Sometimes I think mods are a little quick to use their powers, maybe they're just attracted to some of us? So who is Vu's biggest forum criminal? Who makes all the forum mods weak with lust?

    Post how many times you've been banned from the forums (any forum, including repeated bans).

which a bunch of people say all the time, so sometimes I feel like mods get a bit touchy :/

I think that Zeta should be the only one who can make bans, it's only fair that way.

Zeta IS the only one who can forum ban. mods have no such power

I remember a mod like a few eras ago that b1tched and complained and Zeta finally banned that player the mod hated so much. hmm what was his name!?!?! its on the tip of my tongue...

Apparently Wilberforce got banned too...

and why? For quoting the Wiki references to the various members names...IE me being Eros named after the god of love, Perkunis named after the Lithuanina god and one the reference to Wilberforce being a character in a TV show called The Born Looser....

According to Zeta it was becouse he kept posting OT even after he was warned. Imo thats a fair reason to ban eventhough I think its a bit harsch.
Prob is that the system is too blunt. Temporary bans should be implemented.

b) it was not 'advertising' in that you had to travel Outside of VU to view it, so every link which has 'advertising' should be deleted

NOW...I love it when peeps chat about someone that cant defend themselves so here I go off the rocker again

Firstly, ZETA and NONE of of the mods made NO written, verbal, smoke cloud, telex, fax or hand signing gesture to ANY warning. GET THE FACTS STRAIGHT.

Secondly - Advertising - WTF - Do i look like im advertising something ...did i call myself google pimp.

Criticism of a mod is based on their bias. You want to be a mod....moderate ALL...not just the bits you want.

Stay on topic - The discussion had a VERY VALID question...who was a certain member of my KD. The KD made an effort to use themes for players names. I made REFERENCE to the players names by quoting links to THE WIKIPEDIA...not ebay fool. Had they asked what color is the sky - and i answered "Blue - Like this T Shirt available now on ebay for a credit crunch special offer price of 1-99...available in red yellow and green....get it now while stocks last"....then yes....sue me for advertising. But the WIKI....an Open Source Educational Reference Guide...WTF...get real....

I recall one mod questioning an army of mine...it was Named Scipio Africanus....the mod felt the name was offensive....when in fact it was named after one of the great Roman generals credited for bringing down Hannibal.

Maybe they need some time to read some of the wiki....obviously school was a non-hit for them.

So...I assume that straying off topic includes drawings of stickmen, referencing different cheese types and 90% of the other nub answers that get posted. Being a mod requires you to use the same brush to tar all...don't understand that phrase...go look it up.
