Goodbye VU from Samulis | ||||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
For 12 eras have I tread wearily upon this land, and from those eras have I learned what many will take a lifetime to fully learn and appriciate. I have learned how to fight with courage, how to respect both your friends and your enemies, and that sometimes, a good joke is better than a good battle. I have learned that the world out there is not just cruel corporations and corrupt richies, but a land of diversity, both in cultures and in ideas. However, any person who says that this world cannot work together has been proven wrong. Each era I have stood is more evidence that we, people from the furthest reaches of this world, can work together under the circumstances of only a mere game. I have learned that respect is before honor and honor is based on not only performance, but loyalty to oneself and ones kin. I have traveled and fought under many banners, and I will always remember those people who have both defeated me, died alongside me, and sometimes, survived with me. I would like to thank my first KD that I joined, Army of Darkness for what you have taught me (if there are any of you left), among many others who I will mention below. I know I am still a new-player by most standards, for 12 eras is still young against those of 20 and 25, but I have lasted atleast a year in this game, and will always remember what I learned, no matter what rank and what office I achived or won. Winning is not what has been important to me, showing effort and achiving respect in this game have always been my goals. Many players have been far better role-models then me, almost holding their own as model-vu'ers. I do feel it is my duty to stand up and appolgise to any who I have offended over the eras, and any who I have defeated who I later realized that peace could have been an outcome more favorable, I am also sorry. I am very thankful to all the leaders I have worked with and all the players I have befriended. Sincerely, -Sir Samulis
People I want to Thank: Septim, for teaching me the meaning of Sp@m and how we all need some of it sometimes. Lord/Sir Resistance, for teaching me the power of Elves. Mr. Spellman, for teaching me that Elves can be sly aswell... Ms. Holly, for teaching me the meaning of the phrase 'OMG NAZZIES!!! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!' Mr. Haldir, for teaching me that small KDs can sometimes win (with Resistance on our side) Mr. Ants, for teaching me how to have fun While having a war :) Sir. Oxygen, for teaching me why to use MUs and a few level 5 units instead of just level 3s.
I would also like to extend my special awards to the following KDs for awesome gameplay: -Carnage -Knights of the Black and White -Lightning Dust -Predators
Just so I can completely bore you to death, I will now post some sort writings I have done over the corse of the game, which will be visible in my histories. --------- So it began... -Sir Samulis the Incredious, Era 38 ------- "I am sorry, both to you, and to my kingdom mates. I have been out camping and hunting in the local mountains this whole past week, and came back to find my fiefdom decimated to the last man and child. I have cursed those wicked men who have brought this upon us, Rebirth shall never be Reborn. Re-awoken, they will never be. And forever shall they rest under the mountains of shadow and humility till the ending of this world and unto the next. I curse them, one time for each poor defenceless peasant they slaughtered at the gates of Arlidor, one time for each archer they threw down from the golden walls with their hideous beasts. I fear this is the fall of one of the greatest regimes ever to exist, my friend. I fear, this is the end..." -Sir Verendurus The Tafflinicronian, Era 41 -------- I, Samulis De Imparus, Son of Samulis the Noble, have prepared my armies for the march. To the south, a threat rizes, one I am unsure of in how they shall affect me. Thy kingdom of thee worms, they call it. His army stands outside of New Samersania, I have sent a messager to him explaining that we are not at war, I am unsure of the outcome, but I hope it is not as bad as it appears... The Cruxadeur Army is prepared to the north, one last valiant march to glory I shall give if I must... if not, well then, farwell thee fair ladies. -Samulis De Imparus, Era 37 ----------------------- Farewell, my friends... until our paths cross yet again, if ever. I will never forget what I have learned. -Samulis the Noble, Era 43 | ||||||||
i dont know you, but take care :)
| ||||||||
Sir Samulis I salute you. | ||||||||
Gtfo already. | ||||||||
"Lord/Sir Resistance, for teaching me the power of Elves." <3 | ||||||||
Youll be back eventually, peace man :p | ||||||||
As always, Aries. ;)
And M'Lady, that was because he froze my army in place (when I actually did have MUs in it...) in my own teratory only a tick away from a city I badly needed to support... and the fact that he rof'ed every army that tried to attack my city for me, including a 20k one of nearly entirely catapults.
Oh, and one other special thanks. Thanks to Mr. Manwe, wherever and whoever you are now, for teaching me the power of storytelling and the love of Lord of the Rings. | ||||||||
Cliche goodbyes go in The Hangaround. | ||||||||
I would have thought of them as more as news about the game, but whatever. ;) | ||||||||
You're not important. Attention-whoring doesn't count as news about the game. | ||||||||
bye samuel | ||||||||
*waves* | ||||||||
what a sexy guy in that pic | ||||||||
I came | ||||||||
good thing you didnt cum | ||||||||
| ||||||||
omfg!!!!! rofl | ||||||||
O____o For teh lulz? | ||||||||
Samulis? You're names too much like Samual. So I won't miss you. | ||||||||
I've been around quite a bit longer...
