Giants of football knock out fellow giants. I am proud of our effort. West Ham 1 - 0 Oxford Utd
Scott Parker spared West Ham's blushes by scoring the winner deep into injury time to overcome League Two's Oxford in the Carling Cup second round. The visitors forced keeper Marek Stech into good saves from James Constable and Asa Hall while Simon Heslop and Harry Worley went narrowly wide. Parker came close 10 minutes from time while Carlton Cole had an effort ruled out for offside after 88 minutes. As extra-time loomed, Parker converted Frederic Piquionne's cross. The timing was harsh on the visitors who had been stubborn and organised throughout and at least deserved a crack at the Hammers in extra-time. But while West Ham manager Avram Grant will be thankful to have avoided a cup giant-killing, this performance only laid bare the size of his task at Upton Park.
wow those teams are amazing ^_^
Chesterfield are above Oxford just as i predicted, where be you swiffers?
