Spring 1492 ships set sail from Lissabon. 40 ships in all they carried swordsmen, pikebearers, horses and their riders, geologists, colonists - men and women. Their mission was to find gold! Rumour had it that in the not so distant pagan lands of Benin they where digging gold out of holes in the ground! Recently and unexpectedly the mines of Toledo and Stiermark had run dry, wich where causing huge deflation damaging European economy massively. The Portuguese, market liberals and benevolent do-gooders as they where at this time already set out to correct this market anomaly.
Lets cut to the chase. Gold was found in aplenty! When the conquistadors went inland they found even more! Colonists where dispatched and 25 years later the west african colonies had expanded alot. Here is a screenie(with 3 gold provs in it!):
The second step was to establish colonies in South africa and start the search for gold in the rest of africa, and what do you know? I FOUND MORE!
Coincidently(I THINK NOT!) the bastards of Morocco decided to declare war at this time, with my troops stationed in Zanzibar(the English where figthing Oman and I didnt want them to take it all, then the English where defeated, so I figured I'd let the arabs get away this time and didnt use my troops) it took a long time getting back to Europe. When I did so I besieged Fez and the Moroccans happily accepted a white peace. But I still had Algiers to fight! And what a fight it was. Can you believe these heathen scumbags had higher military tech lvl than me? Either way, they had 20 thousand men in Tangiers, so I landed my troops on their mainland and started sieging their provinces. After a long and expensive war(NO GOLD TO SEND COLONISTS! T_T) I finally controlled most of their land and they agreed to sceede their only wheat province Kabylia. I took this province to make sure their upkeep for troops would be higher in the future(since they will have to import their wheat from yours truly :P) then to get more payoff I took the oportunity to take out the Algerians vassal Tunisia, also a wheat province.
All in all, it was a good and productive session. Next session I hope to subdue the mongols and erect a royal marrige with the japaneese. (ohh, and I need more gold as the evul spaniards has captured alot of gold from the ever so generous aztecs and incans. What? Inflation? I said we where market liberals! Inflation is merely an effect of the laws of demand and supply. now begone!).
Spain, 1492-1528 - What do you mean, "copied Portugal"?
Arriving in the New World In the year 1492, the Kingdom of Spain only had one person brave enough to go into the unknown: Cristobal Colon. Friendly relations were established with the honorable Kingdom of Portugal, and going through the Portuguese islands of The Azores, Colon quickly discovered the island of Bermuda, and from there discovered the islands of the Caribbean. A second fleet carrying an army was promptly dispatched, and started clearing away the hostile natives from the islands, which were then settled by good Spaniards.

Conquest of the pagans Spain then set it's eyes on the evil pagans of Central America, the Aztecs. Using Havanna as a stepping stone, An army of near 25,000 Spaniards under El Gran Capitán quickly moved to the capital of the wretched heathens, Zacatecas, and once that fell the Aztecs knew they were conquered, and promptly surrendered. Conquest of the Pagans, part 2 After the conquest of the Aztecs, the King decided that a supply-line would have to formed, assuring the feature conquest of the Inca people went as smoothly as possible. Several provinces were colonized and fortified, and the arrival of the eminent Hernán Cortés kicked off the war. The war was harder than the one against the Aztecs; the Inca were not prone to surrendering at the mere loss of their capital. Initially the plan was to grab a large bite of them, and finish them off later, but Cortez had even more success than expected, crushing the main Inca army, and in a few years the Inca lands were under Spanish controll.

With the swift conquest of the Aztec and the Inca, there Spain quickly became the wealthiest nation in the world. The Kingdom had suffered some inflation, partly due to minting to sustain the wars and colonization efforts, partly due to the newfound gold, but was still within the comfort zone. The Kingdom can only get wealthier in the future, with the continuous colonization of the Central American, South American and Caribbean areas which the nation has laid so far undisputed claims on.

