Backupmoment availlable?

15:43:52 Feb 26th 09 - Ms. Coxy Reborn:

yeah thats what i tried, i tried to restore it to how its was a few days ago but it failed to do it for some reason, twice

15:51:51 Feb 26th 09 - Lady Santa The Blue Eyed:

About 6 months ago I couldn't restore it either so a friend advised Kaspersky. I got it, used it to scan several times and my pc was in tip-top shape again ;)

ok ima try it

16:56:46 Feb 26th 09 - Sir Deadpool:

Do a spyware scan and a virus scan. Spybot S&D and AVG are free.

17:00:19 Feb 26th 09 - Ms. Coxy Reborn:

kaspersky is scanning me now taking forever tho! :(

17:12:34 Feb 26th 09 - Ms. Coxy Reborn:

ive found a few bad files, and its given me the locations. shall i just find them and delete them?

17:22:50 Feb 26th 09 - Hentai Enema:

Go to My computer > Local disk > Windows

Then find a folder named "System 32" and delete it. It's just a folder where a lot of cookies and *beep* is stored. Just crap which won't be missed. And it might cause problems such as these.

17:26:57 Feb 26th 09 - Ms. Coxy Reborn:

pfft you didnt think id delete a file without seeing what it is first? espesh not if verll told me to do it.. gtfo >.>

17:33:03 Feb 26th 09 - Sir Magnetassium:

Can't Kaspersky delete those?

17:33:46 Feb 26th 09 - Ms. Coxy Reborn:

dunno scans not done yet, maybe itll delete them after? it hasnt offered to yet tho

17:34:38 Feb 26th 09 - Ms. Coxy Reborn:

but is it right to just delete the files? or shall i try and fix the files in case theyre important?

21:50:50 Feb 26th 09 - Archangel Argyle:

As viruses may infect important files I suggest you just google the filenames of infected files before you delete, and try to find clean copy of the files you intend to delete. Using your installation cd/dvd would be advisable (delete files and then use repair function on install cd/dvd).

what kind of operating system are you using?

00:01:19 Feb 27th 09 - Lady Santa The Blue Eyed:

With Kaspersky you should get the option to delete or fix. If its something you know thats unimportant, I'd go for delete. If its a windowsfile, search google for it and if its important, try a fix. If its not important, delete it and then use Uniblue Registrybooster 2 to remake those files :D Worked for me ;)

01:53:49 Feb 27th 09 - Ms. Coxy Reborn:

yeah well i got my sister to fix it for me. she scanned it and got rid of the viruses. but my computer still isnt the same. i can use it but the interface on my user profile is messed up, it looks really old :/ not on guest tho
