Mr. Allen Jacobs
Lived in Era 19, got 1 heir(s) (Allen Jacobs II) and was a member of Lightning Riders
Allen Jacobs looked out onto the horizon from the walls of the mighty city of Darlith. He reflected upon his life up to now and if any past experiences could have prepared him for this very moment. The very moment that would decide the fate of thousands of his loyal subjects.
As he looked out at the battalions of the kingdom -=LTU=-, he decided that he would have to swallow his fear and lead his men. He addressed his troops:
"Many of you have never experienced the thrill of combat. It is a terrifying place where we see who are the real warriors. I swear to you! If every last one of you goes out onto that field of combat, and proves that you are not mere men, but he is a beast among men, then I promise to you that you shall be living on with the gods for all eternity.
"SO NOT ONE STEP BACK! THIS IS THE CRY OF YOUR CITY DARLITH! DO NOT COUNT DAYS, NOR YOUR OWN CASUALTIES! ONLY COUNT THE NUMBER OF ENEMIES YOU HAVE SLAUGHTERED! THIS IS THE CRY OF YOUR MOTHER! THIS IS THE CRY OF YOUR KINGDOM! ONWARD! DEATH TO THE INVADER!"
Shortly after the cheering and the applause, the soldiers of -=LTU=- began their conquest, scaling the walls, arrows seemed as though they were rain.
Allen Jacobs closed his eyes for a brief moment, trying to muster the courage that he knew was deep inside him. To protect all that he held dear. To protect all that he had worked for. Placing a hand at the handle of his sword, he charged into the enemy masses...
Mr. Allen Jacobs II
Lived in Era 19, got 0 heir(s) and was a member of Lightning Riders
Darlith was lost.
Shortly before the city of Darlith fell into the hands of -=LTU=- Allen Jacobs told his son, who was the captain of the guard, to take the 50 best swordsman and 1000 peasants and flee to safety. Immediately, Allen Jacobs II headed for Balewind, the capitol city of the Lightning Riders. However, upon arrival he realized that Balewind was also under siege by the forces of -=LTU=-. He departed immediately.
After ten more days of grueling travel across the plains Jacobs II settled New Darlith. Hopefully, this location would be safe from further invasion.
When the city had established itself, the lookouts noticed a large mass of soldiers approaching New Darlith. Around 200 soldiers, led by Andres Aguinaldo of Balewind trudged through the gates of the city. They had fled Balewind before it had fallen. Aguinaldo pledged to assist in defending New Darlith 'til death takes him.
Northwind, led by Mr. Werdna, joined the Lightning Riders. However, they were soon overtaken by the forces of -=LTU=-. Mr. Werdna was able to evacuate the city and lead his men to the walls of New Darlith, despite a few hundred soldiers killed and hundreds more injured.
In a few days, the "Warriors of the South" of-=LTU=- set camp outside New Darlith. The few thousand soldiers in the city, including soldiers from Balewind and Northwind, would be no match for the division of troops that lay wait outside. The only thing to do was to wait for their possible demise.
Within days the attack on the city commenced. Allen Jacobs II, Andres Aguinaldo, and Werdna led their men in the defence of New Darlith. It was a brutal battle with thousands of men lost on both side. However, the armies of the Lightning Riders were able to hold on to the city while bringing a Division down to a Brigade despite being hopelessly outnumbered. -=LTU=- was forced to retreat and regroup. They will undoubtedly come back stronger and thirsty revenge. In the meantime, the city of New Darlith hoped in vain for a savior to deliver them from this maddness while their numbers dwindled.
It was only a matter of days before the enemy launched the next assault. Try as they might, the Lightning Riders could not hold the city of New Darlith. Their armies fell to the sword of -=LTU=-.
