MP - 30 / 50 | ||||
Plato was watching this, hoping the undead were as weak as they looked. The dinjini quickly got rid of four of the undead and was able to blind the last one. The demon quickly summoned 5 more and looked weaker than before. If it kept doing this, the demon would die, and the professor would win...
Sorry, didn't finish. The demon wouldn't kill itself by casting too
much magic, they aren't as stupid and determined as humans... *The undead crumbled before the djinni, but the demon had much more power left, and spread darkness all over the place with Darkness Spell, level 4. It lasted for several minutes, about 10, and went it cleared 3 of the djinni were gone, destroyed by the demon most likely. The man that had summoned the demon surprised eyeryone, most of all the professor, by casting Thunderbolt, level 1 at one of the demons, and it fell, and then the demon changed into a strange form, Killer couldn't see what exactly, it was over so quick, but it had destroyed the djinn. Only one remained. It was a djinn of light, and casted an Illusion, level 2, to create an image of the demon itself, and it was momentarily confused, and the professor pounced on this opportunity to cast Fireball, level 3, at the demon, which came at it unexpected and to serious results. The djinn cast a ray of light, level 1 at the demon, which was to much for it, and it was destroyed, reduced to dirt. The man didn't look worried. He raised 5 undead beings, large as a horse, with Necromancy, level 5. They looked sort of like deer of some kind. They galloped towards the djinn, and destroyed it with their butting of antlers. They then galloped at the professor, who looked worried. He cast Earthquake, level 3, and Killer noticed it didn't affect outside of the duelling ring, and it trembled the earth noticeably in the ring. The professor managed to stay upright, but the undeda beings fell, one destroyed with the force of it's head thrown at the ground, and the man tumbled to the ground. But the undead were hardy creatures, and ran at the professor, two managing to get to him, and butted him. The professor lay on the ground helpless, and he asked for mercy. The undead seemed to disappear back into the ground from which they were called, apart from one, and the man stood triumphant. The cheers and congratulations were half-hearted, the professor had been beaten. The man mounted the skeleton, and rode off, and the professor stood up. "That, was the mighty Xeraphrus Xeranexus. That will be the last we see of him for a while after that trouncing of me, I'm afraid. He is a mighty opponent though. However, for now, how would you like to know how to summon an imp?," he grinned mischievoulsy. He led them off to another room, the Summoning room, though you could do it anywhere, it was liked to be noted. He showed them how to summon a level 1 imp, with two basic circles drawn on the ground, one for him and one for the imp, with no designs in the circles. He explained that they got a lot more complicated as the imps, then djinni, and demons got harder to summon. He said that they would summon an imp each of their element of choice, a level 1 one for now only, tomorrow. But, they would have to learn about them beofre they could summon them. He explained some of the history of some, and how they lived in a different sort of place until they were summoned, and when they had being dismissed, nothing being known about that place, as the imps/djinni and demons could not speak of it, the only command they could not obey. They were tricky things, and you had to get the image on the ground perfect, otherwise, though you might not die, the imp or djinn or demon might not be under your command and could kill you, but that was unlikely, you could usually overcome one, at least until level 50 djinni and up. The incantations had to be right, but would not be met with such disastorous results to fail, only that the summoned creature would not be summoned at all, until you went over the incantation again, from start to finish. You couldn't summon a imp/djinn/demon of a higher level than you at all. He went through some more stuff, about their behaviour and stuff, but not much of that interested Killer, he went off slightly bored when they finished to eat and go to bed. He had however, remembered exactly the shapes imps(only one other form) djinni and demons could take on(which I will tell you in the next post, I hope) perfectly, and wondered when he could summon one powerful enough to change their shapes...*
Plato was sad that the professor lost. Despite his defeat, he went through the rest of the day as though there was no duel. Demonsul, Killer and Meowman went to sleep easily. Plato, however got to sleep hard, because of the rain beating on the window. He wondered if Killer would accept a friendly duel with him, to see how well they have done in magic. Plato went to the calender and saw the date. [Note: This is not the actual date, It's just a fake date for the game.] Six more days until Halloween. "Ugh, isn't that when they bring a ghost and vampire to the school?" Plato thought. Plato went to bed and fell asleep...
