Swedish History

I took controll over a some what powerfull sweden. When I started i was already in war against Kristen Poland but got offered peace fast and started too look west ward against Denmark-norway. Later on in the game i got invited into a alliance with poland, i accepted in hope of not getting attacked by russia witch seemed at the time too strong for me.  but having my still having my eyes on Denmark witch got weaker and weaker for every year.

The "Great War"

The Great War as everyone called it was for me not so great. Me and Kristen was planning on annexing Denmark when suddenly Lithuania declared war on Russia. After alot of talking we agreed to help our allies against Russia in hope of a quick peace. Then, a Strong Ottoman empire started to act Police over known Europe and declaring his support for Russia aiding them with alot of gold witch was for Loves(Ottoman empire) eyes jsut a few goldcoins to give away but in the rest of the world Alot of money. :)

    Swedish troops didn't enter Russian soil for many years hopping for a white peace but after being turned down 3 times they started to march against muscow taking the provinces in between first. After camping outside 3 provinces in witch one was the great trade city Novgorad(was about to take after Russia failed a few times to kill my army there), Russia asked for peace. Sweden as being the leader of their alliance and Russia being the leader of their, we thought that the war would end between poland, lithunia and sweden against Russia so we acepted. But we got decieved, Russia had only asked for peace with us so the war between poland and Russia continued with our help, In witch turned the tides for the russians, gaining one city after another. Then disaster struck, Golden Hordes declared war upon Lithuania as a loyal allied i went to war with them on Lithuanias side but Poland declined  adn there fore getting kicked out of the alliance, and when they got kicked Ottoman empire declared war on Poland being without a alliance they stood on their own. When realising this, Sweden asked Poland to join the Alliance in hope of getting into the war with Ottomans but that never happend, but a few months later Ottomans ceased their attacks and peaced Poland, in much relief for Sweden.The war dragged on between Russia against Poland and Lithuania.After a few years and about a dozen threats from different European Powers, Peace broke out in the east.

"Taking over Norway"

While the war with russia raged on, Denmark got alot of problems with rebels and then a few nations was created, Norway (having only 2 provinces) and Gotland on the island called Gotland. Lord Lyko of Sweden saw his moment of unifing Norway with Sweden and declared war on the remaining Denmark. In some cordinated attacks sweden was in control of half on Norway and had landed a force of 20000 infantry, 5000 cav and 20 cannons on Denmarks home soil.After taking all their provinces in Norway and on their home ground including the capital i stil couldn't annex Denmark so i had to satisfy ma greed with taking all their provinces exept their capital.

And there's where the game ended, Alot of fun i would say. in the beginning i didn't think anyone would try to war the human players but i was wrong :D

Tomorrow we'll probably see how this will continue, if the Ottoman empire still will be the greatest nation or if they will fale in a disasterous war against some one else. IF Russia will continue the peace with Poland and the swedes .. well u'll see next time:)

In the beginning of 1523, Russia was still at war versus the aggressive poles and their vassal Lithuania since they had backstabbed Russia while fighting the mongols. Although Russia had taken control of large parts of the lithuanian plains, Poland refused to acknowledge a defeat and kept on attacking. The Tsar, knowing that a prolonged war would not be gentle on the russian people, signed a white peace with the poles in hope for later revenge.


Pskov, having been allied with the russians for over 30 years and seen their greatness in many wars, joined the glory of the Russian Empire in 1527.

The celebrations and peace lasted for a decade, and was not limited to within Russia. The Tsar, in pure goodwill, let king Lyko of Sweden marry his beautiful daughter, resulting in a signifigant improvement in the countries' relations!


Before the year of 1540 had arrived, the filthy lithuanians and poles, this time under the rule of king Kristen, declared war upon Russia once again. This time, they were even accompanied by the swedes!

The russians, led by some of the best generals in entire europe, recieved a series of victories over the invading forces and quickly went on an offensive to the lithuanian plains. After little resistance, Lithuania offered to scede the territories of Kursk and Vorones in exchange for a seperate peace with Russia.

After the victory over Lithuania, the swedes attacked russian territories. In despise of the swedish treatchery, the Khalif openly expressed his support for the russian people in their war against Sweden. Not given much of a choice, the swedes accepted the russian offer for a white peace.

The poles, abandoned by their allies and utterly crushed by the russian forces, had to realise they were defeated and accepted the Tsar's generous peace offer, where Russia was given the provinces of Kurland and Memel in exchange for peace.


