Modem/Adapter problems?
05:19:28 Sep 30th 08 - Duke Salamon: hm, yeah my friends been having issues with her ISP. It seems that her modem isnt being picked up by her adapter (thats what i think anyway) and the diagnosis reads: your modem or router is not available this stops her from getting on to the internet. Anyone know a way to fix it? her computer is a Acer aspire M1610, if that matters :P. i have a few thoughts of my own :P but lets see if you guys are on the same page as me :P or if im way off :P
05:22:14 Sep 30th 08 - Duke Salamon: We tried to get her to use the command prompt, ipconfig release and renew, but it lead to operation failed because no adapter is in the state premisable for this operation and the computer is calling the modem a unidentified network
05:25:09 Sep 30th 08 - Lord Charley Deallus: Hmm...well I disabled my modem at home by accident when I was not in my right state of mind...and I couldn't figure out how to get it to hook up to the computer anymore...sooo we switched to wireless :D