Imps start off like small little 1 foot humans, but sort of more squat and ugly(generally...), with a small pair of wings, and sort of radiate their elements, but have so special abilites from them(Apart from that they can fly with their wings) and are mainly used as spies. Djinni are bigger then, but can take the form of an imp or the same elements(or all, for a djinn of all elements) and are basically the same. Demon are bigger then again, and can take the from of the imp and djinn of it's element, but are pretty much the same, though more muscular and they have two horns on their heads, for some unexplainable reason... Perhaps to do with their dominance, you can see tiny horns on djinni if you look really careful. Imps/djinni/demons of no particurlar element, or all elements of you think of it that way, can take the forms of any of the others, then levels below them. It doesn't affect them much to shape-shift, unless they are hurt, it can be difficult then, and take a strain. Imps/djinni and demons do not need to eat, not even in their animal form, and if I say an animal is carnivorous, I am merely trying to say it has certain adaptation to allow it to hunt, usually sharp teeth and claws. They have their own senses in the animals' forms, which is all the five ordinary senses like humans, only better. It is possible to spot an out of place animal which is in fact an imp or djinn or demon(I'm getting fed up having to say all three) but usually they fit in pretty well. They can cast spells in other forms, only not as well. Just so you know, you can't control what spells the imps/djinni/demons cast, only tell them what to do, and they'll do it the best way they think. I'll tell you also how rare or common the actual animals are. V. Common, Common, Average, Rare, and V. rare. You'll be expected to know some real animals, and if you don't, well... It'll depend on the element anyway, light won't have real creatures, water probably will. Light Imps, level 21 - Spinkle(Common. A little mammal-like creature(1/2 metre long), which shines brightly with light, and glows in darkness. Cannot swim or fly, just run along on ground) Djinni, level 41 - Light-fish(Average. A small fish(10 cm) that glows brightly, and swims in the sea, incapable of going by anywhere but sea.) Djinni, level 61 - Sprukle(Common. A sort of evolved sprinkle, which has wings to fly with, and is bigger(2 metres), and is carnivorous towards Spinkle, and eats small birds and lizards with it's sharp teeth. It can also swim fairly well and run across land.) Demons, level 81 - Ligunus(Rare. A huge reptile(4 metres long, two high), incapable of flying, swims poorly,(odd since it's a reptile) sort of like a crocodile, but has a shorter snout, and a longer tail, and is higher off the ground and more sleek and quick. Also glows with light. Has spikes all down it's centre back. Sharp teeth and vicious claws. Demons, level 100 - Octirgulus(Very Rare. A huge beast, sort of a mixture of all types of animals, apart from insects. Illuminates very brightly. Is big(10 metres high, 1 metres wide) Stands upright. No tail, eight limbs, 4 of which it stands on, the other four have sharp claws and are used to kill things. Sharp teeth two. Has a sort of rhino's head, with 5 horns along it's snout. Has big wings, which it tucks up when not flying. Can swim badly. I'm afraid I've changed my mind, I'll be doing it in smaller posts :S
Halloween? October 31st? Errmmmm... ok, I suppose so...
[You want to get to the second year before Christmas?] [This is so wrong! You said we could summon a level 1 imp!!!!!]
You can summon an imp, tomorrow. You won't be able to summon a level 21 imp for quite a while...
Revenge is sitting outside under the moonlight
Verthias came out of the storm. A whirling, shredding icy fury was slicing at the ground all around him, with hailstones being physically lifted off the ground and ripping gouges into the floor - but Verthias was unscathed. He'd always had a good affinity with water, and ice in particular. His silently glowing eyes penetrated the storm and saw a haven of light and warmth: from where he was alone, he could see dozens of hearts, thumping away, their siren song calling to him. As he staggered into the school, his face masked to conceal the horror beneath, he noticed that it was a school of magic. Working on the principle of the beehive, he stole a student's uniform and snuck into the school. He was always willing to learn more magic... MP - 45 / 50 60-4-5-6-7-8-9-10 for water, 19 points left 19-4-5-6 for energy, 4 points left 4-4 for darkness, 0 points left. Those 60 points were from the past 3 days that you lot had accumulated, before you ask.
