I didn't know where to ask so I guess I'll see if anyone on VU knows. lol. Well, I have a really sharp stabbing pain in the joint between my left leg and my abdomin/pelvis/groin, you know, it comes every now and again. Anyway, I went to my doc about it and he said he didn't know. :P So I still have it. The thing is, I had it for a week then it moves into my lower leg but it was much more of a duller pain, then it went away compleatly. That's when I went to see my doc. But after I went to see him it came back. IDK what it is or what's causing it, it stabbs me every now and again, but IDK what causes it to do it, cos no matter what position my leg is in it still happens. It's really painful and annoying. And IDK what it is or how to get rid of it. I'm thinking that it might be a pinched nerve, but I'm not sure. Any help would be apprecated.
You may have been near or drank contaminated water, or just been near a "parasitic worm", leading to the introduction of a "parasitic worm" to your body. The pain could be from when the "parasitic worm" nourishes itself.
thats encouraging... | ||||
Thanks, but I'm pretty sure it's not that. I don't drink much water and when I do I get it from the tap in my house, that's where I've always gottin it from and the water is alwasy the same. Also, I think that even though it only my leg joint hurting now that the pain isn't limitted to that one spot. Like I said, it moved to my lower leg and right now my are is starting to hurt, but that could be unrelated. I'm thinking that it might be a bone, blood or nerve thing. I have also found out that I have low Vitamin D, but IDK is that's related or not either. I would have had low vitamin D for a long time by now but the pain has only just started recently.So yeah, the low Vitamin D I can fix, but untill I find out what's causing my pain then their's nothing I can really do. :(
nothing dull about a pinched nerve. Theres countless other factors which are important to diagnose something like that. Your age for one. Anyhow....I wouldnt expect any VU miracle worker to figure it out for you either way.
I am in no way qualified to answer this, but it sounds like Sciatic_nerve.
You may have also been doing construction and shot your leg with a nail gun. The movement in pain would be due to your muscle moving the nail within your leg.
Briefcase, "Sciatic nerve" doesn't exist. I partake in countless health forums, and this Wikipedia topic is brought up countless times and dismissed as fake.
Yeah, and I'm 19, turning 20 in November. But yeah, that's why it's so hard to work out what it is. :P And yeah. :P But I thourght I'd give it a shot. lol. I looked at it, but it seems to be more of a back thing then a leg thing. And In tghe picture it shows the nerve running down the back of the leg. The pain I have is in the frount, in the middle of my hip and the inside of my leg, right beside my groin.IDK much about all the bits a nd pieces of the human body so I don't really know what's there that could be playing up. And I'm quite sure I havn't shot myself with a nail gun. And it really is quit painful so please stop with the trolling.
Lol, how do you expect anyone to answer this with such a small amount of information you've given us.
>But I thourght I'd give it a shot Nail guns are dangerous things, not anyone can shoot them successfully. >And I'm quite sure I havn't shot myself with a nail gun. Staple gun?
You haven't start any weight training regimens recently, have you?
its all Psychological ? ;)
Well If you think it helps; It started about 3 or 4 weeks ago, Nothing makes it go away and nothing makes it stronger, it just stabbs me at random for a few seconds then goes away, then anywhere from 1 second to 1 day later it'll do it again. Their doesn't seem to be any movement that brings it on, it just happens. And I said, I'm 19 turning 20. And I was just assuming really. :P And no, I'm not under any stress. And yes,maybe, but it does really hurt. No. Stop trolling. :P lol. I wish, but no, it really hurts. :P
growing pains :P its probably too do with your blood vessels or something idk much about science
Nah, I don't really think I'm growing anymore. And yeah, probly something like that. idk much about it either. :P That's why I'm asking.
Were you in a car accident recently? A shard of shrapnel could have lodged itself within your leg...
I think I have it. Have you ever been stabbed by a morgul blade?
Does you leg ever fall asleep after this happens?
1) Sciatic never is NOT fake. I held a dead persons sciatic nerve in my hands not long ago. Its very real and its there. 2) I need to read the rest before I think of #2 :P
>> PM :P | ||||
maybe you found someone who could help you at last? :)
My dad had something similar, I think... So if you want I could ask...
It'll go away in a few weeks probably :/
It's obvious that you were riding your bike, you fell, and your handlebars went into your anus and lodged themselves in your leg. It happened so fast you didn't feel a thing and forgot about your bike even existing from you not wearing a helmet so when you hit your head you got amnesia.