Wait a second... didn't you conquer as well? ;)
I was an important person in the 'RP over GP (game-play)' movement! All my cities had fantasy names of my own design and my armies were based off of those of fantasy kingdoms also of my own design... That also ment I never got above rank 100, but hey, it was fun... And I am one of the few who has managed to prove that Humans, with great practice and experiance, can actually have worth afterall (although I never quite managed to find what was worthy about them...) | ||||||||
Didn't get to that part yet. But stating the obvious isn't necessary for my case :) | ||||||||
And I am one of the few who has managed to prove that Humans, with
great practice and experiance, can actually have worth afterall
(although I never quite managed to find what was worthy about them...) | ||||||||
i believe me and kai have proven that. Then humans got nerfed. If you would have proven, the would have been nerfed again... | ||||||||
You can't forget Ali in that Peng :) | ||||||||
The day you understand the relationship between sarcasm and arrogant people is the day you learn who I am. XD Just because I have proven on countless occasions that I know less than the average Talents player doesn't mean I can't remind everyone of my status as a complete and utter failure at suceeding in any way, shape, or form. I am also implying in my statement that you need both a lot of practive and/or experiance, neither of which I have (that's pretty obvious) so it makes it very obvious that I am clearly showing sarcasm or some other type of false statement. Penguin, I know you have worked very hard at reviving the race of Men, but you do know that over 30% of the players are human*. Without people to buy stuff off the market for signifigantly less, the rest of the game would be boring. * According to a study last era by the great ZeTa, includes Tutorial Worlds' players. | ||||||||
wilbur.. Ali did great stuff, but he didnt get over the max so zeta would fuck up. That era me and kai we were owning everything. | ||||||||
@ Peng, we probably won't be thinking of the same era, but as human StG, Ali was one of the best StGers I've ever seen. | ||||||||
Let's make this nice and obvious by writing out exactly what this 'argument' is over: My stance: I am leaving. Bye everyone, I tried hard early on, but I just don't have that time anymore to play the game. Best of luck to everyone, thanks to my teammates and such. I believe Wilover made the mistake of seeing it as: Hey guys! I'm leaving, I don't need to stick around with stupid people. I don't know anyone who plays now, so I won't play anymore! Thus, I have drawn the conclusion that Wilover responded without taking enough time to read and understand the full metaphorical and figurative meaning of the word choices and order, thus rendering his replies NULL AND VOID and/or INCOMPLETE (failing to follow the topic or re-introduced topic sufficiently), more as criticism of my achivements, no matter how small or weak they may appear to be. If I am correct, then perhaps this will put the record straight, if not, then this was probabily a way to achive 'fun' by the pointless annoyance of others who are in a less formitable position. "And I am one of the few who has managed to prove that Humans, with great practice and experiance [as written above, 12 eras is not consitered a 'great amount of practice', and I openly admitted to never reaching above 100th, showing lack of experiance], can actually have worth afterall (although I never quite managed to find what was worthy about them...[clearly re-enforces that I am not good enough to be a master, or even any sort of world figure of the Human Race])" -Samulis the Noble Please do not post any more on this subject, if you can't get over it, mail me in-game please so this topic can stay on-track. And don't think just because i'm leaving now doesn't mean I won't be able to come back in a week... or a month... or a year... In fact, I probably will return next summer. :D ----------- Does anyone have anything NOT having to do with the following? If so, post away! A. Humans being a race that needs help. B. Samulis being a person that needs help (mentally/counciling or other...) C. Why two arrogant people should never talk to each other, much less try to out-do each other. D. How great Penguin is at playing human (it's true...) :D E. Why ZeTa made changes to the races. | ||||||||
You quit, why keep posting? This topic isn't for discussion. If so, it is in the wrong forum. | ||||||||
tl;dr | ||||||||
I quit at the end of the era, and that's just formal gameplay. I discuss what has been presented to me and rightfully justify my actions. Would you not stand up for your legacy if you ever were to quit the game and if someone threatened to insult your work even if you were a lowly player who had never done anything of importance? It is basic human right, nature, and desire to stand their ground and draw the line where they think it should go, don't you agree? I would not send a main character on a story without ever giving atleast hints about his apperance, skills, and past life; it simply would not do. Scientist/Charley/Deallus/whatever name you wish to go by, I know you are one of the rules and a strict follower of guidelines. Do you remember when Septim 'quit'? Did he not return? If you wish to move this once again, then perhaps you shall, but what I have written here will not be forgotten, the points I have given are valid, and there is official movement that this topic should move on. If you want to delete anything that has gone before this post (including it) that says anything other than a form of 'bye Samulis', be my guest. | ||||||||
-If I quit, I wouldn't care what anyone said...it is an online game ffs. | ||||||||
"draw the line where they think it should go" | ||||||||
Touche, and a fine blow at that, Charley. Just call me Samulis, if you like, though Arlidorius and Lord Cartographer also do. If Samulis is hard to remember (which I find is often the case with many people I end up talking with), Sam is ok as well, though I may not realize you're talking to me... :( You've always been a bit stricter than someone like... erm... Septim... I mean that you like your RPGs and such crisp, clean, and understandable (in relation to the great discussions of Sp@malot. No Draedangaarths of Halderaiscreston or anything of that matter. I used to write things like that, but I quickly realized that people don't like big names (although I enjoy using them to confuse my enemies and allies alike)... Unless you want to say goodbye (for however short this interim may be), I guess that ends all teh lolz for today... | ||||||||
Um...goodbye... | ||||||||
