Which is best? i don't have either atm and am planning on getting one soon.
But i heard that Xbox 360 has Xbox live while PS3 have playstation home. And that you gotta pay $99 a year for xbox live whereas playstation home is free and a bit better (from what i hear)

So what do you guys think? which is best?

you heard wrong, ps3 online is terrible hence why its free

if you want to be playing online then you should choose xbox without a doubt

I think it all depends on what kinds of games you like to play. RPG's and games like that are better represented at the PS3. XBOX is more oriented to shooters and sports games i think.

In general PS3 is more oriented for the asian market with ditto games i think.

ps3 is a bit better but x box has more games that are good. ps3 online is not very good but its free, xbox is pricey online. I have both but I hate x box atm. lol

Stirlin, the base price is 99.000 a year but all the map packs etc etc are where they get ya.

I agree with Millman.

I pay $49.99 for Gold Xbox Live Membership, and that is a 14 month subscription.  I use the Xbox for Netflix as well as map downloads, Zombies rule!.

Now Xbox 360 does not support BluRay media, while PS3 does, and if you look at the cost of BluRay players that support live updated content, your better off with a PS3 as you also get a gaming system for the same cost.

Here is also what I see, PS3 games in the used market are abundent and cheap!  While Xbox 360 games are plentyful yet only about 5-6 USD cheaper than the new game.  Average used price for PS3 games is about $15 for current titles, average for Xbox 360 is about $38 for about 1 year old titles, at least from what I see with my local stores.

So if your very budget minded, PS3 more bang for buck and lots of cheap used games.  Xbox 360 is more spendy but has a lot more to offer, and online content is almost bulletproof.

About the banning from Xboxlive. The only banned people I've personally ever heard about, were pirates (Ahrg!), didn't hear of anyone innocent :S

ps3 online uses quite a bit of dl from what i have seen.
xbox uses alot less dl but comes with the cost for xbox live.

i recon the online for either of them are really good but if u dont wanna use tonnes of dl i would recommend xbox live.

pretty much lol it just really depends on what games u want to. xbox has halo and other games and ps3 have games lyk resistance 2 (not sure bout any others)

pretty much just consider b4 playing what games u want to play, whether or not u want to pay to play online and how much dl u want to use.
