The Stormborn: Evomort Isles | ||||
---|---|---|---|---|
Arvious, now perfectly fine, says, "We should wait until we reach the far side. It will take a while, but we will catch them off guard rather then be spotted in the most predictable area to land." | ||||
{Ermm... I guess I and the three guys with me magically teleported off the island with the guys the Dark Elves captured and were going to sacrifice in an elaborate ceremony that would have made a cool plot point? *Broad Hint.*} | ||||
Ernie was walking on the deck when Erunion and his team suddenly flew into a pile of feathers and were back on the ship.... "How the hell...." | ||||
[[OOC: I meant that you could come up with an explanation as to why you are back on the ship...I just needed to continue the story...]] | ||||
[[OOC: Tell the flashback after you return to the ship on how you got back]] =p | ||||
Arvious goes back to the room Septim was tied up in. "Hello, Septim? How are you feeling?" Arvious said ,hoping Septim wasn't still loopy. | ||||
Ant suddied that map carefully and said they would arrive behind the island in 1 day. After doing that he studdied Septim, and when he saw Arvious he said "i think he will get better, but it could take a while" | ||||
"Think, could!?! I want's positive answers on this. This son of a *beep* has been through the 13 seas, and hell knoiw what else he did, so tell, is he going to be okay?" | ||||
"the curse of the dark elves is very strong, and the power of the junbl is strong, and i am not trained as a medic. I am trying my best" ant paused for a second then continued "as we move further for the Junbl the chance he will get better increses, he looks like he is getting better but this is the first time i have ever seen this happen" | ||||
As Septim lays in bed, he dreams, he dreams of an old man in a prison cell with cloaked man standing above him, the old man stands up, bravely, as the cloaked man stabs a blade through his chest. He then dreams of a castle, sieged by many dark men, led by the cloaked man, he then dreams of a long war, ending with the death of a great man...and then he wakes up to see Arvious standing next to his bed. "Arvious...get me some mead..." | ||||
Ant rushes out of the cabin yelling "HE'S CURED". Ant was happy that he help same the captain but is worried about the dream he was told about. Ant went back to sailing the boat now that no other people were need to be looked after. | ||||
"Thank the Gods! He has his senses back - he had not drunk any ale in days..." | ||||
Septim walks out holding a staff for support, he grabs the mead bottle, pulls the cork out, and begins drinking. He drinks the whole thing... "That's better", says Septim. "Now, we're at the bandit fortress, so lets bring out the ballista and show them what happens when they take an Emperor!" | ||||
"Welcome back Septim," Arvious said as he handed Septim the mead bottle. Thanks ZeTa he's alive... | ||||
Ernie gets to his station and would have to congratulate Septim on not losing his mind forever | ||||
Septim walks to the front of the ship, already he can start to feel strength return to his body, but not anywhere near what he had before the accident. He begins directing the ship towards the bandit fortress, and when he gets the ship in range he shouts, "Fire!" The ballista fires and the missile zooms at the base, it goes with such force as to splinter apart one of their three catapults. Septim continues directing the ship, and after avoiding two catapult projectiles they launch another ballista missile. It lands with pinpoint accuracy, destroying the second catapult. The third catapult hits the mast of the Stormborn, and Septim curses. "Almost perfect", he mutters, the ballista hits the final catapult, and after exausting the ballista's missiles, and losing many arrows, the melee crew lands led by Ragnarr Stormguard and Erunion Telcont*beep*ptim stays towards the rear, not in any condition to fight, but he wouldn't let anybody tell him otherwise. *** Septim trips an enemy with his staff and cuts his throat with his longsword, he smashes another's face and ducks under a blow. After smashing the bandit's face with the bottom of his staff he knocks him out with the other end. Septim continues walking, using both his staff and his longsword in battle. | ||||
It was just not Ernie's day....he had been on the top of the mast...in his usual observation spot....when suddenly it gets snapped off in the middle part and Ernie went flying with the top part into the water. Ernie then waded to shore....wet as a drowned rat...and began firing arrows at the people responsible. He then drew his sword and cut a man's head off....and then proceeded to fire arrows and dismember parts of people while walking steadily through the enemy. In short...he was pissed | ||||
