Hmmm...something happened on the last page...weird...
Seeing as I have no weapons for my men (I guess my men could just smash the hell outta them with their fists), I will have them pick up whatever they could find (sticks for infantry, stones for the rangers...). I don't want them attacking trade caravans until we have archers, so I want them to instead sneak up on merchant camps at night and kill them in their sleep.

Demonsul had heard the news. The armies of the world were out, villages were stirring, towns were arming, and some of the cities were already marching. It was time to move up. Spending no time waiting, Demonsul gathered a hundred men and bought them each a steel axe. With their new weapons in hand, the group split into three armies. Two of 25 each went out to ambush passing merchants in the nearby hills, and 50 men stayed home, training. They would be at hand if the city was attacked.
- 100 steel axes bought
- 2 groups of 25 infantry sent out to ambush merchants
- 1 group of 50 infantry staying home to defend village
|
I guess I have to put the specifics as to what I am going to do...
- Army split into four groups - Three groups will be sent to covertly slaughter merchants in their sleep. - One group will stay at my village.

[OOC: How did Gilth had 200 gold?]

[I figured you start with 100 and you earn 100 from your village. Only used 90, so it can easily be corrected if I was incorrect]

...okay SIR Gilth...multi? XD

[Heheh, oops.. Yeah, Batur is the same guy as me.. Wanted to play, though didn't want my history to get all messed up with tons of deaths without a story (already have 2 or 3). So Gilth is staying dead till the end of the era and I play with Batur to kill the time.]

[[Hmm..admin,delete that second post I dunno how that happened..AND BOW MASTER YOU BRAT YOU NEVER SIGNED UP NOW GO AWAY]]

Right, all the travelling will take one day for the armies to reach the various places. Gilth, you don't earn 100 gld the first day, that was supposed to be the gold earned, sorry I didn't make that clear. Dethos, just so you know, on your group of islands, the small one down south of it is separate. So basically, anything of interest will start tomorrow(1 day is not exactly 1 real day, I'll just post at some stage during the day. Now... the mounts. The prices are per mount. You need mounts for your cavalry and ranged cavalry(they can act as regular infantry and archers without them. Don't worry, horses and such are fairly cheap. You can also take any living enemy mounts after you've defeated them)
Mounts:
Horses(all of them are pretty much the same, a fairly average horse able to carry a man in a suit of armour) - 20 gold.
Ponies(usually used by halflings and dwarfs, but other can use them. Slower but sturdier than the horse) - 15 gold.
Camel(better in the desert than horses and other mounts. They're slightly slower and weaker than horses) - 15 gold. Warg(a large wolf, very vicious and tough to control. I'm sticking it in here because it isn't rare in this world. Frighten horses and beings) - 2,000 gold Elephants(frighten the enemy troops. Can be panicked(so can other mounts, for that matter) and deal massive damage to either their own or enemy troops.) - 3,000 gold. Mythical creatures - These are very rare, and you won't be often able to buy them, if ever. But you might be able to defeat one and tame it. Rocs(A huge bird, slightly smaller than the elephant, capable of flight. Are ferocious, and unpredictable.) - 25,000 gold. Griffin(Half lion, half eagle. Can fly. About half the size of an elephant, but are easy to control unlike the roc) - 20,000 gold Dragon(a huge creature, slightly bigger than a whale(a big one, a blue whale or the like), flies, and breathes fire.) - 200,000 gold Wyvern(a small dragon, about the size of a man, does not breath fire and has only two legs and wings.) - 10,000 gold Pegasus(a flying horse, isn't very agile in the air like a wyvern though) - 10,000 gold Cerberus(3 headed dog, very vicious and fairly big) - 6,000 gold
I think that's enough.

Alright, time... time... 7 o'clock GMT ok?(I'll post at around five -
six generally. If anyone posts during that time, I'll add them in
another post or the same one)
Hirgon, that's fine, anyone can sign up until this is over.
I won't bother getting you to post details about attacking merchants,
they're small groups. Unless they're travelling in bigger groups than
usual(anything higher than 30)
Now, nobody has attacked anyone yet, the armies have just finished
their travelling, any attackingbe tomorrow's. Anyone that has posted
the next day, don't post again(until after my post tomorrow). That
includes you Hirgon(sorry, technically you posted before the next day,
but sorry) None of you have attacked anyone yet, but you will tomorrow,
most likely. Just buy any weapons or troops you might want.

