vehicles here! Nobody wants them?"
Reynolds picked his handheld radio from his belt. "Sir, if we use vehicles, we cannot go through the forests and we lose our stealth. They're louder than hell, you can have them," said Reynolds into the radio before going on.
Dak, listening to the conversation, added in his own little part. "The Dragons pride themselves on stealth, General. I would not like to lose the element of surprise because the Iellusians could have heavy vehicles too. Our own could be blown away and then they would move in on us. I prefer to get the jump on them without your vehicles. No offense intended of course."
[[Septim, you going to answer me sometime soon? -_-]]
"Very Well then. My men will take the vehicles!" Turning to his men he orders: "All right men, into the vehicles, our target is Olkanai! One WarHummer will be scouting ahead for the enemy! Remember this may be enemy territory so be careful!" The Storm Rider got into the vehicles and moved out from the beach in formation.
[[OOC: The lady is stalling you! ;-)]]
The woman reached under her desk to grab ahold of a gun, but she didn't pull it out. "Chairman Septim is in his office now, may I ask who you are?" asked the woman.
[[You trying to have me killed here? >_>]]
"My name is Captain Cole Reveritt. I served under Septim a while back. Could you arrange an appointment?"
[[OOC: No, she's just taking ahold of a pistol. That way, if you try anything, she can draw it and shoot you. A man coming in and asking for the Chairman of Kerait during wartime (or...while we're preparing for war) is not exactly normal...]]
"You can meet him now, though I'll need to scan you for weapons..." said the woman. A guard that was sitting in the corner of the room then got up and began frisking Cole. Afterwards, he turned to the woman. "He's got nothing," he said. "Escort him to see the Chairman," said the woman. The guard gave the woman a salute and escorted Cole to see the Chairman.
***
Septim was typing on his computer when the speaker buzzed. "Chairman, a Captain Cole Reveritt is on his way to see you, he is being escorted by Sergeant Dellevar," said Nancy. "Thank you," said Septim. A minute later, his door was opened by Sergeant Dellevar and Cole entered the room. "Hello Captain, I am Chairman James Septim, why are you here?" asked Septim.
After all these years, I never thought I would see anyone familiar other than Dad...
"Hello, Chairman," Cole said. "Sorry to interupt you, sir. I'm pretty sure you don't remember me, but I am Captain Reveritt from your army that took over the last of the Olkun'ut territory. I am hoping that I might serve on your side again... as long as you promise me not to jump into one of those pods again."
Cole laughed, something people didn't see very often.
"Ahhh, you must be one of the laties. A few of those pods malfunctioned a bit, opened a few days late, no big deal. I think I remember you, so I'll give you two choices. You can either gain command of your own platoon, or you can become a Dragon. Being a Dragon isn't easy, they're the elite, the best of the best. If you choose to join the Dragons, you will go through their standard training at the Dragon's Den. Make your decision now," said the Chairman.
Cole pondered what the chairman said. While he wantd to control soldiers, he didn't have what it took to be a leader. However, the Dragon training sounded promising. After a minute, Cole looked at Septim and began to speak.
"I'll become a Dragon."
"Alright, the Gold Dragons are down a member, so you'll be their new recruit. And according to Admiral Wolfe's report here, your father is currently alive, is that correct?"
[[I'm starting to pull a Samual, with these misspellings. -_-]]
"Yes, the report is accurate," Cole replied. "He was around the area of Hervel last time I was with him. What, did something happen to him?"
"No, of course not, I am willing to offer your family a house in Kerait City. Herval won't be safe when we begin fighting, and I don't want your father killed," said Septim.
It's all he has left...and it's also not good to have one of your elites in a depression...
'I accept the offer," Cole said. "Thank you for your kindness. So I don't use up anymore of your time, I'll just ask one question and go. Where will my training take place?"
"Fort Ollus, the "Dragon's Den", there you will meet the leader of the Gold Dragons, Captain Adam Wolfe, son of Admiral Howard Wolfe. I will call up a transport truck to take you there, we were about to send them a shipment of supplies anyway. Good luck, and when you get there, tell Adam that his dad's back. I don't think anybody has told him yet," said Septim with a smile.
"Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some business to attend to," said Septim. When Arvious left the room, Septim began working on battleplans to assault the Space Control Station.

"Is it done?" asked Emperor Marcus Iellus, he was running out of patience. "The parasite is almost complete, sir. Do you want me to explain what it does?" asked the lead scientist of Farville Facility. "Of course," said the Emperor. "In it's first stage, it merely infects. After growing and laying eggs inside the body, eventually the parasite will grow larger than the host's stomach. It will then climb out their mouth. From there it will find a safe spot to hide and continue growing until it is large enough to fight humans," said the lead scientist. "How big will it get?" asked the Emperor. "Depends on how long it's alive, it's can be up to fifty feet long," said the lead scientist. "We still need to kill it when this is over!" yelled the Emperor in rage. "Don't worry, we also developed a cure that can be put into weapons, as well as several bombs. The cure will kill any of the infected, it will also kill any parasites still alive," said the lead scientist. "Good," said the Emperor, "What will the parasite look like?" "In it's first stage, it will be a worm, the second stage will be a snakelike creature, and the third stage should be a lizard," said the lead scientist. "Alright, I want it introduced to the population of Nukesberg, from there it will spread to Kerait City," said the Emperor. "Yessir," said the lead scientist. I hate to do this, but it is required. They have two great tacticians, I had advanced technology. I was slow to act, and now I must use a weapon that wasn't on the archives, biological warfare...

[OOC: Who are those tacticians? :-) ]
