Ignorance is bliss eh? Everyone who wanted to watch the game watched it...the official score remained 2-2, but that doesn't mean it should have stayed that way. Either way, was a fun game to watch.

A bunch of people probably don't care because of several possible reasons:
a) They like sports where there is action always going on because they are impatient as f*ck.
b) They find football(Soccer) too cool for them and they wimp out ;)
c) They obviously suck at it(And still somehow do decent against the top world powers) so they decide to not watch it out of protest.
d) They like other sports more that are obviously more fun(hah).

Well it's not like Americans don't like watching the world cup. Actually most of us do watch it. And we love to see our team do well. It's just that we aren't basing our status in the world on how good our sports team is. The efforts of our team does not represent everything about America. Of course they do represent us, but we have other things to base our world status on other than Fußball (going German here), like nuking Asians, or invading numerous lands, or being fat, or being the most awesome country in the world. You Europeans are too busy insulting other countries to realize that your own country isn't too shabby either. And yes I realize Europe isn't a county, I'm talking of the countries in Europe.

But yeah you are right about one thing, Americans are pretty damn impatient. At least we don't boo our team off the field though if they play poorly.

Eh, the US soccer team really has nothing to lose and everything to gain anyhow. No one respects them, americans even forget they exist except for a couple weeks every 4 years. Apparently the viewership of this world cup is shattering old records, up 40-50% from previous years. That said, only 6 million or so (of 310 million total) watched the Algeria game.

If they win, yay, everyone loves a winner. If they lose.....pft, no big deal. Like I said, there's really no downside to them losing....and certainly no disappointment. Losing is expected and even ties are celebrated.