Verthias chose the room in which he would reside. It was small, a single-bedded one - small enough that noone else would lodge there with him. He extended his conciousness for a minuite to check there were no traces of someone's temporary residence there... there were not. He realized that the money to pay for his new education would have to come from somewhere. He slunk down into the town, walking straight through the gate rather than mantling the wall, as last time. He found a merchant who dealt in perishable food goods, who was losing a lot of money to spoilage from the temperature during the day, and secured an agreement with him to lower the temperature with [Freezing Spell Level 1]. This, he thought to himself as he chilled the storage room to below freezing, would be mutally benificial, as he could get practice in with his spells as well. MP is now at 39 rather than 45, will be reduced by 6 every day on top of the 20 lost from lessons. [P.S. Hint, hint. Do I get some kind of water-magic bonus for this job? Say, a reduction of the cost of improving my water magic; the cost doesn't equal the level you're upgrading it to, but the level you're upgrading it from.] [P.P.S. Substite 'merchant' for 'farmer' if there are none in the area. *rolls eyes*]
Demonsul | ||||
Light - 3 | ||||
Revenge also wanted something to do on days where he had little schooling, he headed to town, not many things around at the time [[ Is it ok if I work at the farm ^^ ]]
Ok... 20 points again... Killer MP - 50/50 Light - 4 Darkness - 3 Fire - 3 Water - 3 Earth - 3 Wind - 3 Energy - 3 Healing - 11 Mind - 6 Items - None Imps/djinni/demons - NonePoints left - 1
Yes, you can work on the farm, but you don't work on Sundays. You have
whatever jobs you want, just say them, I'll see if I allow it. Yes, you
can work as a food merchants assistant and farmer, and probably any
other job you can think of... as long as they aren't stupid. I don't know how you managed to make the room less than 0 degrees celsius... Usual room temperature is 20 degrees or so, the room might have been a bit colder than usual, maybe 10 degrees. 5 degrees celsius would be enough to keep the room cool enough for food anyway, same temperature as a fridge.
*Killer strode down to the summoning hall, eager with excitement. It was time to summon an imp, even if it was a mere level 1 imp, able to cast only a single spell... Once there he saw he was not the first, one of the last probably. There was several hundred crowded around, and they said they could only have around two hundred summoning at one time, and summoning a level 1 imp didn't take too long anyway. There were already circles all around the floor, 2 to a person, one for the imp, one for the human. Killer went off and got breakfast, and would go later in the day. He just took some books from the library about imps, the first few levels of ones, and read them. It was very interesting. He went to the hall after a while, just in time to get in with the next batch of students. He drew his circles with chalk, the others having been cleaned off earlier, they could only be used once, though if an imp wasn't summoned at first you could try again. It only took around an hour, to draw the circles(absolutely perfectly with some tools, about a metre of a radius for his and 1/2 metre radius for the imp. He then chanted the incantation to summon the imp, he had memorised it perfectly, and summoned a level 1 healing imp. He was pretty pleased that he did it so well. He wandered off then, imp following, having been binded and would be in his control until he died or released it. The professor had said they would be learning how to summon imps/djinni and demons in magic lore class, and what they were like, so Killer thought that would be interesting...*
Killer MP - 45/50 Light - 4 Darkness - 3 Fire - 3 Water - 3 Earth - 3 Wind - 3 Energy - 3 Healing - 11 Mind - 6 Items - None Imps/djinni/demons - Level 1 healing imp. Points left - 1 Job - Farm worker
MP - 26 / 50 Job: Merchant's Assistant 20-11 for water 9-7 for energy 2 points left over Presumably, I would have cast [Freezing spell level 1] several tiems to acheive a temperature beneath 0'. And true, 5' would do fine. I'll cast it twice instead. So, do we get some kind of bonus for using our spells? You did mention earlier that you could review a spell for extra skill points every day.