By the Grace of God, Most Christian King of France, Duke of Brittany; Duke of Milan, Count of Asti, Count of Provence, Forcalquier and the lands adjacent; Dauphin of Viennois, Count of Valentinois and of Diois.
By 1492, the Most Serene Kingdom of France did not resemble, and nor was it but a glimmer of the Kingdom one would expect it to be for such a proud nation. But this was all soon to change. The most Benevolent King, Louis XII of France and his successor, François I, set about to expand the French territories -- through point of sword or pen, it did not matter. As France awoke from it's slumber, it was surrounded by numerous small principalities, vassals and provinces, whose sheer existence was unneccessary, and would be forgotten through the Annals of Time. One such nation, Austria, begged the aged, yet wise, Louis to come to the table, and through diplomatic channels, divide up Europe into spheres of influence -- to set borders and the like, agree to national divides and to uphold them. Louis hastely rebuffed the Austrians and politely told them to shove their terms where the sun has yet to shine.

France started out with a timid alliance. Allied to Brittany it's vassal, Savoy, its southern neighbour, and Scotland, France endeavoured to strengthen its position. Promptly, it vassalised Savoy, incorporated Lorraine into the alliance too -- again vassalising them, and waited until they joined the Kingdom. During this period of peace, war came about in an unexpected move. France found itself being asked by Scotland to honour the alliance and to join in the war vs England. Unsure as to who declared on who in this instance, France nether the less honoured the agreement and promptly joined the war on Scotland's side. Our General, Foix, seized the remaining English province on the continent -- Calais -- with ease. The English then quickly came to the negotiating table and seceded it, ending the war.
It was during this time that France continued it's program of vassalisation and annexation. Briefly interrupted by the minor fueding Italian states, France was able to capture Lombardy, with the wealthy manufacturing city of Milan from Tuscany, after they had declared war on Savoy. With the war ended, France was finally able to annex Brittany, Savoy and Lorraine. From there, France vassalised Helvetia and The Palatinat and later incorporated them into the quickly growing Kingdom of France. With the fall of 1528 drawing near, France has managed to undergo an economic reform, seize territories, and win several wars. (1528)
AD 1492, Sweden was still a vassal of Denmark. Early january, the swedish nobility declared the Kingdom of Sweden to be an independant country. The Danes contested the claim and declared war within a month. Despite having a numerical disadvantage, Sweden won her independence as well as the the provinces of Skåne and Gotland.
The following 5 years were spent developing the country's infrastructure and consolidating the gains from the war. After the truce ended, Denmark once more saw the horrors of war as the undefeatable swedish lion broke her backbone and gained the whole of Norway in the ensuing peace deal.
With Denmark broken it was time to dust off the diplomats, and ambassadors were sent to a variety of nations including Poland, Russia, England and Portugal. Also, these years saw the founding of the first swedish colony in the New World, Fästning Christina, located in an area known to the natives as Delaware.
Sweden was among the first nations to adopt the Protestant faith in the early 16th century. Curiously, so was Poland, a nation that had expressed it's plans of expansion in the now protestant north german provinces.
Sweden, being an ambitious rising power, naturally had its own interests in the region. It was thus natural to intervene on the Russian side in the Russo-Polish war. Despite having a massive numerical advantage, neither the Russians nor the Swedes managed to make any lasting gains in the war, and it ended in a white peace. The peace did not resolve any of the issues and it is still unclear who is the prominent power of north-central Europe.
This war showed the vulnerability of the kingdom as it was now clear that the army, once thought invincible, now was in shambles. A major plan for military reorganisation was thus set in motion...
Poland in 1492 was not a rich kingdom, but it was somewhat large and its fields could provide food for large armies, especially when adding the Lithuanian dutchy to the equation. The Polish provinces did not however bring in the gold neccesary to raise large armys so plans were made for expansion.
Sub chapter I