In the end of the game, the Khalif was joyous over the russian victory and in march 1545 he promised to help the Tsar and his people in taking the great steppes!

i downloaded it but when it gets to initializing graphics. It encounters a problem and has to shut down.

Anyone know what the problem might be?

Ok heres my AAR For Austria in the Era of WARS

First war with Spain

Spain declared war on France Along with Poland I Honourd my Map with France, it was a Very long war in which the ottoman empire decided to declare war on Austria making it 3 vs 1, Austria was forced to surrender Istria to the ottomans, after this I managed to Gain Veneto from Spain.

War With Sweden

About 20 secs after the war with Spain and Poland Ended Sweden declared war on Austria

Demanding the Dutch provinces was ludicrious and so a long war ensued with all Swedish Forces in the Netherlands defeated. after much political pressure a white peace was signed.

Second war with Spain.

Another long war with Spain came about. France and Austria allied and beat Spain back into Italy. Spain surrender a province to Nimic but war Continued between a weak Austria and Spain. Using spare cash to build troops in Holland Austria was able to push back the Spanish troops from the Austrian capital. Peace was found when veneto was surrenderd back to Spain

Ottoman Empire, an Empire under the Sun

In 1492 when this game stasrted the grande Ottoman Empire had just a puny income of 50 per month. It was a small backward country in little Asia. But now, 1598 over 100 years later the Ottoman Empire spans from the Adriatic sea to the Bengali Gulf. We have an income of 250 gold each month and our people live in whealth. Truly, we have expanded in an extrodinary rate!

The Growth of an Empire

Between 1553 and 1598 the Ottoman Empire has done many things. One of the first was to ally with the Mughal empire and attack the dominons of the Persians. The war was fought long and the Persians resisted the Ottoman occupation, but finaly their nation caved and became a part of the Ottoman Nation, but to avoid rebellions they where given some autonomity, which stated that Persian internal affairs would be handled by a court of the people, whilst the external affairs should be decided by the muslim holy Khalif, the Sultan of the Ottoman Turks. It also stated that Persia would pay an annual tibute to the Khalif.

Further more the decision was taken by the Khalif to expand further to the east and claiming India. This was also done, all land in india would belong to the Ottomans and their Heirs. This claim was recognized by many european states. To start the control of the Indian peninsula an Ottoman capital was created for the future provins, it was called Eskisehir 8000 Ottoman officals where moved there during a period of 5 years. During theese 5 years the Sunnite Bengals had approved of Ottoman Sovreignity and signed a deal similar to that of the Persians, though without any bloodshed.

Many attempts where made to incorporate the Mughals into our realm, but they where resisting the inevitable. Altou the support for the Ottomans has a strong base in the Mughal court the Emperor himself opposes Ottoman "Imperialism" as he calls it. If he does not sign a peaceful treaty war might become necessary.

After theese matters where finished the Mamelucks and the Crimean Khanat was incorporated peacfully into the Ottoman Empire. New Technology also allowed the appointment of Governors all over the Empire, this greatly strengtend the hold of the provinses of the Empire. But soon the Khalif saw a problem, coins where running low and the Empires forts and defence positions where greatly outdated compared to the European standard. But where could this money be saved from? It was decided to until further notice supsend all foreign aid until further notice. The money saved was used to build fortresses all over the nation.

Austria where forced to cede Istria to the Ottoman Empire in a show down. Nubia was also attacked by the Ottomans. Little to nun resistance was expected by them but they fought bravely and many thousands of imperial soldiers where killed in the desert. The Khalif suspects that they recived support from their fellow Orthodox nation, Russia who had grown big when annexing Lithuania. Nubian resistance was futile and their end came rather soon than later. But since they where an orthodox nation they where given freedom of religion and right to decide their own internal policies. Just like Persia and Bengal.

To total cost for all nations for the war of Crain is proably about 15.000 gold to this point and the war aint over yet.

          Sweden 1593-1630

   Things were going easy. Peace had come to our kingdom and doing so we annexed Norway 2 last provinces(Bergenhus and Narvik) the diplomatic way,witch meant that we got their standing army on 40k inf and 2 warships. having our allies and vassals Norway and Holstein secured and keeping a good relation ship with them we started to look west. We realised that we had a colony alrdy at the tip of canada.Probably the replacement sent some colonists there when the king put him in charge instead of me when i had a lovly a vacation hunting some russian infidels at the border. Anyway we started to build the colony up to a town and in the same time we got a trade center stationed there.Witch by all means were very good to our economy.

