Hockey Finland vs USA
22:22:44 May 12th 10 - Mr. Tyrgalon:

Damn what a fight XD a real hockey thriller.

gj USA, Finland won in the end but it was close.

Better luck next time :)

00:46:45 May 13th 10 - Mr. Sun Jian of:

Dun really watch hockey. Its okay but soccer is better.

02:51:02 May 13th 10 - Mr. Vuggy:

I agree with the above statement... hockey's better than baseball, but soccer tops it. And football tops soccer. :)

04:33:19 May 13th 10 - Mr. Sun Jian of:

Idk about football (american). Its great for like drinking parties but really they dont really have as much endurance as soccer players do. This is just my opinion about it I am not saying american football has no endurance but soccer is like constantly getting the ball.

05:34:37 May 13th 10 - Mr. Arthur Dent:

Football players don't have as much endurance, but they're a lot tougher ;)  I love watching fußball players cause they are panzies and cry at being touched to draw fouls.  Would someone post that one video? :D

And I like watching all the sports personally.  Love baseball, football, soccer, hockey, and any sport that's on.

12:42:50 May 13th 10 - Mr. Vuggy:

They don't have endurance, it's not an endurance sport except for the QB and receivers. It's more of a tactical game... you choose something to fight the enemy (other team) and hopefully the skill of all your players meshes together. :)

I'm not saying no other sports are good.. I don't like baseball or basketball, but I like just about everything else.

00:21:58 May 14th 10 - Mr. Sun Jian of:

I dispise Baseball as its really lame. Basketball is like soccer with the running back and forth but their are a lot more timeouts than soccer.

00:23:32 May 14th 10 - Mr. Osiris:

football (real english type etc) owns all other sports. and rugby > american football

00:25:20 May 14th 10 - Mr. Vuggy:

American offensive lineman will eat any rugby player for lunch.

00:55:12 May 14th 10 - Mr. Canucks:

hockey is actually the hardest sport to learn cause in all other sports u noe how to run with a ball even if ur 3 in hockey u have to learn how to skate

i highly doubt that. put them in a real rugby match and see if they come out hurting with a new respect for rugby

03:13:19 May 14th 10 - Mr. Arthur Dent:

I'm pretty sure that rugby is a little tougher than American football.  I don't watch much rugby as it's not available but I'm sure it would be fun.  I'm not saying American football isn't tough though, it is, I'd rather say American football players are smarter than rugby players ;)  Oh and the only sport I hate is basketball

03:41:31 May 14th 10 - Mr. Vuggy:

Skating isn't too hard to master.. I got pretty good at it after an hour... of course, this wasn't following a puck... and there were no pads. And yet, hockey is still not very entertaining.. all I see it as from the actions of the players is an excuse to fight someone over something that hardly anyone watches. That's what UFC is for, fighting over something people watch.

And osiris, you're telling me to put offensive linemen in rugby? xD they wouldn't understand the rules, you'd have to teach em. They're completely different. Plus, offensive linemen aren't the highest conditioned in most cases, so they probably wouldn't have the endurance. Rugby players are conditioned for their sport while football players are for theirs. I never said either one didn't have respect for the other, I was stating my personal opinion. Besides, why would a football player want to go drink tea and then play against men who like to pull on each others' pants to tackle each other? I've seen it.

04:38:23 May 14th 10 - Mr. Airborne:

As a Yankees fan, I have to defend baseball at least a bit...I will grant you that it ranks among the top ten worst sports to watch, but it's a helluva lot of fun to play, especially with some friends. Kinda like golf in that respect, except louder and you can actually find the ball after it has been hit lol.

05:19:59 May 14th 10 - Mr. Vuggy:

I disagree... I have to have some kind of contact besides hitting a ball 1 out of every 25 times I swing. /me has no ball hitting skills. :D

06:17:57 May 14th 10 - Mr. Canucks:

vuggy u havent watched playoff hockey or rivalry games.

08:39:25 May 14th 10 - Mr. Tyrgalon:

Hockey played in the world championship and Olympic games is something totally different to regular NHL, at least when the top teams play. Its a very fast game that can make sudden turns and the top players are amazingly skilled handling the puck and skating really fast. There are also many different tactics and ways to play, its not just to barge trough the opponents. Tackling is also a tactical tool used against the opponent, there are clear purposes for it, small fighting is a way to unbalance your opponents too. Just take a look at the Finland USA match, two top teams playing against each other. Hockey is one of the most watched sports, football is just way more watched than any other sport in the world. Theres NHL in USA and its a major thing, and the hockey WC is a huge event with over 50 countries participating, not to mention the Olympics.

Soccer is for me a pretty boring sport compared to hockey, it takes ages for the players to get the ball to the other side, sometimes you can se a nice dissplay of personal skill from the top players but otherwise they mostly just trudge along and kick the ball a few meters in some direction.

American football is for me the dummy sports, the linemen don´t need brains or much skill, they just barge at the enemy. There are the goal makers and a few others that need to think that actually have my respect, but the linemen are just like gorillas, only size and muscle matters.