To the south lay the lands of the Moldova, it was split into three provinces, each ruled by a brother all sons of the late Moldovan king. Knowing that the easiest way of conquering lay in dividing the Polish king invited the two oldest brothers to eat dinner with him, each one at a seperate time. The Polish king told each of the brothers that he would support them in claiming the throne, the two younger brothers declined but the oldest brother who rightfully thought the entire kingdom should belong to him accepted the help. Seeing this the polish king knew that the younger brothers would not trust him. The second brother who had the northenmost and richest province one day recived an envoy from poland claiming the third brother had allied with the oldest brother, as evidence the pole told him to send scouts to the border and see if his brother had not prepared his army for invasion. The second brother sent his scouts to the south and there the youngest brothers army was, preparing for war right at the border. The second brother was furious, how could the youngest brother side with the oldest? He should know the oldest brother could not be trusted, he had always wanted the entire realm for himself! Now he turned to the Polish king begging for assitance, the Polish king told him he would get what he needed, but that it could take some time, in the meantime he was given intel on how large his younger brothers army was, and seeing that it was almost a third smaller then what he had the second brother decided to attack. He led his army south to the border where his brothers army was, and they started charging towards each other, both brothers died hating each other, not knowing about the deal made between the Poles and the Ottomans. The Ottomans had like the Poles told the third brother his two brothers were conspiering against him and had him spy on his two brothers, finding out they had both been at the polish kings castle he mobilised his army and sent it north to defend the border. Now the Polish soldiers came to the second brothers lands, but since the ruler was gone the people turned to the polish the defend them against the oldest brother, and thats the tale of how Jedisan was added to the Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth.
Chapter 1 continued
To the north west the german hanseatic league was a powerfull force and they were allied to the German orders in the north east. The Russians obviously had plans to get hold of the german oders Rich lands, because they went to war with the Oders. Seeing the Orders was occupied the Polish king declared war, first fighting a major battle with the Hanseatic league then going forwards to siege all their provinces, when all the major towns had fallen into Polish hands they were forced into vassalisation. Peace was then made with the Order, and 500 ducats were sent to the Hanseatic league to improve relations and to help them finish their wars.
Chapter II
The Russians had long wanted a piece of the Lithianian lands, and they now delcared war trying to grab some lands, this didnt go as planned when the Polish army crushed three or four large Russian armys in a row they decided to throw in the towel and white peace was declared.
Now Brandenburg declared war on our vassals in the the Hanseatic League and the king who sufferd from a temporary insanity led his huge army to the lands of Brandenburg, he slautherd the men and raped the women, then he got bored and went back home to his estate, forcing the generals to take the peaceoffer giving Kustrin to poland. After this the Hanseatic League was annexed.
Now the Russians declared war on my vassals in Lithuania again, I promised them 2 pronvices from Lithuania, but they wanted more so I declared war aswell, soon the Swedes attacked me again making my life hard, I sent my best general to fight the swedes and two large armys to lithuania that was funded by Austrian and French money. I eventually won after I long battle getting white peace.
The English started out with most of the mighty Great Britain, a decent sum of gold, and a weak economy. The King was not pleased with Englands current state, so he gave the fullpower of ruling to his advisor Spoon.
Spoon did not want to know anything about colonizing just yet. He heard rumours of Danish colonies near a new found land, way up in the north. With this he declared war and demanded to know the Danish progress in exploring. After succesfully having sieged the Danish capital two provinces were shown. The English took over one of these two provinces, and a province next to the Danish capital and near Sweden and Poland. Perhaps the greedy English could sell this later on.
Halfway through the war the northern neighbours of England, the Scots declared war. With it's powerfull allies the French England soon signed peace with France, practically exchanging Calais for Scotland.
In the meantime explorations were expanded trough diplomatics, soon a way to India was described, and the existance of a new land was. England started claiming some provinces there, in the way of trading posts.
But then suddenly it became black, and Spoon didn't remember what happened anymore.. Err.. Yeah, I fell asleep =P
Very fast from me taking power of the Austrian nation the french had managed to involve themselves in a war with switzerland. As fast as possible the swiss was invaded. But their capital was hold by frances ally, Savoy. I knew that the french was waiting for me to make peace with the swiss so that france could take whatever was left. But i saw this sceam and waited for peace.
But then something unexpected happend. Pfalz, Baden and Wurtemburg all joined in the war on Switzerlands side. Now the Austrian military under the enlightend guidance of the high command had to act even faster.
The military high command sent the Hungarian troops to baden, and the Bavarian troops to Wurtemburg. Meanwhilst the Austrian troops where sent to the bigger duchy of Pfalz. Baden and Wurtemburg where both annexed and Pfalz was forced to scede Mainz, half of their duchy.
In the early 1500:s the Austrian emperor sent diplomats to the french king with the aim of discussing future borders between the nations. The diplomats got the instructions to offer the provinces of Artois and France Comté(which had a substantial french population). In exchange the french would ensure the liberty for all germans under the Austrian flag.
The diplomats where unfortuenaly turned down even before they where able to make an offer. It became obvious a french invasion was imminent. In response to this the high command of the military forces of the serene empire of Austria decide to expand its defencive structures along the border with france and put the army on high alert.
Sure enough, france attacked and annexed a german duchy. And as we all know all germans are protected by the Emperor of Austria. It was obvious that the French wanted the Austrians to be the agressors and take the first step. But the emperor said that he would not be made a fool of.
The English were behind a bit after the last session. Now they have tried catching up with the best, or atleast, laying the base for that. Which in the English opinion has succeeded.
War with Denmark Once again England had a war with Denmark, a concurrent as a naval power. Together with Sweden who claimed the Danish capital the war has started. The English once again claimed Iceland and the remaining province in Greenland under Danish control.
The war had only just begun, yet the province in Greenland has already succesfully been sieged.
While England was warring for more land, the English empire also continued settling in England, aswell as a new land called India. Soon it appeared that the natives had hidden wealth, which they did not use. England was bothered by the ignorance of these native countries and prepared an assault to conquer the area of India. Within months it became clear England had the biggest force in the area, and wars are about to start.
The last but most important thing occured in the islands of Great Britain is that the Scottish realms were annexed by our almighty country! The island was now united! Except for one small area.
England is unfortunately unable to colonize or conquer this small group of islands. Hopefully this thorn in the eye will be wiped of the map.

