23:00:39 Jun 13th 14 - Bran (Mr. Shaolin Bran):

23:00:40 Jun 13th 14 - Polydeuces (Mr. Slayer of Worlds):

yeah it was a brilliant goal! i loved watching Robben make a fool of casillas! i was surprised he made a mistake allowing van Persies second :p

23:06:28 Jun 13th 14 - Woodeh (Mr. Woodeh):

Fantastic game, after watching all the match's so far, Dutch have gotta be the team to beat, Brazil lacked fluidity imo.

23:19:08 Jun 13th 14 - Bran (Mr. Shaolin Bran):

they need some changes for the next game just because of the confidence hit alone. i think de gea will start, or at least i hope he will.

06:39:50 Jun 14th 14 - TheBornLoser (Mr. The Dung Beetle):

Its a good day to be a Manchester United fan :)

08:37:06 Jun 14th 14 - Woodeh (Mr. Woodey):

15:20:07 Jun 15th 14 - Bran (Mr. Joey Joe Joe Junior Shabadoo):

i need a good laugh after the england game

19:45:17 Jun 15th 14 - Woodeh (Mr. Dawfer):

Well, by the looks of it Uruguay are as equally rubbish, might get 3 points lol.

20:54:12 Jun 18th 14 - Polydeuces (Mr. Slayer of Worlds):

Wow, great game vs. Australia... That volley by Cahill was just brilliant.  The Australians did very well, nice rapid game play kept the Dutch on their toes.  If Martins Indi never got injured, who'd have known what might have happened with Memphis Depays goal to win it 3-2. I'm liking Arjen Robben up front as a striker he's going brilliant up there with his speed... 37 km/h run speed, that's ridiculous.

21:37:42 Jun 18th 14 - TheBornLoser (Mr. The Dung Beetle):

That volley by Cahill reminded me of Bergkamp's goal against Argentina in 1998. Robben's goal was also terrific - he ran from the halfway line!

Australians were pressing the Dutch well in the first half. They couldn't keep it up in the second half however.... its really difficult playing at full pace for 90 minutes in the heat.

21:50:09 Jun 18th 14 - Polydeuces (Mr. Slayer of Worlds):

Hmm, actually it wasn't very hot at all it was only 14 degrees Celsius during their game.  The Dutch however are great at keeping their pace up throughout an entire game whether it's hot or not... well at least Robben is... vs. Spain when he ran 37 km an hour it was in the 80th minute.

21:52:14 Jun 18th 14 - Polydeuces (Mr. Slayer of Worlds):

Oh yeah, and the Spaniards are losing to Chile right now 0-2 lol.

09:40:21 Jun 19th 14 - TheBornLoser (Mr. The Dung Beetle):

Only 14 degrees?

Damn, it sure looked like 32 degrees of sun to me on the telley :D

19:58:20 Jun 23rd 14 - Polydeuces (Lord Valkyros XXVII):

Man, I'm so lucky!  I got off of work just early enough to catch the last 30 minutes of the game and to see both goals too!  Netherlands over Chile 2-0!!

04:15:15 Jul 9th 14 - TheBornLoser (Mr. The Dung Beetle):

I thought Holland destroying Spain 5-1 was the show of the tournament.

But Germany has taken the cake lock, stock and smoking barrel with their obliteration of Brazil!

I had one leg on the Germany bandwagon for the World Cup (been a supporter since the days of Lothar Matthaus), but now I've got both feet firmly planted :D

Sorry Holland, but I'm looking forward to a Germany - Argentina match. A replay of the Finals of 1986 and 1990, when the immortals, Diego Maradona and Lothar Matthaus, had their duels.

Plus nothing like rubbing it into Brazil, to see the country she beat in the 2002 World Cup Finals and her great South American geopolitical rival, fighting for the final glory on Brazilian ground itself :D

04:36:14 Jul 9th 14 - Polydeuces (Konig Polydeuces):

Yeah what a goal scoring contest... Germany seemed to have dummied Brazil pretty good there.  Too bad I was at work while it was on, that would have been quite the game to watch.  Luckily I have tomorrow off, so I can finally watch Holland play again after missing the last 2 games they played. I hope they win, though it'll be a tight contest.

05:39:18 Jul 9th 14 - TheBornLoser (Mr. The Dung Beetle):

Complete and utter capitulation from Brazil. Just like how I 100% Wilber's army every single time I see it on the battlefield.

Even the US held Germany to a 1 - 0 scoreline! Really embarrassing.

Cwisscwoss, where are you, my good German friend?

06:37:22 Jul 9th 14 - Polydeuces (Konig Polydeuces):

Ha, ha, ha TBL you're amusing.  Admittedly, I would have enjoyed seeing the US win only for the fact they were quite the underdogs in the tournament.  They even almost beat Portugal which made me happy, even though the Portuguese in this town still drove around honking their horns like a maniac for the tie.  Ha, ha.

00:47:29 Jul 10th 14 - Polydeuces (Konig Polydeuces):

:(

01:09:23 Jul 10th 14 - Djinn Bartimaeus (Bartimaeus The Tyrant):

Sorry Poly :/ lol We are gonna win it all!!!! GERMANY!!!!!!!!!

01:31:08 Jul 10th 14 - Mr. Ignis Zaqiu:

Dream on :p

02:15:25 Jul 10th 14 - TheBornLoser (Mr. The Dung Beetle):

Well played to Holland. They progressed much further than expected. I don't think they had many folks pegging them to even get to the semis, with only 2 world class players, a mostly average squad, and a ton of injuries. They deserve a big pat on the back!

Now for Argentina - Germany. From Maradona versus Matthaus to Messi versus Muller! Shall Germany get over their 2002 World Cup Finals loss to Brazil and win it all on Brazilian home ground? Or will Argentina stick one into the eyes of their great South American rivals by becoming World Champions right in Brazil's backyard instead?

A South American team versus a European team. Their third meeting in the World Cup Finals.

Can't wait! Ole!!!

05:42:13 Jul 10th 14 - Polydeuces (Mr. Slayer of Worlds):

I think that Kuyt should have been taken off the field... every time he got the ball on the flank, instead of trying to make a run up the side or making a play up the side, he'd cut back and pass to the centre... two or three times he tried to get a deep ball into the middle but each time he'd either play it out, or right to an Argentine player.  That's the one thing I didn't enjoy about this game against Argentina... they'd move the ball to the back and try to get the long ball in doesn't work well when the Argentine on average are faster players lol.
