Name: Killer Titles: Guildmaster [Errr.. I'm lost with these guilds... How come I only get 3k when everyone else gets 9k?]
[you get 3k PER guild....by now each of us have 3 of the same kind of guild but in 3 different locations]
[[OOC: We have all spent around thirty thousand gold to build three guild houses in three different cities, ten thousand per guild hall, which is why we recieve 9000 instead of 3000...]]
[[OOC: To have a child takes six days, on the third you find out that you will be having a child (well, you're character, you would know of course! :-P). Right now I'm on my third out of six...]] Duke Bertilius Septim wakes from an interesting dream, but can't recall it. He then eats breakfast in his dining hall and walks down to his study, where he reads a bit of his book. He then goes down to his throne room to find his wife already there. Septim sits down, where he has a meeting with Javor Dunharrow, battlemaster of the Tysos arena. He asks to have an arena built in Cidel. Knowing that arenas draw crowds, promote economy, and increase renown, Septim agrees to the construction of the Cidel Arena, which would be one of good size. Septim then accepts contracts for two new Guilds to be opened in Cidel, the Guild of Warlocks and Witches led by Master Vorson, and the Guild of Smiths, led by Smithing Master Vroskov. Septim then accepts a couple families into his city before taking a walk through his city. Septim gives a lecture on the life of Quintis Valdos, a great merchant and later, a great King, before going swimming, he returns to find that his wife is pregnant. Septim, happy at news of an heir being born, has his best doctor take care of his wife. Septim has a seperate bed made for her and goes to sleep in his room. [[OOC: So... what are guilds? And did Seron take over Valkond and Tysolon? Since I think it did, I suppose when I go to the military academy in Tysolon I get equipped as a Seronian soldier.]] He looked down at the military academy from the overlooking hill. It seems the day has come for my hopes and dreams to finally begin. Today is the day where I begin my journey to claw through the social ladders into prominence through the misfortune of others. Today begins the day of my grasp of power! He began to remember the old days, the day before today. War had suddenly seemed so commonplace now, and new rulers and prominent figures erupted out of nowhere, many of the new leaders had been peasants! He would soon join them, he was sure of it and when he did he would tear down the rule of the Seronian and Ersos would be his! But that, unfortunately, was still far off and he had to focus on the present. He slowly made his way down the hill to meet one other person, a woman oddly. She said to the recruiter, "Let me by! Just because I'm a woman doesn't mean I can fight!" This amused the recruiter, "Leave and go do what you're good for, staying at home and cooking and clea-" By this point the woman had jawed the man and pulled an ornate dagger up to his neck. The man gave in as the woman turned around to Tharaman. "You got a problem with that?" "I'm not here for military service." She turned away and walked into the base. He then turned his attention to the startled recruiter who mearly told him to get some equipment and head out to the training grounds. He did so and grabbed himself the finest armor there and headed towards the groudns ready for a tedious day. Name: Killer Titles: Guildmaster
[You can train sons/daughters in skills apparently after they get to age 10.....idk how long that takes]
{It takes 70 RL days.} | ||||
[[OOC: It takes the same amount of time and money to teach them upon reaching age eighteen as it did for you, but ten until eighteen it takes seven real life days to teach them one skill. [[OOC: Could somebody please tell me of the history of the game so far? All these posts make it confusing to keep track of and I am new. xD Plus what are guilds?]]
[[OOC: I'll tell you. We (Erunion, Ernie, Killer, and I) started out in Tysos, capital of the old Tysonian Kingdom. We all went in as soldiers, and I got my training in reading, Erunion in mathematics, Ernie in reading, and Killer in tactics. I became a scholar, Ernie did too, Erunion an engineer, and Killer an officer. The game went on, and soon Valkond attacked Tysos, so Seron stepped in and stopped them, the war raged until Seron defeated Valkond and conquered the continent. The Tysonian King demanded to have his throne back, but the Seronian King denied his request, and the Tysonian King allied with the remains of Valkond and started a rebellion, it was soon stopped. Then the orcs attacked, and after two wars, they were defeated by the Elves, who gave the best of the soldiers weapons. During that time, Erunion, Ernie, and I got the rank of Lord, then Count, and now Duke. Killer has refused those ranks.]]
[Guilds are buildings there professions of a skill gather and talk and discuss things. When you become a lord(?) you can have a guild built for a skill you are a master of And at the moment we just finished a war with goblins and we are in a period of peace that Septim hinted will last awhile. So during this time I suggest you work on a skill (Oration or Reading works....be a scholar or a diplomat) and get some money together. You get Prominence Points or PPs from battles usually and they let you have followers and cities and stuff. and for MORE info go to the topic in the RP forums titled Prominence Guide. it gives you all the info you need
Ernie's two ships pull out of the harbor, one headed for Cidel, the other for Naergothrendar. When they part ways, one goes north, that one is subdued by pirates, the other is also subdued by pirates, both ships are burnt. Septim takes ninety thousand gold coins out of his vault and goes to the master wizard, where he takes a day to learn all of the expert level spells. Afterwards, Septim returns home, eats, and finds that his trading ally, Ernie of Tasidian, had lost his fleet to pirates. Septim goes upstairs to find his wife laying in her bed. Septim sits with her for a while, eating dinner at her side, before going swimming, he then goes to bed... Tharaman wakes up to another day of training and easily bests many of the newer cadets and even some of the more experienced soldiers. Name: Killer *Killer gets an agrrement with a few butchers, bakers and fruit dudes so he can get fresh food for 600 gold for a few weeks. He then decides to expand his Whilst travelling home after a game of chess(which he completely obliterated the opponent in, after having lost the last three games the previous days) he sees a sinister looking gang of men trying to beat up a woman. Killer had never seen such beauty, her hair flowed with the wind, which was whipping it out behind her, an indeterminable colour. Her green eyes sparkled with anger, and her left hand held a sword, and her right a shield. It wove an intricate design in front of the thugs, keeping them at bay. One of the thugs took a bow from his back, but fell back to the ground, a dirk in his throat. Killer took from his sheath his sword, and rushed at the thugs. Before he reached them, each had fallen, a crimson red flowed over the ground. The woman looked defiantely at Killer, her sword red with blood. It swished in front of him, nicking his hand. Killer tried to explain, but the woman slashed wildly at him. Seeing he had no choice other than to die, Killer defended with his sword, giving a few faint-hearted thrusts in retaliation. He even begun to wonder if the thugs were the one that started the fight or not.
Ernie woke up and heard the news about his trading ships. He was sad for the loss (and cursed Septim) and then began to make the greatest fleet he ever made. First he went to the old man again and by the end of the day had learned veteran level magic. He then ordered the construction of a Small Frigate for 30000 gold and would pay for it in AS it got constructed. He then ordered the construction of a Large Fluyt for 20000 and would similarly pay for it as it got constructed. Ernie ordered for a garrison of 500 extra soldiers be stationed in Tasidian, he ordered his captains to drill them regularly so that the soldiers of Tasidian would be feared by any enemy that attacked. Ernie then finished reading his book and went to sleep next to his wife Name: Duke Ernie