The Portuguese court 1564 was a mirror of slaraffenland. Dancing eunucks, slave girls and boys tending to your every need, fresh dates, grapes and other luxuries eaten with ivory forks from gold plates. From the african gold mines came much of the portuguese wealth, but Portugal had also established itself as one of the dominant trading nations with traders competing all over the globe. On top of that the small iberian kingdom was also the top supplier of ivory, slaves and lewd midgit actors. To sum this part of the AAR up: We are climbing the income ranking and are looking fine!

Land gains during this period where scarce, continued coloniztiong in west and south africa where going as sheduled and we also struck a deal with the chineese resulting in one of their colonies. On top of that we also established a good foothold on Java.

The main achievement for this session was the infrastructural development. Along with France, Spain and the Ottomans we are way ahead the other nations in infrastructure technology. Chief Judges and Mayors where during these years appointed in many provinces, a work that will continue for a couple of more years. In the future we are looking forward to a much more effective administration!

A PORTUGUESE AFTER ACTION REPORT, 1564-1613 -Spice it up!
Fifty years has passed and alot have happened. There where alot of European wars wich we stayed out of. Portugal is still in the middle of the pack but havent gained much income, though we have gained alot of land! In the future though, it will be much harder to stay out of the European wars since the stakes are higher and the pressure to pitch in on either side rises, if the shrewd Portuguese king continues to play both sides he may end up with no friends at all. Instead of joining in the wars we issued a crusade on africa wich was a complete success, and after another short campaign Morocco and Algiers where annexed. During this period our trade income dropped, but at the end of the session it was back to its former glory. Our expansion in the east indies during this session has made us the dominant power in spice trade.