Basketball, gotta agree with airborn, fun to play but a bit boring to watch.

Rugby, dunno that much abut it, but I would say its one of the toughest sports in the world. A bit like American football without the padding, just ouch...

12:37:32 May 14th 10 - Mr. Vuggy:

I disagree. I'd LOVE to see you try to win a football game with just "barging at someone" and hitting them, without any thought of the play or how to open holes.

12:56:27 May 14th 10 - Mr. Osiris:

hocky better then football (Soccer to you pplz) hmm im not sure about that :D i mean if we go on pure number of viewers then football wins hands down :P seems a lot of people love teh football

The 2006 World Cup stands as one of the most watched events in television history, garnering an estimated 26.29 billion non-unique viewers, compiled over the course of the tournament. The final attracted an estimated audience of 715.1 million people.[1] The 2006 World Cup ranks fourth in non-unique viewers, behind the World Cup in 1994, 2002, and 1990.[2] now thats a lotta people :o

compare that to just over 100 million watching the superbowl and compared to the 50million ish that watched the olympic semi vs russia, ice hocky is well supported but only in a few countries (we dont exactly have a lot of ice to be fair)

Rugby is far down with 20-30 million but like ice hocky is only played in a handfull of countries. The theme i see is that American sports doesnt really travel well with the exception of basketball i think :)

edit!  :D i guess my problem and i can say the same for a few people is that american sport just takes forever and is broken up way to much. i cant watch a full game of American football as they stop playing all the time :)

20:10:51 May 14th 10 - Mr. Tyrgalon:

"I disagree. I'd LOVE to see you try to win a football game with just "barging at someone" and hitting them, without any thought of the play or how to open holes."

There are some tactics but compared to hockey and soccer its nothing. And I said the linemen, the ones who stand in the line facing of the opponents line, they just push at each other.

And Osiris, its true that hockey is not so widely played, but that is starting to change. In recent years many small hockey countries have had a lot of success.

00:13:45 May 15th 10 - Mr. Vuggy:

That's because you haven't seen me on the line. ;) it's not just pushing... it's dominating and making huge gaps. Quarterbacks have to have the most skill, probably lineman 2nd. It seems easy to do a lineman's job, just push, but there are specific tasks you have to perform to get the job done. Runningback is next, with blocking and running, and then receivers with just catching the ball and running routes. I agree, football isn't very much endurance compared to hockey or soccer, hockey you have to skate hard, which I could skate for double the time I could run, and you have to know how to skate good. That's just the basics. Soccer... I used to play, played for 7 years and was a damn good keeper for the first 4. The first 4 I never got scored on, the last 3 I just gave up on soccer and my team.. I got all the blame for any shots made instead of defense, midfield, or forward even though they were impossible to get.

My point is merely that soccer is too slow paced for me... "Oh man, we destroyed them! 2-0!!"

As compared to football where the scores end up higher, unless they are extremely evenly matched, in which case it's STILL fun to watch because of the fact that you get to see great plays, and bad plays. I guess you don't really like football unless you've got a knack for it, have played it under an actual team, not just with your friends, and you fully understand everyone's job.

Sure it takes ages but face it, there is a lot of running involved plus it builds up endurance so really if you suck at running then your doomed to lose the ball or even the game. In hockey, there is the same thing except on ice and on skates which is really annoying cuz you have to have balance all the time. But in my opinion, My top five favorite sports are 1. Cricket (lol), 2. Soccer, 3. Rugby (because of Invictus), 4. Basketball, and then lastly 5. American Football.

19:42:44 May 15th 10 - Mr. Tyrgalon:

I agree vuggy about soccer. Can´t comment THAT much about American football since never seen or followed it much.

Sun, yes both sports have their challenges, but as a spectator I like hockey a lot more.

The reason that I have never been part of a real team in soccer/hockey/any other team sport is that I got astma, it limits my endurance a lot. It sometimes made me depressed when I was younger because I like sports, but I have learned to live with it, and I know play badminton to keep myself in shape.

00:16:41 May 16th 10 - Mr. Sun Jian of:

I love badminton. That is totally a man sport right there lol ^_^

09:23:29 May 16th 10 - Mr. Tyrgalon:

yep :)

10:09:46 May 16th 10 - Mr. Canucks:

thumb wrestling is the hardest sport. :)

10:16:29 May 16th 10 - Mr. Tyrgalon:

lol :P

15:29:14 May 16th 10 - Mr. Sun Jian of:

Oh yeah cuz if you have tiny thumbs you are doomed to lose. =D

15:35:33 May 16th 10 - Mr. Vuggy:

One two three four I declare a thumb war!

17:28:23 May 16th 10 - Mr. Airborne:

So...anyone enjoy a fun game of bowling?

17:49:26 May 16th 10 - Mr. Sun Jian of:

Bowling is pretty good too. Its challenging if you dont have the bumpers on.

09:05:38 May 17th 10 - Mr. Tyrgalon:
