unfortunately, thats not always the case. some situations allow police to enter without one. for instance, a friend of mine was hanging with a 16 year old from his job who turned out to be a runaway, the kid called his house from my friends house, leaving his number on their called id which allowed the police to enter for something to do with harboring a runaway, not to clear on the details, but it was within an hour after the call when they got there at 3 in the morning, so im pretty sure no warrant was obtained.

I work security I've seen some effed up sheeeet in the 4 years I've worked. There are corrupt cops out there. So heres my story, 2 cops come into a building where I had been working but I myself was off duty. A security guard and the 2 cops escorted this 6'3 man about 230 pounds, to the elevator and managed to get handcuffs on him, he calms down for the beginning of the elevator ride down to the police car but about half way down he 1 shot elbows the 2 cops in the face while they were standing behind him in the escort position and he basically knocked the 2 cops out. So then the one security guard is struggling with him and police backup was on the way with the security guards request by radio. 4 squad cars and 8 cops arrived like 1 minute after the call, Ambulance was on site after 5 minutes to tend to the injured policemen. The other 8 cops eventually gained control of the prisoner and that is where things get really bad.