In south africa the expansion was going steadily, the african colonisation could go alot faster, mainly becouse we have spent alot of colonists in the west indies during this period. Next session this is going to change, then we will only be concentrating in building up an african colonial empire.

Another thing that will be resolved in the beginning of next session is our crusade on the Dai Viet and Myanmar heathen tribes. We plan to take as much land as possible from them to establish a foothold on the asian continent.
Chapter III: When Sigismund the old died, Poland reached far and wide. He had been a guide, in a world of violence on him we all had relied.
But a Sigismund anew came to power, in such a dark hour. He came with a great sugestion With Lithuania ,he said, we will be united, our enemys will suffer, of that there is no question!
When war spread across the land, polands armies where grand. To france we went, to hear that sexy accent. Many battles we fought, peace came without change but the enemy a lesson was taught!

Not much happend to Poland between 1528 to 1564, we had a pretty slow expansion, taking Ruthenia from the Hungarians and Lugansk from the Crimeans, in two fast wars.
Soon after this Austria annxed first Bohemia then Hungary becomming a huge force in Europe, the French who now felt threatend and wanted a stronger position in relation to Austria declared war. The w*beep*emed to go good for France to begin with but their expansion was slowed down and then Venice joined the war on the Austrian side and the war turned to a catastophy for France who now was in a weak position to Austria who became the dominant player in Europe. Austria later secured the alligence of the remaining Protestant electorates in northen germany.
In the 1560's also called the burning 60's the stake burning the grand Polish inquisition brought, by 1566 Poland was completly converted to Protestantism. And by the end of the decade after polish preassure Lithuania was joined with Poland.
Chapter IV
With Lithuania merged to poland we got a a whole new bunch of heretics, so we had to begin the grand Lithuanian Inquisition.

Soon after the merger we went to war with Russia claiming Prussia and Poltosk, two provinces with "baltic" culture, a culture that was considerd a polish culture, I had prepared well for teh war having 3 large armies, all with leaders. The war got complicated however when sweden intervened and I had to move my best leader to Germany, money from France made it go easier.
After this war I finally converted the last catholics in lithuania, and I could start conquering muslim provinces, I took the two last remaining Crimean provinces, both with mongol culture wich is also acceped within the Polish realms.
Chapter V:
Austria had traded maps with Portugal and explored the Northen pacific
Asian coast colonising inland, creating a VAST domain in the east, even
making them the largest grain producer (wich means they can support the
largest armies). So they were like me interested in attacking Russia
again, we created an Alliance to take a few provinces from the Russian
grasp.
This new war with Russia of course wasnt popular, Portugal long lobbied for an alliance against Poland and Austria, an alliance was created but Portugal did not join, instead the war was fought between Poland and Austria on one side and France and Spain on the other. The war involved large armys and it was mainly fought on French soil, in the end after many larger battles fought no side could win a major victory over the other and white peace was agreed on. The war with Russia had continued in Siberia where he and Austria fought bitter battles. 1612 I joined the war with Russia again and peace negotiations was almost done in 1613.
Continued colonization The colonization of the New World continued with unrelenting speed. There were no longer any pagans in the Spanish Americas, but there were other heathens close by. The protestants of England and Sweden, and later even Poland, ruthlessly seized land marked out for good catholic folk. Though the king could not condone their heathen religion, he recognized that there was enough land for everyone in the New World. At least the northern part of it; the southern was strictly for Spaniards.
Spanish Argentina
During these years the catholic leader in Austria betrayed his religion and formed an unholy alliance with Poland, watching idly as the Polish king slaughtered good catholics in his land. They then proceeded to ruthlessly attack the less fortunate Russians, whose Orthodox religion the catholic Spaniards could almost relate to. When the protestants in Sweden joined in on the savage attack on Russia, the Spanish king could no longer just idly watch, and formed a most holy alliance with the Kingdom of France. The war had it's ups and it's downs, but in the end what ended it was the unexpected attack by the English and the Swedes, who had allied up for the occasion. The holy alliance decided it would rather deal with those who had attacked it, and ended the first war, and started committing all it's forces to the new threat. Peace negotiations are under way.
During this time acquisitions in Asia were made, as one of the few who had not acquired the Asian maps from Portugal. The Philippines were colonized, and the puny Muslims in Malacca were conquered.