Well I woul be trolling with you guys if I were in your place, so I can understand that's why I'm not gonna get pisse off about it. But my leg really does hurt so I'm going to ignore yous. No, it doesn't fall asleep. And yeah, I hope so. And that's alright Wraith, there's a lot of things it could be so chances are he had something different. And I really hope it does. lol.
I wouldn't be concerned. When you are that age anything is a problem heals almost instantly anyhow. Anything that doesn't heal instantly is likely something very serious and you are screwed anyhow. So doctors don't get too bothered by it. I asked about age because it almost sounded like hip arthritis to me. You aren't old enough for that obviously....
If you are very active in sports you might want to talk to a sports medicine doctor. They specialize in these kinds of injuries. As said earlier, there are so many different things that could be the cause. Most likely it is just a pulled muscle or tendon and will heal and go away. Doc
The thing is that there's no visuble inflammation. No redness or sewlling or anything, just a spike of pain every now and again for no reason. And no, it hasn't caused me to walk any differently, like I said, it's not a constant thing, it come and goes in a few seconds. And no, I am not active in sport, I am active in VU. lol. Like I said before, I have a Vitamin D defficiancy, if I was outside playing sport a lot then I wouldn't have it. lol. And yeah, I know. But I havn't really done any phisical that could pull something. :P But hopefully it does go away soon. Do you think I could get some type of painkillers or something in the meantime? Anyway, thanks for the help guys.
Vitamin D deficiency is serious. Do fix that. Soooo, no sex??? Damn man.
You might have rickets...or the equivalent adult case, idk what its called. O-something :P You're bones might be majorly weak.
How low is your vitamin D? and Have you had opeartions, breaks or strains at the spot where the pain occurs? I sometimes have sharp pains and sometimes only small irritations near the scar I have on my clavicle (collar bone) and im around your age. Maybe get a second opinion from another doctor, the more proffesional people you ask the better your chances that you will find out why the pain is occuring
I know the easiest way to fix it.... my dad always said a hacksaw was good... but i find a bandsaw is a lot quicker and normally heals faster...
Ehm, you aren't going to be able to see joint inflammation...so, no point looking.
Yes, I know. :P And yeah, like I said, I play VU not sport so, yeah, no sex. :P lol.
Yes, I did actually think it might be something like that cos I know that low Vitamin D causes weak bones. But As I said, I would have had low Vitamin D for a while now, but the pain has just started recently.
It's 30, yeah I know, pretty bad. :P And no I havn't. But yeah, maybe I should get a second opinion. Thanks.
I'll take that under consideration JLT. lol
Oh, err, I guess not. :P Silly me. lol.
Drink milk :D | ||||
Did you recently lie on a bed of nails?
I am pretty sure its not Bursitis/Tendinitis... I have had both loads of times and I can guarantee there is nothing irregular about the pain they cause. Exerting pressure on a joint with bursitis hurts.. Atm I have it in my elbow. It hurts just to rest at a desk. As someone said earlier... Most pains aren't random.. There must be something that you do that aggravates it. As soon as you figure out what that is, it'll be easier to help...
Will do. | ||||
I have had the same many many many times. For me the pain is caused by a lack of some kind of liquid (i don't know what it is, i ain't a doctor) that makes sure the bone and muscle don't get in each other's way. I tend to get this if i play a lot of rugby (pressure and not enough "motor-oil" as my ex-girlfriend said) and then the sharp pain moves south to a point just below my knee and turns into a pressing pain. Don't know if this is about the same as you have but this is what i had, my ex told me there is nothing to do about it but now i ain't sure anymore... as i think she probably liked me most if i sufferd.. :p btw she studies "movement science" direct translation as i lack a good enough english term.... bewegingswetenschappen in dutch....
Hum... well that kinda sounds like it, but as I said, I don't play sport... but maybe it doesn't need physical activity to cause it, idk. Hum... I wonder if there is anything we can do about it...
That sounds like the opposite of what I get, Willem... Also from Rugby :p I get too much fluid between the joints, causing it to become inflammed :p
Whatever you do, you always do something wrong XD
Have you gone to WebMD and entered your symptoms?
maybe you have some muscle injure,but very litle. like people doing sports have (soccer players have them a lot). not necesary to do sports to have them. Maybe an ecography (like the ones they do to see the babies ^^) can show the injure.
No I haven't, maybe I should try that.
I dont think I want to know what it is
Well... first you get some whiskey...
When I get that feeling, You should try that
lol :P | ||||
Whiskey? I'm more of a Vodka guy myself. lol.
LOL. Yes, I definitely need some of that! lol. Sooooooooo...... Ladies??? XD