Ragnarr rushed ahead of the rest, as always, and made a strong slash across the guts and bellies of three unfortunate enough to be there rogues. Gushes of blood covered the northman's armor and weapon - his greatsword. | ||||
*Killer gets fed up with all this fighting while he's trying to prepare meals. He wallops a few enemies with his stick over the head while trying to prepare some trout. The bones are a bit annoying. One of them nearly stabs him in the side, and he whacks him over the head with the fish, which proceeds to slip from his grasp and hit another. He fetches the trout, figuring the hot water will clean it. Killer then gets his cutting knife, and stabs a couple of them, but he i*beep* by someone with a plank, and knocked unconscious. Odd, he thought, before he passed out, they had perfectly decent swords.* | ||||
Erunion, still shaken by his experience in the jungle, charges into battle. His sword leaves cauterized, fiery wounds wherever it strikes, and many a man falls to a fireball. | ||||
Arvious ran into battle with is sword and staff drawn out, whether slashing or using spells or just hitting men in the head, Arvious was trying to thin the nubers around him. Then suddenly, a man walked through the battle, and Arvious looked at his face... "Bloody hell, I know that face..." | ||||
Ernie was in a bloodwrath. He put his sword away and stuck to his bow. He was spinning, rolling, and continually firing arrows as close as a foot away from enemies with swords and perforating them with arrows. He was firing off arrows with blinding speed and none stood in his path. Thick armor was pierced. Strong weapons were no use. Speed was outmatched. No one could get close to Ernie and he would not stop killing until he was dead. | ||||
"The gates are breeched!" yellled Ragnarr over the noise and terror of the battle. He finished off his current opponent with a finsihing hack, going into the rogue's shoulder and down to his chest, and rushed towards the broken gates, where Erunion's elves were now in their bloody sword dance - that was how it looked, they used their weapons with such grace and swiftness, it was as if they were not fighting, but dancing. | ||||
*Twang* Another arrow went into the throat of another rogue. Ernie continued marching towards the gates, paying little attention to the small wounds he recieved so far. He felt no pain....no fatigue....He only felt the rage building up inside of him. He fired arrow after arrow and none of them missed their mark. Enemies began running away from him after seeing the look in his eyes. His eyes were burning reddish orange...like fire. Ernie then ran out of arrows. He then pulled out his sword and sliced a rogue clean in half. He then took off anothers head and continued unaffected towards the gates.....never letting up...never tiring* | ||||
Septim smashes a bandit's face in with the bottom of his staff and stabs him through the chest with his sword, he then leaves the sword in the bandit and pulls out his spatha. He slashes another's throat and trips another with his staff, he cuts his throat as well before seeing a battleaxe coming down at him, he puts his staff up to block and the axe enters the staff and chops it in half, but Septim had already rolled to the side, he stabs his spatha into the bandit's leg and cuts off his head. Septim looks down at his staff before pulling his longsword out of the other bandit's chest. He cuts a bandit's head off before finding that Ernie has an enemy sneaking up behind him. Septim then draws a dagger and throws it, it zooms towards the enemy and the hilt hits him in the face, the enemy falls to the ground with his nose bleeding before Ernie notices him and cuts his throat (sorry! :D). Septim then blocks a sword and stabs his spatha through an enemy while blocking another slash from another enemy with his longsword, he then turns, kneels, and stabs his spatha through the enemy. Septim rises to see two enemies charging him with spears, he ducks and the enemies plow their spears into eachother. Septim then rolls forward and rises, he turns to see the battle is over. Septim wipes the blood from his face and approaches Ragnarr. "I am going to check the prisons for the Emperor, you get our wounded taken care of, kill the wounded bandits", said Septim. Septim runs to the prison to see an old man sitting on a stone block in the corner of the room. Septim walks over to the desk, grabs the key, and unlocks the prison door. "Emperor?", asked Septim. The Emperor, startled, turns to see a blood covered Septim. "Well hello there Duke!", says the Emperor. "We've come to rescue you", says Septim. "I'm sure you have, well, lets go", says the Emperor as he rises, Septim hands him a cane and they begin walking to the Stormborn. | ||||