At the same time Spaniard colonizers were busy settling what was left of South America, as well as forming Spanish North America on the west coast of the northern continent.
The great leaders of Spain, England, France and Sweden have decided to officially partition the territories of North America. Any war of aggression with the aim of seizing one or more of these provinces from it's rightful owners will not be tolerated. The deal will last till 1750, after which any territory not already colonized is available to be taken by any who so wishes.
The Siam War 1613-1616 While other European powers where fighting over land in Siberia, Germany and America the Portuguese took the opportunity to increase their holdings in east asia. The war was waged during several years, on Java the armourers where working double shifts to supply the men with arms and provisions. Ships then carried the troops and landed them in enemy territory. After the very bloody war both Dai Viet and Myanmar where totally overrun. Peace was conluded: Dai Viet was forced to scede 2/3 of their lands, Yunnan, Lao Cai, Mekong, and Perak. Myanmar sceded Sarakham, Bangkok, Phuket and Johor. The small nation of Vientiane was annexed. The new colony was given the name Siam by the Portuguese. A great feast was held at the colonial capital at Mekon with lots of midgit porn actors performing.
The Great Embargo vs Venice In the beginning of the 17th century Portugal had very good relations with Venice, had it not been for Portuguese maps, harbours and military intervention the spiring italian colonies in the east indies could not have come to place. But Portuguse merchants had long pesterd the court about how their Venetian advesarrys where putting them out of business. In fact Venice dominated trade worldwide.As a new King, Filipe III rose to the throne the merchants guild of Tago once again tried to set the agenda and maneged to convince him of the great riches they could bring him if Venice where out of the picture. Secreatly, the King contacted some of his European cousins for an economic alliance. The idea was to simply ban Venetian merchants from their respective countries. Soon the alliance grew as others where also aware of the direness of the situation. And so it came to be that in the second decade of the 17th century, Portugal, Spain, France, Sweden and the Ottoman Empire issued a total embargo against all Venetian trade.
The Great War 1617-1621 Just a few years after the embargo versus Venice a great conflict arose in Europe. Poland and Austria had for a long time waged a war against Russia without getting a resolution. France, Spain and Sweden - who supported Russia against the Emperor - decided to declare war. They demanded that the French areas currently under Austrian rule should be handed over, that Holstein be given to Sweden and that the Austrian east asia holdings in Vietnam and Cambodia be turned over to Spain. Poland/Austria refused this most generous proposal and war began! Venice, who had been embargoed by the Latin/Scandic alliance decided to join on the other side. This is when Filipe III, or as we call him in Portugal - Filipe the Just - decided to also join. Twentyfive thousand cavalrymen where landed in Naples. From there they moved up to marche where they beat a Venetian army sieging the Spanish city if Ancona, then they moved up on the east coast of Italy capturing Bologna and Mantua. When all of Italy was occupied by allied cities, the army led by our greatly hung general, move up via France and in to north Germany. There they besieged the Austrian vassalship of Hannover. Unfortunatly a Austrian army came to their rescue leaving no Portuguese survivers. Luckily, by now, peace was concluded. The demands of the benevolent alliance where met by Poland/Austria. Also included in the deal was a cessation of hostilities versus Russia and as a reward for the Portuguese war effort the Venetian colonies in east india where ceded. These consisted of the Molucs and Timor.