In this prosperous peace witch lasted a few years we built up our colony and started to reform sweden. My king mad me decide if a wanted to reform the navy or military and that was a easy choose. We need the military more to have a improvements against the hordes of Russia and poland witch now had and alliance probably against us.Evil only comes from their minds we usually say. Suddenly we got a messages from Denmark that they didn't want to be vassals anymore instead they wanted to apart of our kingdom and we happily agreed and a few months later Holstein asked the same thing and this meant that our army grew and more gold came in every month. Witch was really nice for the Swedish Kingdom now we were almost a power to reckon(i really don't know how this word is typed but i hope u guys understand what i mean (: )  with if russia wanted to attack us. and with our home land secured and prosperous we looked to our ppl that was slaved in the evil empire of Russia and started to plot a plan to take over Ingermanland. Suddenly (again) luck striked Sweden. The ottomans wanted a alliance with us, making our plans much easier to conduct.

The war for Ingermanland

Out of no where different world powers started to claim china for their own and as a Swedish nation we didn't care much about china. But our allies did so we supported them against the russians and spanish ppl that laid claim to china also. And this gave us a excellent oppurtunity to attack russia to state that we (as an alliance) were serious about our claims. So Sweden declared war with Gustav Adolf II in command of our armies, and he proved to be very good asset. After laying siege for Ingermanland for a couple of months they surrenderd to us, we withdrew to our borders to stay away from the evil Russian winter and to supply the army with more men to make a final blow to the russian campaign, taking over their capital. when Spring came to Russia we started to march against their capital and stormed it at once. After a few days battle it was in our control but sadly our king died in the fighting in moscow when russia tried to retake it with superior numbers numbering 3 to 1 in their favor, but even when the king fell, Swedish armies won and could get back to swedish borders to resupply. Now Russia had no other way after the crushing defeats, then to surrennder to us. Mean while our armies had taken 4 cities from the polish and this was good for the war but not any longer. Peace treaty reached the king with a Russian banner. The king having not enough time didn't realise that the peace treaty wasn't from russia and it didn't offer Ingermanland but a fool he was at the time accepted it and suppringsly gained to provinces in North Germany instead. and this was no good news. this made the war efforts against Russia harder and we gained less honor in this treaty.  but soone or later Russia offered Ingermanland and we agreed and a few days later,after alot of discussions, made our allies agree on a white peace withc they thought was very generous after they have taken almost all bordering cities in Russia.

Peace time

Now we had peace in our lands again and our economy even better then before the war. So.. we started to colonize alittle more, enough to gain a few provinces but not to get Spains attention in the North America, but ALAS, it failed. A diplomate from spain demanding that we stoped our expansion in america and we agreed fearing that a war to devistating would come to us but after some dimplomace spain agreed that we were allowed to lay claim on some provinces nearby our settlments.

WORLD WAR 1

Our allies, the Ottomans, declaring for many years that the supported the slavic ppl in the baltans, couldn't stand the oppression they got from the Austrain Empire so they declared war upon them to free the slavic ppl of their cruelty. As being friends with us they realised that Sweden was much better staying away from this conflict and didn't ask us to honor our alliance. But the rest of Europe didn't like the Ottomans imperilistic ways so France and their allies,Spain,hannover and Saxony declared war and this time we Honored the alliance complitly and started to wage war against Frances vassals hannover to make them surrender. Russia being an evil empire and  sons of dogs , declared war upon us, demanding Ingermanland and probably more because now they thought that we were weak. But NO we knew this was the way of the russians and we alrdy had an army waiting for them with our finest generals. Sweden having to fight on to fronts had to decide on witch frony they should put all their efforts to and the decision ended up being against Russia in Finland. After some major victories in Hannover, France started to send troops with a finally blow in the war in northern Europe. Sweden losing and entire army in one battle had to withdraw to swedish main soil leaving Jylland,bremen and western pommern to france armies.

as they fightings goes in Russia no one as taken the big blow to the other one. they Tides turn swiftly their and one day russia has the advantage but yet to lose it the other day to sweden armies. but sweden have gained one city against russia so far. but russia have almost taken all the border cities against our allies.
