Well, I have been doing a research study on "Internet Addiction" for a little over a month now. I am currently interested in recording about how many hours people spend online in a week(The Average). I have been studying various psychologists and their own studies and wish to just get some numbers from online while also doing studies offline. Just give the average amount of hours you spent on the internet in a WEEK. Will hopefully be interesting. Please be honest now ;) | ||||

Well I usually log in as soon as I arrive at the office so I think that would make at least 5 hours a day(Is usually 2 hours late) and log in about two to three hours at home when I arrive. Not including sundays of course, well If I feel like going out anyway. I think its safe to asume that I use the internet 48 hours a week. | ||||
i am always on msn when i am not out i am on about so about 7 hours a day but i sign in on vu 9 hours a day i quickly do to ticks in the morning so about 49 hours a week but does chang cause i usally spend heaps of time with friends so about 40-60 weekends aswell | ||||

Ugh Pure I've just read your post. I hate people that say that. Its one of my pet peeves, theres posts between you and him. Obviously he isn't aiming it at you. | ||||
I would estimate it to be around 5 hours each workday and 10 hours each day off. However I do not actually sit by the computer all that time, it's more of a thing I get back to when Im not doing other stuff. (like keeping the household and doing other manly stuff. | ||||

considering i do college at home, live in the country with friends at the least 10 miles away, um I have a lot of time on the computer, say 5hours on the computer each day for games, and 5 hours on the computer for school, not counting the weekend, that 50 hours give or take a few hours each week | ||||
I am just finding things very interesting about internet addiction, being a previous addict.(I believe my personal record was 13 hours on one online game nonstop about 5-6 years ago) Hence my interest in researching this area. Defining is there really such a thing as internet addiction? Is nice to see some answers(Honest I hope) that can give me a look at different people from different areas from around the world. | ||||

Well... for me, since my job requires internet usage..lets do some math. 40+ hrs a week for work, and another 20 (I watch my baseball games on my computer) for everything else. so 60-65 depending on the week | ||||
Then don't go saying "No Life Alert" when you may have fit into the category at one time... According to research and some studies, Fun to know :p | ||||
24 hours straight? pfft... light weights... get crystal meth man, that chit can keep you going for 72 or more hours..... crack? not so much, you see that is the problem right there.... weak drugs man, get some of the real chit ;) and my answer to the poll is.... i average about 58 hours a week on the internet when i have school and bout 98 hours a week when i dont have school. 14 hours on days without school and this is almost constantly on the computer, not being on then leaving alot. | ||||