First Chineese War 1620-1622 In the ending stages of the Great War in Europe something happened that led to the Portuguese not contributing more to the effort. The vast empire of China declared war on our glorious realm. Their goal was to force us to give back what they thought we had stolen from their new allies Myanmar and Dai Viet. As we where not ready for this war, we fended off the attacking armies and signed a white peace. But an idea was born, perhaps we could try to reclaim our old holdings in China? Or more?
Second Chineese War After another diplomatic insult from the Myanmar emissary the world community all agreed that casus belli where in place. A few months later our troops disembarked in Bangkok and war was declared. Thirty thousand men entered China in the first wave. What we found was shocking! China was in an uproar and it was clear the plebs did not have faith for their leaders. Hordes of peasants fought wichever army they met, foreign or domestic. We tried to explain how we would be better rulers over them but they wouldnt listen, perhaps they dont know Portuguese? Anyway, we killed them all. Suddenly, the Chineese goverment fell, the new goverment made peace with all their current foes - we where content with what we currently controlled Hunan, Guangdong, Guizhou and the trade center of Guangzhou. Our attention turned to Myanmar and after a quick campaign we could add Chin, Shan, Kwai, Bago and Assam to our Siam colony. Great success!
Third Chineese War After our departure from China in the last war the situtation worsened. Death and despair reigned. China had been parted in two, the northern part ruled by savage Manchu tribes. Then another disaster hit China, the Manchu invaded! We could not sit idly while evil forces got control over China, so we also invaded. In the end the war was a setback. We only managed to pry one province from Chineese hands before their goverment fell once again.

Trade and diplomatics During these years many others things happend. New manufacturies where built, the west african colonies where expanded. A deal of division of africa/arabia was signed with the Ottomans who had become increasingly friendly after the embargo agaisnt Venice started. In 1667 Portugal have risen to have the 3rd highest income in the world! But our lands are still very underdeveloped and we lack in technology, this is much due to the disastorous loan crisis of the 16th century and the dire stabilityproblems we've been having during the 17th centrury. The upcoming years we need peace and stability so we can set this straight!

I suggest the following: Nimics infla be dropped to 6% (by 4.4%) Ghoumas infla be dropped to 0.8% (by 2.2%) I get to move my capital to africa for the cost of loss of my manu and 50k pop in Tago.
When it comes to Nimic/Ghouma its fair that Nimic gets more compensation since his event(s?) where much worse and unavoidable. But he shouldnt either get too much compensation as he is afterall the most powerfull.
When it comes to me, 48 manpower just isnt fun especially not as time progresses and everyone else will be cranking out hundreds of thousands of troops.
(ohh, and as atm i would get 77k manpower from africa, this will of course rise a little from more colonies, but I dont think I will get close to any of you even so)
I got 214k. I remember Ghouma having trouble last session so I thought I'd go for some additional manpower instead of economy. I didn't need it so far =/
Without meaning to sound whiny, I think dropping my inflation by 4.4% is poor compensation for an event that upped it by 10%, as well as doing a bunch of other *beep*. I'm not sure it's fair if my "compensation" is tuned down because I'm Spain and I'm doing good so far (which Spain isn't biggest by 1650?).
I do agree on the moving of the capital. 3 manufactories sounds hefty enough ([whine] coincidentally one of the effects of my last decline event [/whine]).
I think we should give Nimic full compensation for the events, the players will balance themself if one gets to strong I think. I dont need anything fixed since my events are not part of the decline thing I think. They always appear if im correct.