Verthias watched, unseen, from the shadows high above the summoning hall. He watched the teeming hordes of ants below, and the weak flares of magic as they summoned puny imps. He noticed one that seemed stronger, less faltering than the others, and focused on him, ignoring all the other noises and sights in the hall. He saw the interesting summoning procedure, and listened to the incantation to summon the imp. This might be worth investing in, he mused, as he checked the time from the sun. It was time for the cursed light class, he saw, and spat. It hit someone far below, who turned and looked up in surprise, but Verthias was long since gone.
Revenge who had been following Killer, took Killer's summoning spot after Killer had gone
[Who wants duel today with me?] Plato summoned a level 1 light imp, which was actually quite playful than it looks. He put the imp in a gunnysack and put it on his shoulder. He wondered what would happen if he was in duel. He walked around, asking anyone whom he saw... Verthias slunk along past the duelling rooms, and took a moment to observe the scuffle within one of them. With a contemptous sneer, he watched the low-level magics that both of the students were throwing at each other, mere drops in the ocean compared to the the juggernauts of magical power that he had directed, long ago. As a cloud of darkness was summoned by one of the combatants, he was reminded of the time he'd blacked out the skies of an entire world, and doomed the whole population of billions. He clenched his arm, trying to feel the strength soaked into the bone through oceans of blood. It wasn't there, he knew. His destruction in that godsforsaken battle had crippled him: it had taken a thousand years to claw his way back into full life. With a quick scan of their injuries, and a probe into their magical energies, he could tell that one obviously had the upper hand, yet was on about the same skill level as the other. He mused that both of them would be worthless in a fight afterwards, no matter the outcome, and weighed up the pros and cons of draining them. He decided against it - he had fed already, and he had little desire to draw more attention to himself in his weakened form. One of the other students, Demonsul, one of those who had excelled in the Darkness classes, had been looking at him very oddly. Perhaps his mental fogs were weakening, he mused, and quickly overviewed his innate abilities. No breach. Perhaps he was merely being paranoid. Verthias chuckled, and suddenly ducked into the shadows as a globe of light came bobbing around the corner, following one of the teachers. He instinively wove a shield of pure darkness in front of him to protect himself from the accursed light. The teacher wandered past, and Verthias slipped down behind him, continuing on his way... [By the way, for ease of reading... when you cast a spell, can you say what the spell is, for example: Revenge makes an [Earth Shield] quickly. Makes it easier to recognise, you know? :P]
[ Yer I think I will do that in future ^^ ]
[*^__^*] [This post is offically sp@m] *Verthias casts [De-sp@mmification, level 5], and fails.* Humm... it's better to type it all out, with the [Earth Shield] colourless first, then colour it. Or don't colour it at all... to avoid having to type in white, which you can't see. And mispell a lot of things.
Yer, I noticed that | ||||
Errr... some new students are accpeted into the school just so you know, now and again while the school is being made bigger... Ummm... about that duel... I'm supposed to say what happens after a couple of spells, otherwise you'll just be battling for ever, or someone will try to fini*beep* some stupid way... Besides, you're already using too strong of magic. E.g. [Telenkinesis level 1], at your level, Revenge, picks up small things, wouldn't be able to pick up a boy/man/woman/girl. Maybe cat or something. I can't really say anything about that duel, it's a bit wild and out of control...
But a tornado the size of a dog can still pick up a small chunk of earth... And if Killer was ref, I wouldn't have a broken leg. Nad we wouldn't be at 5 and 7 mana. Lets start over. *borrows Demonsul's time powers and goes to the first move. I cast a tornado the size of a dog...
[[ I said some Earth.... nothing big is it? no, I said it chucks him a coule of yards, I ment like it made him stuble back like, ^_^
but 5 tornados can make someone dizzy, but I'm not gonna waste it this time.
[[ lol, your leg wouldnt be like broken... my hand wouldnt be like red-raw and on fire lol
Um, I was still standing and your hand is 'well done' Okay *pants* who wants to duel with Killer as ref?