Electric, you can't decide what you get. I'm not even going to comment on the stupidity of that.
Delran, six infantry were lost in the first army(1 group, 24 merchants)
, and three in the second(1 group, 22 merchants). You got 290 gold, one camel and one horse.
Adrastos, eight infantry
were lost in the first army(Derront/village)(2 groups, 26 merchants, 14 merchants). No
troops were lost in the second, but they are now awaiting orders
whether to ambush a group of merchants(sea/mountains)(32 merchants) or not. Your
troops are on the mountain, hiding about 20 metres away behind scree,
and the merchants are in a circle having a meal, goods to one side,
oblivious to the troops. It is noon, a clear day. You've got 240 gold
so far, and one pony and one horse.
Electric, two infantry and one archer were lost in the first army(north
river)(1 group, 16 merchants) and three infantry were lost in the
second(south river)(1 group, 20 merchants). You got 310 gold and one pony.
Sinthoras, twelve
infantry were lost in the first
army(Poloston/villages)(1 group, 26 merchants(you were rather unlucky
in that they were well prepared for the aattack)) and four infantry in
the
second(town/villages)(1 group, 19 merchant). The Duke(probably the
wrong title, but I'm using King for the capital, Duke for cities, Lord
for towns, and errr... Sir(knight) for villages.) of Poloston laughs in
the archer's face, saying that the king is in Fortress Zeta. He mused a
while, though, and finally said "The king has sent out a quest(this is
to EVERY one of you) to all people, there are groups of wargs, of
around fifty spread out around the land. I wouldn't go looking for them
though, they'll find you, much to your misfortune. Anyone who brings a
skull to the king will be rewarded with three hundred coins to each
one. However(this is to Sinthoras alone), if you bring me an elephant,
which I would dearly like to see, it is said they are rare beasts,
found more often in the south. I do not know where you might find one
however, be I am a patient man. Here is a hundred gold for your
troubles." Your scouts find 450 people roughly in the village(remember,
this can change with time) You have got(this always includes everything
you got after each of my posts, so this includes the hundred gold, the
only exception is your income each day, which you keep track of) 420
gold and one horse.
Demonsul(you are on day
two, sorry, about 40 minutes(late today, didn't realise this would take so long) after this post it will be day
three), three infantry were lost in the first army(1 group, 14
merchants) and five infantry in your second army(1 group, 21
merchants). Your second group have seen a band of poorly armed
bandits(40) attacking
a group of merchants(26, poorly armed also). They are awaiting orders
as to whether to attack or not. You've got 280 gold and two ponies.
Dethos, 2 infantry and
one horse were lost in the first army(1 group, 18 merchants) and 6
infantry were lost in the second(1 group, 17 merchants). You got 320
gold and two ponies.
Septim(same as
Demonsul, day two), I'm taking each group to be a quarter of your
troops, 4 infantry lost in the first army(1 group, 18 merchants), 6
infantry lost in the second(1 group, 24 merchants), 1 archer and three
infantry lost in the third(1 group, 23 merchants). A small army of
twenty men, armed with iron short sword and steel bucklers are
attacking you. Every village/town/city has walls, villages having high
wooden fences, towns and cities have stone walls, cities with bigger
ones, and the walls are fairly circular. They've come because they
heard news that you attacked a group or merchants, but they are unsure.
You can either try and talk your way out of it or prepare your
defences. If you unsure how to do this, just ask me. You got 360 gold
and one pony.
Gilth, your army lost three infantry(2 groups, 25 merchants, 17 merchants). Your army came across the remains of a large group of merchants, and they took the gold left. They soon found out at the cause of the destruction, wargs. They come running from the east, one score and ten(thirty). They await orders, but must mount a hasty defence or retreat. It's pretty much in the open, and at the falling of the night, it is still bright for about half an hour. You got 370 gold and two horses. Hirgon(not yet has the day past... This is your first day), your armies have just finished travelling.
Any of you have taken an extra day, I can take that as your next day tomorrow, or you can make any adjustments you want. I am going easy on your so far, but I'm advising you not to make any small armies(this is for you to judge the size of) as armies are now starting to travel around to try and protect these merchants(admittedly proving very ineffective, but they'll kill a few bandits, perhaps). I'd appreciate if you kept note of where your troops are in your posts(sorry, it's a bit of a pain in the ass going back over the page).

And for any off time with their GMT(greenwich mean time) It is now 18:25(maybe a minute of two off) GMT, in half an hour the day will pass, at each day it will start at 19:00 GMT.
