So has anyone picked this game up and played it for the last few days? :) i know i have, i know you eu2/3 lovenuts are in this community! :P i still prefer CK2 but i enjoy EU4 too. :P Any AARs in works, or interest in reading them? :P | ||||

A time killer. O____________________O  ...though a massive majority of that time was me minimizing the game for hours at a time. I really can't play it straight for hours on end. I typically play it for fifteen minutes or so, then do other crap, then come back to it. Still! Suck it, Minecraft! Anyway, also got EU4. Currently playing a CK2 game as Byzantium->Rome, because I want to test the save game exporter. | ||||
is it worth getting? eu2 was awesome eu3 was laaame and is that all? my Mount and blade warband clocks up 3k hours on steam and the mod I play stopped using steam a couple years ago :D gotta be 4-5k now but all my other games have like 5-20 ^^ | ||||
EU4? I wouldn't pay forty dollars for it. It's decent, but if I were you, I'd wait until a sale and buy it then. Like most major Paradox games, it'll probably be significantly better later on. Plus modding makes almost all of them a shit-ton better. I can't even play Victoria II anymore without Pop Demand Mod. >_> | ||||
Im still playing EU2 in form of "For the Glory" which is a community made improved version of EU2. FtG + the agceep mod or the plvs ultra map mod. Makes it into almost a completely new game and adds a crapton of improvements, events and all kind sof stuff :D | ||||

CK 2 is still a killer game, hopefully someday they will make Theocracies playable. | ||||

Bought it yesterday for half price. first 10 mins as England i found myself losing against france and trying to figure out all the tabs and shit. I miss Eu2s simple yet elegant style but i will try to learn this one too :P | ||||
Maybe we should have a return of VU EU. I haven't actually played a whole lot of EU4 yet, for some reason. I'll get there. | ||||

I think eu4 was better than eu3 in some ways but not in others. That been said the mod that puts all the ck2 character traits on rulers in eu4 makes it really complicated but also strangely fun to mess around with | ||||
Ugh I imported a game where I, as Sweden, inherited both England and the HRE. It was a mess!! That being said, I love EU 4. | ||||

Yeah, I had a lot of fun with EU2. It was fucking great. I remember a lot of the games. The early one where I was France and had some wars with Ghouma. A Spain one where I colonized most of the world. A France one. An Austria one where Might took over for a few sessions and completely ran the country into the ground. | ||||
I get nostalgic like I'm four times my age, and definitely about EU. Funny how many of the images from our EU AARs are actually still up. Fun looking through them. | ||||