Septim wakes up and finds his wife laying in her bed. Septim then eats breakfast and has a servant bring food to her. Septim then tends to his duties as Duke. After a long day's work, Septim goes swimming, as he does every day. He then returns to his wife to find that she is almost due to have the baby. [Im making this post now since I may not be able to post tomorrow at some random time....so just to be safe] Ernie woke up and checked on his wife to make sure she was comfortable. He took a class in journeyman mathematics for 1000 gold. He then visited then visited the shipwright and paid him the 2nd part of his final payment for the two ships that were being constructed. He walked to the Guild of Oration and talked to several members there before visiting the castle courtyard. He observed the troops training and then went inside. He sat down at his desk and wrote some messeges to several lords before visiting his wife for awhile. He then went to bed. Name: Duke Ernie

[[That's a map of the world, please don't do intercontinental trips without asking, and build a lot of protective ships if you do, the further you go, the bigger and badder the pirate fleets are!]]
[[Hm. When my guy gets powerful and all that he may make quite a few trips to the dark lands. Heheh.]] Tharaman finishes his military service and returns his armour, but keeps the sword. He goes swimming for a while and then begins to make his way home late. On the way, he realizes he's hungry so he stops by a baker on a lonely street at night. The baker is just about to close up as he buys bread for 5 gold for the first time considering the military had been giving him rations for service. As he looks at his measly 5 gold he then looks back up at the baker who seems to have a good days work. Since nobody was around, he took his chance and drew his sword cleanly slicing the man's neck. Tharaman takes his money and leaves without regretting it.