Ernie stood among the dead.....finally exhaustion and the result of his wounds set in. He stumbled several more steps towards the gate. And felt himself falling foward into darkness...and he knew no more. | ||||
Erunion stood in the ruin of the gate, splinters were everywhere, many still smoldering and some still burning. | ||||
It was a dirty job, but it had to be done. The wounded rogues had their throats cut, ending them with no further butchery. | ||||
mean while ant look after the ship and organised a party to repare the mast sense the battle was over | ||||
Meanwhile Ernie was in a coma. He was placed in his room to heal. There was no sign that he would wake up. | ||||
Septim walks into Ernie's quarters to find his master marksman in a coma. "Me insane, now Ernie's in a coma, this doesn't look good...", says Septim. Septim walks to the captain's quarters, where the Emperor is staying, to find the Emperor gone, he looks around the ship and finds no trace of him. Septim runs into the fort and continues searching. He finds the Emperor, dead with a stab wound in his chest, in the prison. Septim walks close and feels for a heartbeat, but feels none. Septim finds a book by his side, but doesn't understand the letters. Septim begins searching for the assassin, but he doesn't find him. He then picks up the Emperor's body and starts walking back to the ship. | ||||
Arvious stood at the side facing the island. He saw an.., recognizable person there, and knew he saw him. He did not know whether he got a good look at my face, but Arvious still wants to put as much space between Evomort Isles and himself. After staring at the island for a while, he goes to check on Ernie. "Damn, why do all the illnesses happen to us? Ant, use this potion I kept in my backpack, it should help with his coma. And Septim, before you start and say, 'Why didn't you use that on me!?!, it doesn't work for insanity and things like that." | ||||
"I wasn't going to ask that...", says Septim, "There are rather large differences between going insane and going into a coma...even I know that..." | ||||
Ant studies the bottle to make sure it will work "looks ok" he poured to liquid into his mouth and a plant, he had found on the ship, that he knew would help he placed into the mouth as well. Anfter he was confident he could do nothing else for enrie he walk to the deck and saw that the crew were bringing a long tree trunk back to the ship to be a mast he commented; "good, we will be able to sail tomorrow" | ||||
The Stormborn begins a long voyage back, stopping a few times for food and water, but they make sure not to visit the Dark Elven island again. As the Stormborn reaches the main continent, a fleet is seen on the horizon. Eastern ships, a massive fleet of at least five hundred ships, all heading towards the Stormborn, but as Septim looks the other way, he sees a massive coalition of western frigates and northern longships. Septim steers towards the western and northern longships and makes sure to put up his western flag. As Septim reaches the flagship, Admiral Hussius waves his hat at them. "Well, if it isn't Duke Septim! The famous western sea voyager! Well! It seems as if you arrived at the right time, two days after you left, the East delivered a declaration of war, we've been fighting land battles, their land troops aren't as advanced as ours, but they have been researching better ships, we've had to enlist the help of the north and their longships", says Hussius. "Well, our ship is yours, where is Rufus by the way?", asks Septim. "I'm afraid he died two days ago of the Hosoda virus...speaking of which, you were sent to find the Emperor, where is he?", asks Hussius. "He...he is dead", says Septim. Hussius looks down at the waters sadly, then looks up at Septim. "How?", he asks. "Assassins...", says Septim. "Well then, I'll be sure to tell the Prince after the battle, prepare your ship! This will be a good one!", yells Hussius. Septim turns to his crew. "Alright! Prepare for battle!" | ||||
Erunion, after seeing to Ernie in his coma, went on deck. | ||||