It stared off with alot of blood, Russia refused to surrender, even though the country bled, but it recived tons of money from the rich colonial opressor countrys in Europe. As the war continued, Spain, France, Portugal and Sweden soon joined the war on Russias side making it 2.5:1 in country ratio not counting that we colonial powers had sufferd a very high war exauhstion. Seeing that the colonial powers had no honour what so ever, Austrian diplomats traveled to the Dodge asking for assistance, the Dodge said he would help since he had somewhat of a feud with the colonial powers who had unfairly isolated Venice from the international trade.
Poland mainly fought Russia, the Swedish front was very hard to get to since the Swedes had put the best comander in the century in a swamp province only acceseble when marching over a river. We continued the dominance over Russia but the colonial coalition was to strong in the west and we had to surrender provinces, Austria bordre provinces to france, Venice colonys and me Holstein.

Chapter VII
After this major bloodbath things settled down, we had some things happening that did real bad things to our treassury and domestic policys. But finally we also had a chance to do some researching finally reaching level 5 infrastructure and being able to create goods manufactury's, we saved money for decades and finally we buit every manufactory we had ever dreamed about.
The dark period finally is over, peace reigns from Moscow to Dover. The polish dream of land built on faith had slowly turned into a European wraith. Hunting thoose who commit injustice, punishing the Franco-Spanish axis.

After 21 years of war against russia we had to finally surrender to the
allies of the Tsar. We had offered a deal that would benefit the

emperor has declared himself the protector of the Han people.

Chpater VIII
We continued building up poland for a time, started searching for new places to colonise but almost everything was already occupied, we traded but not efficiently, Poland seemed to be completly without growth. Although our income sometimes increased and we peaked at slightly above 200 when we had been lucky in trading. But our income soon fell again, the only thing doing something was the infrastructure investment. Let me explain how this situation came to be;
I already told you about how the evil nations of the world signed a pact togehter, The Alliance of evil and wrong. They were all colonial powers with large possibilitys overseas, together they could control the seas and they could dominate the trade. And they did, they were superior in numbers, the core of the alliance was made out of Spain and france and the lesser members that nevertheless did what Madrid told them was Russia and Sweden. England and Portugal also was part of the pact, they both contributed to the dominance over the economy and would follow orders from Madrid although not as vissibly as Russia would.
The continenal alliance of Good and Right is something else, it cosists of countries that are not imperialsitic, with its base in large homogenous landmasses, it consists of Poland and Austria. Helping us sometimes is Venice and once the Ottoman empire.
Chapter IX
Poland had gotten another conquistador and we sent him to New Guinei and we set up 2 new colonys there. We heard strange reports from traders who had been to a land called Nippon, they said how terrible the rulers where to the peasents in that land, and the polish monarch set out to save the people of Nippon from their evil rulers. We sent a large expedition with one hundred thousand soldiers over the seas. Our invasion came as a surprise and it was very succesfull, but at this moment France, Spain and Russia all declared war on Austria. He could not win against theese odds hinself so the Polish king felt forced to help him, he started recruiting an army and began talks with the Ottoman empire who accepted to help us fight.
War didnt go very good in the West but in the East Poland and Ottoman empire crushed the Russians, we sent some troops west but they only slowed the French advance not halting it. Austria was down and accepted peace, we felt reluctnt to surrender but both us and the Ottoman empire didnt want to get gangbanged so we also laid down our arms, we surrenderd the Polish Falklands ilands where a trade center lay. Chapter X
We had been forced to make a white peace with Nippon after the war started since we got occupied in Europe, but we sent another armada east and declared war. The Spanish saw what we did and declared war themself just after to try and steal it from us enslaving the Japanese people again, they had higher ranking officers then we had and stole our sieges. But a fierce Japanese resistance movement led by the mighty Nacknuma Nackamura forced the spanish the settle for a lot less then they had hoped for, the spaniards took the southern part, we took the northen and the old Goverment remained in the southern part.

This didnt do much to help our stagnation though, while other nations soared and built empires we remained the same size, if we are to be a powerfull player in Europe Poland must get a stronger European position, but since the exapanding nations all banded together in a dark alliance I lack hope for this.