Name: Killer *Killer expands his guild further. He decides to go and play chess yet again. He spies the woman he saw yesterday playing there, and sees that her hair is a copper golden sort of colour, and her eyes are in fact blue. The night must have been playing tricks, he decides. He sits down in front of her, and they shake hands and begin the game. The board and pieces are beautifully hand-crafted. She is white, and so begins. She starts off with the Queen's gambit, which Killer accepts. Mid-game, they are even, only 2 pawns of each are off the board. Killer sees an opening to attack the queen, and sacrifices a pawn, and in return he gets an extra pawn. The woman suddenly begins trading off her pieces at a rapid pace, the game draws to a close. Killer finds himself with a rook and four pawns against two knights and two pawns. The game drags on, Killer gets a knight for two pawns. The woman forks his king and rook, and Killer sacrifices his rook to get his pawn to the bottom of the board before the woman's, checking her, and getting the knight. The pawns, however, are in such a position that he is unable to take them when brining his king up, and Killer takes one pawn and the woman moves her other one up. Killer then makes a serious blunder, he could have won, but he places his queen in such a position as to be forked the next turn when she moves her pawn up to become a knight, forking them. She takes the queen, then gets the pawn. The shake hands over the drawn game. The onlookers clapped their hands, it had been an entertaining game to the middle, then slowly went downhill. The woman pressed something into Killer's hand, it was his arrow, mended. She vanished from sight. He went home, tired after the game of chess.*
[Hmmmm murdering people doesnt get you far]
[[OOC: Killing a Baker hmmmm? Seems a bit pointless, and risky, as the guards will begin investigating...every murder increases the chances of being caught. And you can have small skirmishes, but not Erunion, Ernie, or I. It won't be easy for us to get PP from now on...]]
[Septim maybe you better schedule the skirmishes or we will be seeing liike 30 men going after him and them all getting killed by one sword swipe......and having like 10 skirmishes in 1 day comes to my mind]
[Can I skirmish with him? He just killed a poor innocent baker, and a damn good one too. I was getting my bread off of him.]
[[OOC: Yes, it seems Tharaman's gonna be screwed here when Killer finds him...beware though Killer, if a guard catches you, it will count as murder.]]
[OOC: Hey hey, I'm a highwayman and he needed some fast cash. xD Lawl. It was the highest paying job atm and didn't realize the guard would be after me. Lawl, this stinks. And don't worry Ernie, I'm definetly no god moding *beep*. I'll keep my kills realistic, after all, I just killed a BAKER. xD Not a lord with 20 guards. Wait eh minute... Killer can kill me? Agh, I was hoping that some NPC's would come after me. Just so you guys now I way gonna be a highwayman for like one or two nights and then I go to the academy and become a diplmoat. By the way, for other continents do you already have some background info, geograhpy, and history set up for the other races/lands?]]

Or something like that. xP Hey, Septim, can I make suggestions for descriptions of the various new islands? You can accept, modify, or deny them completely. xD]
[[OOC: I'm still working on them, send the photobucket addresses to my message box, that way this thread doesn't get filled with maps. [I wasn't going to kill you... I was just going to fight with you. I don't see why you would attack a baker, though merchants are perfectly reasonable.]
[The islands are mine! -.- of course Septim made the ones closest to me a Pirate Fortress probably with anti ship guns and explosives all over the beachs that ONLY affect me....oh yeah maybe you should redo the map with the capital, and our 3 cities (Mine, Septim, Erunion's cities) so that everyone knows where we are ☺]

[OOC: Olok, a barbarous swamp land. The Orcs are a proud and vicious warrior race who live on to pillage, fight, and burn. Thier social hiearchy is based on strength and many at the upper classes don't live too long. Orcs have no magical ability. Linthos is a mostly woody land filled with ancient trees that are rumoured to be old as time itself. The Wood Elves live in harmony with nature and are incredible archers, and are the most common folk there. Wood Elves are proficient in geomancy but lack in other forms of magic. There are a few High Elves, magical, secretive beings. Rumour has it that high in the trees there is a High Elf settlement, but few have seen it, if it exists. (High Elves are strong, fast, magically strong, handsome, tall, live loooong, proud, stuck up. xD) Ursan is a desert island with little water. The goblins live in the many mountains that litter the island. They are warriors at heart, and use numbers to fight rather than skill. Thier government is a tribal order. They have very little magical skill, and the few that have it are very weak compared to an average magician of the Elves or Humans. The snake men are mostly a nomadic type of people, living off the land though there are a few permanent settlements. Su' Ren is a land inhabited by nightmares. The Dark Elves were High Elves gone bad and gained immortal life through the dark arts in exchange for thier spirit. Though not truly evil, they lean towards it. Cunning, mysterious, and powerful the Dark Elves are very uncomfortable to be around. Sirens, ghosts, vampires, and other beings live in this land too. To' Mun is a rain-forest island and seems as if it from the past. In the canopy lives the proud, fierce, loyal, and brave Monkey-Men led by King Moto Toto. They are not the one to betray for thier own gain and puts thier friends lives before themselves. Eskaal is inhabited by advanced humans that deny the existence of magic and hates elves, orcs, dark elves, monkey men, and other "mythical beings." These warriors wield guns, cannons, and sky ships that can wreak havoc on the enemy. (think of the Roman Empire a little more advanced) There's my ideas. xD Oh, and mind scheduling my skirmishes or something?]