"You heard the man on the commander's deck, battle stations, move!" yelled Ragnarr towards the crew, which was rushing to grab weapons, put on armor and prepare the longship for a hell of a battle. | ||||
Might takes out his dagger and peeks out of the storage area of Ragnarrs ship. | ||||
The Stormborn, with the northern-western fleet, goes at the eastern fleet in formation, the ships meet, ballistas begin firing, and ships begin sinking. The enemies begin throwing grappling hooks at the Stormborn and climbing over, but Septim cuts the grappling hooks down every time the enemies throw them. | ||||
Then suddenly Ernie woke up....and heard the fighting outside...but he was took weak to fight yet. It felt as if he had no energy in his body. | ||||
Ant trys to keep the ship from being raked while getting it in position the rake other ships he called to the captain that a ship was see to the port side of the Stormborn and could be an enermy ship from the crows nest. Ant kept the ship at the edge tof the fight to help protect one side of the ship | ||||
"Boarders! Men, up swords! Second platoon, take axes and dislodge the grappling hooks! Catapult, switch to the shrapnel rounds and target the main deck! Quickly now!" | ||||
Ernie began eating some food that was sat next to his bed and began trying to recover his strength faster. He heard the fighting on the deck and locked the door and barricaded it until he could figure out where his weapons were put. | ||||
Septim blocks a blade, kicks an enemy off the ship, and cuts a grappling hook. He steps on an enemy who had grabbed on to the side of the ship's fingers and runs to where another grappling hook had been thrown. Septim slices it before blocking a sword from behind. He turns and slashes at the enemy, but the enemy blocks. Septim blocks two more quick strikes from the enemy's scimatar and grabs the enemy's arm before the third, he stabs his longsword through the enemy's chest and throws him off the ship. Septim slices down two more grappling hooks and looks as the Stormborn blows open another ship with her ballista. Septim smiles before cutting down another rope. | ||||
*Might peeks out from ship and sees fighting.* | ||||
Ernie found his weapons in a chest under his bed and put on his gear. He was moving a little sluggish but he could not let the crew fight while he was in a bed. Ernie put on his quiver of bows and put his sword at his side. He moved the barricades on the door and opened it up. He notched and arrow and fired, striking an enemy who had just climbed over the side of the ship. The man fell overboard into the sea. Ernie then notched another arrow and struck another man. He began firing faster and faster but was nowhere near his fastest speed. He began regaining his strength and agility and moved towards a better position to help aid in the fight. | ||||
Septim blocks an attack, ducks under another attack, and slices off an enemy's leg, he stabs his sword through the enemy's chest and pulls out his spatha, he then turns, about to strike a bowman, when he sees that it is Ernie. "Well, congratulations", says Septim before resuming his battle. The Stormborn and the rest of the fleet seems as if it is about to lose, with dark elven ships and bandit ships arriving to aid the Easterners. But, from the south, Elven ships approach, over three hundred, each with a large amount of spellcasters. The Elven ships enter the battle, burning enemy ships to ash. In the end, the Northern-Elven-Western coalition defeats the Bandit-Eastern-Dark Elven alliance in the battle that would be known as the Battle of the Trinforth Sea. Septim is given the rank of Commander in the Western Navy, as well as his rank of General in the army, and Duke of Cidel. Septim pilots the Stormborn into the harbor of Erovorn, capital of the Western Empire. Where Septim pays each of his crew members, he then attends the coronation of Emperor Cellor Verdilon II, son of the late Emperor Vestor Verdilon IV. Septim gives his speech, and leaves moments later, not wanting to be in the same room with the other selfish Dukes and Lords any longer than he had to. Septim returns to his castle in the city of Cidel, and climbs the stairs to his room, where he puts his longsword on it's stand, his spatha on it's, and his gladius on it's. He then lays down on his bed, and eventually falls asleep to thoughts of the recent sea battle... [[OOC: I will make a new thread soon, I'd like all former RPers to be in it. The new one will be centered more around naval battles than adventuring, as a war will be taking place...]] | ||||
